I've have been using this restaurant on and off for over 10 years. I can honestly say I've never had a bad meal from them! The prices are very good for the standard of food they serve. Takeaway/delivery or eat in you will not be disappointed! Proper tikka the way it should be! I can't say my favourite dish as everything I have had I have enjoyed!

Albela honestly is the best in Birmingham!, I've been eating and ordering from here for a few years now and the food is always amazing and tonight was no exception, just perfect every time 👌

Been going here for many years on and off. It's a small no frills restaurant, however the food is always delicious!! The prices have stayed low considering the cost of living. The staff have been there forever, they are polite and courteous all of the time. Worth a visit.

Great tasting food, great service, can take you're own alcohol but will need to make sure its chilled before getting there. We took a few bottles of beer & champagne, unfortunately they don't have ice buckets.

Becuase it was cheap I half expected it to be not very good but I was surprised Succulent chicken no fat on the lamp and great korma sauce all round really good place

Excellent food while maintaining excellent food hygiene coupled with friendly service and swift delivery - you will never feel let down. I strongly recommend the venue for whether eating in or for your takeaway. Must visit.

Fantastic little restaurant. Intimate, inviting and yet boasting an extensive menu that includes practically every imaginable balti, curry and biryani dish. The epitome of top tier Bangladeshi cuisine.

Best Lamb Balti I've eaten in a long time. Cooked perfectly and an added bonus u can request how spicy u would like, I always go for mild on this my 5th visit. Very friendly and helpful staff make u feel like ur eating at home and I always get a "Doggy Bag" as I never seem able 2 eat it all and next day warm it up and its even better.

Mint and red sauces was not like one I had tasted before not good. Starter and mains were OK. Service was 10/10.

Absolutely fantastic food. Polite delivery driver and came piping hot. I'm quite local to this place and it always skipped my mind when ordering. But this place is a gem 💎. The food was exceptional. Spices were cooked out well and the food was full of taste. I had the vindaloo (chicken) and it's one of the best I've had in a very very long time. The chef's special sigdi was full of flavour and bursting with contrast with each mouthful from a little sweet at first taste, but then to a little spicy. The starter chapati roll was so tasty and there was plenty of chicken in everything. Can't wait to order again. Fantastic food done well and in this cost of living crisis, extremely well price with exceptional service. A true delight to the taste buds.

We went there over 20yrs ago and it's still good food clean staff same but older 😉 Its was very cheap or used to be but price increased which was bound to happen still good value for money Very quiet but nice 👍

HAD Steak Alabela excellent .but sorry to say that the last 2 times the Steak has been inedible very disappointed 😱

This would normally be a 5 star rating ... my mother in law has been commong to this place for over 30 years (previous establishment included) and I 11 years.(We even moved to Wolverhampton and still go to this restaurant)..we attended on the 12th June for a birthday meal I dont know if there has been a new chef or just a bad day but this was our first bad meal...the shish kebabs and the chicken pakora were far too spicy and I couldn't finish mine, Mils curry had peppers in it where it normally doesn't, nothing was said about the addition so she never ate it, the chicken tikka main was also to spicy. Despite these issues we still had to pay full price - not that I expected a discount but the offer of woukd have been nice as so much food went to waste.

IV`E BEEN USING THIS RESTUARANT FOR OVER 35 YEARS, AND USED THE CAFE WHEN IT WAS A CAFE, GREAT FOOD, GREAT PRICES, SHOULD GO IN THE CURRY HALL OF FAME. FABULOUS, I`M JUST ABOUT TO ORDER MY MEAL. 5*****

This place has been open for decades and, after trying for the first time a couple of weeks ago, have no idea why. A certificate is proudly displayed on the wall - the chef won a curry competition in Cambridge 20 years ago and the food feels like it's from that era too. We ordered a number of curries (butter chicken, lamb karahi, pudina chicken, veg) all of which were bad. Definitely avoid if you're looking for traditional desi curries. Very much aimed at the English afterpub market.

I am really sorry to say that they use to have a good food I ordered food it's taste like sugar i think chef was in hurry to go home & didn't make it properly it tasted like sugar and tomatoe 🍅🍅 soup and put in some chick peas warm up in macrowave I couldn't believe it 😔😔😔😡😡

Nice and quiet dining experience with great and helpful staff. Always have a smile and ready to help with any request. Food tastes amazing and is fresh. My usual spot to have a nice meal at the end of the day.

Had high hopes after reading some positive reviews. Very dissapointed. Did not taste like authentic south asian food. At all. Waste of money. The starters tasted undercooked. The chicken tikka masala tasted like tinned tomatoes mixed with coconut milk. Very overly sweet and raw tasting spices and tomato puree. Not creamy at all. Will add picture. If you have had authentic south asian food stay away.
