My husband and I used to go to this park when we lived nearby. Now that we moved, we went back again to reminisce and to get some fresh air while we walk for 3-4 lapses. The place is very beautiful. We saw last time swans. But when we came back, we didn't. Everything is incredible. There are courts for people who love to train tennis. There are fairs and mini golf as well. There is Mac if you want to stop by for a coffee and bread. If you are a nature lover, the place suits you very well. Good to go out with your family, friends, dogs or just go with your bike. In summer, you'll see a lot of different variations of flowers. It's nice to go around, play or just have a picnic.

It’s huge park with different kinds of facilities, including tennis courts. Sufficient parking spaces. It’s a wonderful place for family to have picnics. MAC(Midland Art Centre) is close to the park that you are easy to find toilets and cafe. The lake is beautiful and lots of birds, ducks and swans. Kids will definitely love it.

Cannon Hill Park is a true gem! This park's beauty is awe-inspiring, and its vast expanse offers a serene retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Whether you're seeking solitude or want to enjoy a peaceful stroll, this place has it all. The boating facilities add a touch of adventure and fun to the experience. And if you need a quick refreshment, the café Mac is there to satisfy your cravings. Trust me, this park is a must-visit destination for anyone looking to relax and unwind in nature's embrace.

Always a mixed bag visiting Cannon Hill Park. The park itself is gorgeous and so well maintained - the nature is incredible with a good cafe and toilets in the center etc. A lovely day out. However it's let down by the people who visit. The main grass area is always covered with people left behind rubbish (there are plenty of bins available so it's just disrespect and laziness), there's always people smoking weed, people playing extremely loud music on the speakers, etc. Such a shame as the space is beautiful. Perhaps some park security would be a good idea.

Had a great day for a lovely picnic with family. Place is ready to welcome the spring season with great sites of quaking ducks and singing swans. You can spend a whole day in this park to ride your cycles, walk around with your little ones and enjoy the sun.

Nice Park with great scenery and facilities. Lots of wildlife and paths to walk on. The toilet facilties were of a very high standard. There was also the ability to participate in crazy golf, train ride and boating. We really enjoyed our time there. The place is family friendly also.

Went with my daughter and grandsons. Feeding the geese, that are very friendly indeed. However, I would suggest to bring a bag of bird seeds, as bread is not very good for them. Had a great time on the kids funfair. Liking the idea of a card to put money on instead of having to hand out cash. The grounds are lush and gorgeous blooms. A new waterfall area. Great playgrounds for the kids. The boating area is now on the bigger lake, more to explore. And instead of boats, they are now Swan pedalos. Wheelchair friendly areas, and accessible disabled toilets. I was able to use my electric chair on the grass as well. All round, a great day was had and we will definitely go again.

Beautiful park . Kids can have a good time. The fun park has limited but good rides for toddlers to teens. The train ride covers the whole park and kids enjoyed it. Lots of green area for playing around. Only downside is the swan boat ride which was closed .

Cannon Hill Park is an open, free and easily accessible nature park with several attractions for family picnics, rides, sight seeing, you name it. There are so many things to do and one cannot really run out of options here. The water front where you can feed the ducks, the jolly rides arena, the tennis court, golf court, football fields, the exhibitions inside the foyer, places to grab something to eat, places to sit outside in the sun etc. There are just more than enough things to do depending on what rocks your boat. I strongly recommend if you need a peaceful or fun filled day.

Absolutely beautiful park with lots going on! A few memorials / statues if you want a read and plenty of space it's absolutely massive! Great for picnics, game of rounders, bike rides etc. There's a fun fair for young children and it's also home to the music recording studios. There are some really talented roller skaters who will love to show you their moves and plenty of play equipment for the children. Lots of music playing of all different types , ice cream vans and they also put little boats out on the pond that you can hire. They are currently digging out some of the ponds but if you can look past that whilst they are working on it it's actually a nice place ! There's also a little wood that you can walk through and you can also gain access to the cricket fields ! I loved it!

Great park which is easy to access for all. There are car parks located around the park and is chargeable. Nice play areas, park is well maintained. The funfair is good for kids. The nature reserve is a MUST. Worth checking out.

The park is massive and clearly taken care of - all the plants are well groomed, the pavement and benches clean. There's a lot of fun things to do for kids, from a train ride to a cruise in a Swan boat. And they have great ice cream!

A massive park! Great for cycling around, long walks or little picnics. Can get very crowded at times, so have to be smart with the time you're visiting.

Absolutely it's a beautiful park 😍. It's a great place to have a fun with your families and friends. Easy access to public transport, parking and not far away from city centre.

Large park in residential area. Parking ‘RingGo’ app useful. Ponds, landscaped gardens, open areas, picnic spots, perfect for families. Little bits of rubbish around the park… shame. Cafe n toilets n exhibitions. Crazy golf and summer small fun fair.

Lovely park, big selection of flowers and different types of trees. Nice place to come for exercise or have a picnic with your family. I enjoy coming here in the evening during sunset, looks amazing during golden hour. Go for a walk or bike ride and breath the fresh air, and enjoy the beautiful views. The park has a mini golf place, tennis court, little rides for kids, boats and ice cream van. Plenty of parking although you have to pay. Also has a few big ponds with ducks, geese, pidgeons and other birds. I love to go there to feed the birds and squirrels.

Nice park with a couple of play parks, a little lake you could do boating. MAC is within the parks. Parking is £2.60 for 4 hours, paid by app is £3.21. Coffee is pretty nice within the MAC. Toilet is clean. There are also a couple of fun fair rides in the park.

Cannon Hill is a decent park that's well maintained and packs a lot into its grounds. Parking is via the Ring Go app (2.55 for 2 hours). Pity this isn't reimbursed if using the MAC or spending over a certain amount etc. With the tennis, crazy golf, wildlife centre, boating and funfair in the summer or simply picnicking and playing a few games, it's a pretty decent oasis in the middle of the city. Coffee at the MAC is good but we generally have cake from the cafe near the crazy golf which is an old school cafe offering decent portions at half decent prices. The MAC is a smashing art house though putting on courses, shows and exhibitions. Good walking trails and Selly Park tavern or Old Moseley Arms (excellent mixed grill after 5pm) nearby for a pint.

Nice relaxing morning. Little tour train takes you round the walking route. Cafe on site good value for money and no rip. Gardens and grounds very well kept. Was a mini fairground on site this seems a rip so pass. A few folks floating around on the paddle lake with peddle swans of various ilk, 2/4 seats/wings etc. All in, a free morning out as park is free to enter and spending anything is optional. Car parking payable on site at something like 2 quid four hours

My visit coincided with a very wet day in winter but the park is very pleasant, wide paths are well used by cyclists, runners and walkers alike. Facilities include cafes, toilets and several car parks. The park is beautifully planted out and boasts lakes full of wildlife.

We visited this park today for the first time. It was absolutely beautiful and we haven't even walked through all of it yet. There are a lot of green open spaces for dogs to run or to just sit and enjoy the natural surroundings. There are many nature paths among the large tall trees and some spots look like they came out of a fairytale. There's also a very large area full of Greenhouses filled with different kinds of vegetables and flowers. We didn't get to see all the greenhouses because the area was very large and we didn't have time. But if you like taking photos of flowers and/or plants, that's a great place to go! We will definitely revisit and i definitely recommend it to anyone that seeks an escape from the city vibe.

Lovely pleasant visit through Cannon Hill Park earlier today, despite the Tier 3 COVID restrictions. Mild weather the week before Xmas brought out a lot of people who all remained socially distant. The fun fair, tennis and golf remain open and people still enjoying that. Recent rainy weather has led to quite waterlogged grass so limiting the enjoyment of walking there. Overall, pleased to be out and see other people

They are doing some works and are parts closed, still can go at the playground. Also digged out most of the water. Not much lighting during evening time

Lovely big park, waterlogged with all the rain but has a huge sandy pitch which we played on today. Swings, slides, paddle boats and the MAC Centre, crazy golf, fantastic family run ice vream vans for generations. Loads of time spent easily.

It was fabulous! A perfect day would be spent here. For kids: Put the infants and toddlers in the stroller and take them for a ride amidst the green and beautiful park. For young kids, they could enjoy multiple rides or make use of the playground. For adults: A perfect place for a picnic spot, with the family. Enjoy your lunch beneath the sun and then if you want take a sweet nap. Cafeteria is a plus there. Special thanks to the management and staff there, for keeping it above the par!

Park offers a wide range of activities and attractions, from a tennis court, mini golf, boating and children park and skates park. The park is well-maintained. The Midlands Arts Centre building has exhibitions, performances, and a cafeteria. The park is more lively during the weekend and enjoyable. Cannon hill park is an excellent place to escape from the hustle and bustle of the city and find some peace time with nature. Great place to plan time with family and children.

Great place to explore and visit, lots to do, meet friends and family for picnic. With the MAC adjacent offering local sourced hand crafts to cinema and outdoor theatre. Also, housing in-house food court and various classes for all generations to enjoy

Great place to chill out with a picnic, go for a walk/run. Lots of bird life to watch in the pond. Really close to The Mac, so there are great facilities on hand such as cafe, toilet, gift shop and art gallery. Also an icecream truck which was a win Very kid friendly with enough space for games

Dog free area. The dogs are in the park but on a leash so kids feel safer to run around. Lovely flower gardens and so many activities to do in the park. Lovely grass which is perfect for picnics. I'll definitely visit again.

Cannot Hill Park on a nice sunny 🌞 day... Lovely. We booked the tennis court today. The park itself is very well maintained. Lots of green spaces... and lots of squirrels! The concrete tennis courts appeared decently maintained and did the job.

A must visit park in Birmingham. It is close to Edgbaston County Cricket stadium. The park is well maintained, having ample benches to sit, relax and enjoy the beautiful view. Good place to have a picnic day with friends and family. It also has “Swan lake boating” and “Spring coasters” within the park. The roller coasters are open full month in Summers however during other times its mostly open on weekends.

You’ll love it here. Located in South Birmingham, England. It’s also the 150th anniversary of this park next month September 2023. It’s truly a get away on this 80 acre facility of formal parkland & 120 acre of conservation & woodland plantation. It’s always so good to be here: you can visit the tennis section for sports, hop on the train, visit MAC Birmingham which is beside the water. The popular Edgbaston cricket ground is just across the road.

It’s quite park with different sort of facilities, including tennis courts. Sufficient parking spaces right in the middle of trees. It’s a suitable place for family to have picnics.Dream place for the joggers and cyclists.MAC(Midland Art Centre) is close to the park that you are easy to find toilets and cafe. The lake is beautiful and lots of birds, ducks and swans. Kids will definitely love it. The mighty trees and the benches along the walk way is beautiful,so very peaceful to sit right in the middle of trees❤

Been going here for years, still nice, open park, playgrounds for kids, lake, boats if you fancy a row. Little fair there now too, plus cafe, and the usual icecream van. Plenty of benches for a sit down and rest, nice flower beds too. If you get the weather a nice day out.

  • 4/5 Sarah 4 months ago on Google
Cannon Hill is often a hub of activity, without doubt, the most used of all Birmingham parks. I just wish they'd sort out the kids' playground.. it's such a grim area. Also, it needs much better lighting. Even in the depths of winter, it is widely used, and often, it's only thanks to the cyclists that the paths are visible.

This park was great, it's quite large with lots of pathways around the lake, some great scenery and green areas. We went on Sunday morning and it was still quite busy although there was enough space for everyone. Parking is definitely a let down, it's an okay price compared to some parks but, the spaces are limited. I paid using the phone app and was only given an option to pay for 4 hours even though we only wanted a short stroll. Overall a nice morning out and we got some great pictures too.

Cannon Hill Park is a great place to visit. I feel very fortunate to have this lovely public space on my doorstep. We regularly run and walk there and have seen some interesting wildlife. We saw a beautiful kingfisher the other day. Before the pandemic we regularly went to the MAC. Hopefully, after things get back to normal the MAC will have a resurgence.

Nice space in summer time. There's a small party park for children. A pond, mini golf, some tennis courts, a little cafe and grounds for a little skateboard session. Ample space in the grass for small events that happen yearly outside of a pandemic.
