Lovely gardens with plenty to see. Different sections of gardens allowing visitors to see different things throughout the changing seasons. We took about 2hrs to get through it all with stopping for lunch at their cafe. Tennis courts are available for the more fit and a well laid path around approx a third of the gardens through some lovely pathways and trees.

Extremely helpful and friendly staff. We were so lucky as the weather was perfect and the gardeners said it was pretty much the optimum time to see the gardens. It was pretty spectacular, and we walked around in awe smelling roses and photographing plants. You can message them and they will help you identify the species. The lady in the plant shop helped us .and we brought ice creams there too. So good we're going again later in the week. Good toilets, cafe busy so suggest an earlier visit if you want to eat. Highly recommended

Must be one of the best gardens in the UK, & an excellent national trust place to visit. Stunning. Amazing when most of the plants & shrubs are in flower. We visited mid-July. Many benches available for places to sit and take in the gardens. Lawn areas, a lily pond, a wood, & orchard to walk through, and even a tennis court. Usual good NT cafe, & shops - general plus plants.

Really lovely place to visit. It's all about the beautiful gardens as the house is quite modest. We visited in February so the grounds weren't at their best but, even so, we thoroughly enjoyed strolling through the gardens. We intend returning in a few months when they should be absolutely beautiful.

What can I say about a beautiful location? My mother took me there whilst we was on holiday cause she thought I'd like it and I do! ❀️ We went on Tuesday (20/06/23) and there were lots of beautiful gardens to walk round and lots of flowers to see and take photos of🌷🌺🌹 it was just beautiful and I was absolutely mind blown by what there was! It can get very busy before 1pm so if you wanted to go before 1pm booking is recommended. The cafe was nice too, I had a lovely pea and mint soup with lovely bread and butter which tasted spot on πŸ₯£πŸžπŸ§ˆ, my mum also had a pea and mint soup with bread and butter and she had a cake also which looked delicious 🍰 Absolutely beautiful place!!! 😊❀️

Extremely beautiful gardens are well worth a visit! You'll find helpful and friendly staff on arrival and around the grounds. A family visit today, we were fortunate with the weather, cloudy but sunny and dry. It was a beautiful time to see the gardens. It was certainly spectacular. We of all different ages walked around, enjoying the journey of the landscape and the bright colours of spring blooms. Some steps and cobbles are still easily managed by those with mobility issues or pushchairs. Lots of places to take in the views, the plants and take pictures. The house and facilities, with ample toilets, are perfectly placed by the gardens, we finished our visit with a ploughman's lunch and drinks. We enjoyed ourselves so much we're going again later in the summer. The cafe was busy, so suggest booking during the peak season or an earlier visit in the morning. Highly recommended

What a delightful site ... Majestic Gardens, so many beautiful enjoyable sites and picnic areas. Garden , Flowers Lovers will definitely enjoy . A beautiful place to visit in family for a day out ...you can play there Tennis and Croquet ( olden days styles) . FYI at the cafe there is a Free Chilled and Temperate Water Dispenser which I found really great for the little one to refresh themselves quite often along the day. The shop area a splendid, many beautiful and interesting items. Overall really good to visit.

Beautiful gardens, worth taken your time a spending some hours looking round. A garden full of surprises, some regimented clean cut areas and some a little less so. What you do see is a garden put together by a person that loved plants and had a natural gift for the beautiful areas you see. It is important to visit National Trust β€œHidcote” booking site prior to visit to make sure a time slots is available.

Stunning gardens. Β£17 for an adult if you're not a member. Bring a picnic, beautiful space to sit a enjoy your surroundings. If you have a baby, it's best to just bring a sling, it's not too bad with a pram but there are tight squeezes and steps. Shops, cafe, garden centre and second hand book store available. Definitely recommended.

If you like your house and garden done in the arts and crafts style, then this is the place for you! Great introduction to the place by guide, good facilities including cafe toilets and garden shop. Loved the garden rooms and the individual character of the places, gets more wild as you move further from the house. Great to see. Well worth a look

Visited here today and the gardens are very pleasant to walk around with a good variety of plants. The estate is quite compact so it's easy to find your way round. Nice cafe too.

Beautiful gardens, where you can get lost walking four hours around them, seeing plants from different parts of the world. This place also has beautiful greenhouses, crops and playgrounds. You have a few shops available, including plants grown there. Great for kids and adults alike.

Beautiful gardens. Lots of 'rooms' of different flower themes. So much to see and although the carpark was full, the gardens did not feel crowded and there were lots of 'silent ' spots to sit quietly. Lots of walks if you like long and short. Book carpark if going before 1pm on NT site. Lawn games available. Tea room. Highly recommend.

Welcome back to Hidcote Another lovely day weather wise and an array of plants to see. Looking up at the big old cedars and seeing the autumnal colours, the gentle breeze that holds that time of changing seasons one can't help but take in a deep breath and lament the seasons behind us. Enjoy!

If there's one 'Must go to' place to visit in the Cotswolds, this is it😁. A fascinating talk about the history of Hidcote Garden, how Lawrence Johnston planned and made it. Then several hours spent walking through the 'garden rooms'. A delight at every turn. The reflections in the raised pool, Mrs Winthrop's sheltered garden, the wonderful Plant House, the Gazebos, and Heaven's Gate through the woodland walk. A magical day. Do visit.

Absolutely beautiful gardens. Despite the heavy rain when we visited, we loved every minute. Many different areas to see and all very pretty. Just a shame more of the Manor isn't on show.

A smallish country house with a good sized and very interesting garden. You can only visit a few rooms in the house (of which one is arranged to show how it would have looked back in the 1920s, prior to NT ownership, and the other to a series of boards contrasting the staffing and tools use to maintain the garden 'now and then'). The main show is really the garden, which is well worth a visit - it's large (but not cast, as per some NT properties) and highly varied, with a large number of different 'regions', each with its own character. It was pretty busy when we visited (on an overcast day in September, outside school holidays), with the overflow car park already filling up at Midday. Not much else to say, really - pleasant garden, worth a couple of hours, likely to be quite crowded.

We loved Hidcote! The beautifully laid out gardens and the amazing history behind them. Inspired, I believe by the arts and craft movement. A lovely way to spend a few hours.

Lovely gardens and wooded area. A lot of flowers out when we visited. There is a map you get at reception which points the way. The plants are not named as they say it's in keeping with it being a "private garden" we used Google lens to find names. You can go in a couple of the rooms of the house where there is some information on the original owners. We spent just over two hours doing the trail around the gardens. There are some great views from the end of the long walk. You need to book a slot in the carpark as it's not very big, this is easily done a on "click through" from the NT website. It's free but means you get a space. There's a cafe and a shop.

We visited within the last hour opening hours. Lovely warm welcome from staff with apologies the cafe was just about to close. Fine with us due to only just had refreshments at another NT cafe. The gardens were full of different types of plants and themes. They were easy to walk around and very relaxing in atmosphere. Lots of interesting information about some of the gardens especially in the working garden. We will be calling in again one day due to having a hour to look around. It was enough but definitely could had stayed longer due to how beautiful the gardens were.

Took a 2 hour stroll through the magnificent gardens at National Trust Hidcote near Stratford upon Avon, absolutely stunning! The variety of trees shrubs and plants are amazing. Particularly impressed with the wild flowers and aromas along every path you take.

Beautiful gardens that are well worth a visit. Book (free) timed tickets online as it gets busy with coach arrivals. There are lots of benches dotted around to sit and enjoy this beautiful space. With great views looking over the Cotswolds.

Lose yourself in the wealth of garden rooms… wander round the formal/informal areas marvelling at the flora. Great cafe( rather busy- queues) but loads of benches for picnics. Clean toilets, nice gifts/ plants but bit expensive.

Second visit to this lovely garden. We got there around half past one. No problems getting in. We went for food first and by that time hot food was running out. Plenty of cakes and sandwiches. The garden is so cleverly put together the rooms all have vistas through arches or openings. Packed planting with loads of interest.

Lovely relaxing place to visit. The house itself offers limited access but the gardens and grounds are beautiful. You can even picnic in open areas although they have a nice cafe. Plentiful parking. Nice gift shop and area selling garden decorations.

Excellent and extensive gardens for exploring and relaxing. Lovely walks. Well connected to footpaths. Beautiful vignettes in a variety of plant combinations from formal gardens to the whimsical. Don't pass up Hidcote if you're in the area!
