Great beer, my favorite bitter. Tried the mild for the first time and it was fantastic too. Cheese and onion cobs great as well.

Lovely old fashioned pub , like stepping back in time. The food is probably one of the reasons on a dinner time this place is packed out. Beer is by Bathams can't go wrong there, and they back motorbike racing with their own teams.

Perfect pub, excellent beer and good local pub food. Bathams pubs usually offer snacks, but here you can get cooked meals. Great beer. Had a fascinating chat with the Bathams sisters.

It's a great little "rabbit warren" of a pub with little no frills rooms here, there and everywhere. It is usually frequented by the older generation. Batham's beer and simple food. No hot rolls on our visit but you really couldn't complain about what we had. The rolls, with door stop fillings, are big enough to share.

One of the best Black Country pubs, home to Batham's brewery. Their range of beers are always available. Large doorstep filled cobs are available from the bar. This is a multi roomed pub, with nice leather bench seating.

Went in last week after our uncles funeral. Fantastic food, great price. Just 1 member of staff behind the bar that could do with being more pleasant. But altogether fab place

A special pub in the Black Country serving a great bitter and an award winning mild. We tried the bar food, but the pork pie and the scotch egg were top quality. We had a very warm welcome and were soon chatting to the locals. It's a great pub, don't miss it.

This legendary bathams pub in the heart of the Black Country is in my favourite top 10 pubs in the whole of England. The vine (Known locally as the bull and bladder, it used to be next to an old slaughterhouse) is a long pub with an ornately decorated exterior, with a Shakespeare quote "blessing of your heart you brew good ale" on the edge of the roof. It has a very traditional front bar a larger room at the back with traditional serving Hatch. It serves excellent beer, bathams mild and best bitter. It has lovely homemade traditional food. It is dog and child friendly, and has its own car park. Regularly featured in The Good Beer Guide. Highly recommended.

Went to the vine for a fund raising event. It was great. We ate and drank there as well as participating in the fund raiser. The staff were very efficient and very friendly. The cobs are great very filling and the ale is to die for! Be back soon.

Lovely old fashioned pub with fabulous food! Faggots, pie and other hot dishes are to die for and so easy on the pocket. A selection of hot and cold cobs too that are more like mini loaves and full to bursting! I'm not generally an ale drinker but a cob and a pint of bathems can't be beaten πŸ˜‰

Collected my 9th ale trail stamp here. Haven’t been to the Bull since I last completed the Delph run circa 2002. Always has been a lovely pub.

Lovely traditional pub! Absolutely loved my visit. Would have given 5* except for the huge number of children running around despite it being 10pm on a Saturday night.

Hi everyone. Hope you are all ticketyboo. Used to be a firm favourite pub of mine. Ale, passable but i was not too enthusiastic about it. Tom normally keeps a good pint and is a sound gaffer, nice lad. If your passing, pop in.

Well I was very pleasantly surprised on my first visit here. My cousin suggested we go here for lunch. It's a lovely good 'old fashioned' pub and such an interesting place. The layout I thought is very quaint, with a central hallway and four rooms leading off. A nice beer garden at the back too. The food, only provided at lunch time, was freshly cooked and delicious. Very friendly and welcoming. Planning on returning soon.

Great lunch, great atmosphere and great beer. What else can you say. We'll keep coming back when the food is that good. Love the place and the people. Update 2018... New management have taken a few months to get it back to the level and I can honestly say they are there now. New menu and new decor this year. Still the best value and quality food in the area.

Great pub, great beer & massive cobs very reasonably priced. a proper 'old fashioned' pub. Just wish it was closer to home.

One of the best pubs in Britain in my opinion. Home brewed beer and unspoilt by "progress" in every way.

Absolutely fantastic just as an iconic black country real ale pub should be, traditional with great beer and food to die for. Faggots ,chips and peas for Β£3.50, lunch with 2 pints of best bitter and change from Β£10 quid unbelievable and staff who could not do too much for you.

Visited The Vine / Bull and Bladder on Friday 06 August 2021 for a drink of Bathams Mild. It is several decades since our last visit . ( The Bull & Bladder used to be painted cream in previous times and the car park on the other side of the road did not have tarmac !) The inside is mainly the same layout with an improved toilets and Beer garden to the rear. We went in and sat in the large rear room which has the same layout that I remember. I ordered two halves of Bathams Mild from the hatch / door in the corridor as the bar in that room is not in use , just like decades ago. I was really surprised by the cost Β£2.50 a pint !

The friendliest pub on the planet. I don't go very often but I always get a conversation with some of the locals. The Bathams bitter is always first rate.
