I spent a day with Kim melting heiroloom gold and making it into a new ring for my sister. It was one of the best one-to-one teaching I have had! Can’t recommend Kim’s workshops enough, worth every penny. And, The Shed is set in a beautiful little garden.if I could give 10 stars I would. Marianne

This was an absolutely wonderful experience. I booked a class for my daughter and she loved every minute of it. Kim is exactly the sort of teacher everyone wants to learn from--she gave clear instructions, she explained why things worked the way they do, she answered questions, she provided lots of choices and design options, she gave room to discover and make small mistakes, she taught how to fix those mistakes--all while being a lovely, kind, interesting person. I can't recommend this highly enough!

Amazing one to one tutorial session. Kim is so knowledgeable and easy to work with. She understood exactly where I was at and what I wanted to achieve and went above and beyond to deliver. I cannot recommend her tuition highly enough if there is a skill you need or are struggling with. I will be going back for sure.

Fantastic and informative morning spent brainstorming, creating, sand casting and finishing with Kim in her amazing jewellery making workshop. Kim’s patience and infectious love of her craft made 4 hours feel like five minutes! I learnt so much, got an amazing confidence boost and came out with two finished pieces that I’ll treasure. Highly recommended!

Kim is absolutely 💯 amazing. She listens to your idea and will help you make it reality. I've been doing evening sessions and the experience Kim has is astounding. I spent the morning with Kim last week and it was just fantastic. Kim was so clear and patient the whole way through, and her knowledge and expertise was admirable. We made two gorgeous rings, one of which contains some of my dad's ashes, so an incredibly special piece as (hopefully) the first of many as I embark on my silversmithing journey. We had so much fun making jewellery with Kim! My friend did this for me as a birthday present and it was such a thoughtful gift and fun experience! I made some beautiful rings and my friend made a bracelet. Kim was really welcoming, informative and made making the jewellery feel easy with a step by step process... love the workshop and space too so pretty! I had a mornings technical tuition with Kim as I’d been wanting to try sandcasting but didn’t know where to start. Kim is a great teacher, so informative & patient & we fitted in a lot in the time. The space was also lovely. I left feeling more confident and motivated. Definitely recommend. Thank you Kim!

Kim gave me private tuition with her ‘Jewellery in a Day’ course where I made an engagement ring. Kim was amazing throughout, even helping me decide on the ring design leading up to the day. Her teaching was brilliant. There was the perfect balance of doing the hands-on making myself with Kim’s nearby support and guidance. She documented the whole day with photos that I could share with my now fiancée!

Kim's the kindest, most generous of tutors. I've had the benefit of her online tutorials and some very friendly mentoring. I recommend her her constantly, because what I look for in a tutor is realistic goals and problem solving in a non-judgemental and inclusive manner

Kim mentored me through my Jewellers Academy diploma last year, and I’m so glad she did! Kim’s style was a perfect match for my way of working. No problem was unsolvable but she helped me think through different tricks and techniques I could use, whilst also providing a wealth of knowledge built up over her years of experience to help me along my path. There is definitely a science element to jewellery making, but Kim brought out the art which really enabled me to learn techniques inside out and put my own spin on them. I can’t wait to continue my journey with some 1:1 tutoring.

Best day ever! I went to see Kim for a 1-2-1 tutorial in sand casting at her magical shed. She tailored our session specifically around what I wanted to learn and how I would be able to continue progressing and using those skills on my own. She is the most warm, welcoming host, full of humour and there is no end to her knowledge, not only about jewellery making but also in the way she tunes into you to show you the most accessible ways for you to achieve your goal, whatever your skill and experience level may be. The time flew by and we packed in a ridiculous amount, she very helpfully followed up our session by emailing me detailed steps of everything we'd done with lots of extra info too. My confidence in my jewellery making has improved massively with thanks her :) p.s she has the best workshop assistant 🐶

I cannot recommend the 'jewellery in a day' course enough! Kim was super helpful guiding me through making my first piece of jewellery and I'm looking forward to going back again in the future.

An afternoon with Make it with Kim is unquestionably one of the best presents my other half has ever bought me, not only did I get a piece of jewellery I loved , but I spent a superb afternoon making it with Kim, one of the most patient and informative teachers I’ve come across. With no prior experience I now have knowledge, passion and a thirst to do more. If you’re not sure if it will be worthwhile I can assure you it is!

Absolutely brilliant day with Kim. She's incredibly knowledgeable and helpful, and I was able to make really lovely ring with her guidance and help (and everyone has complimented said ring!). We absolutely loved our jewellery making workshop with Kim. Neither of us had ever made jewellery before, but Kim guided us both through every step effortlessly. Even though we were both making different pieces, she taught us simultaneously - letting us practise first and then going on to our final jewellery. Totally took our mind off normal life worries, and we came away with beautiful handmade jewellery too! Brilliant teacher, great workshop space and all the tools. Would definitely recommend.
