Great family space to walk and connect with local nature. ~5 miles worth of trails in different directions with some spaces to sit and rest in portions of the trails.

Beautiful access to the swamp with trails, boardwalks, and pavilions. Birders delight. Saw an anhinga fishing. Learned about importance of wetlands.

Incredible nature walk. Very easy to access beautiful wetlands. I was there during the cool season, so many birds, and I spotted two gators. One just napping on the trail. Spent some time watching a bald eagle fish.

Beautiful park with a surprising array of animals. Some of blue trail needs to be repaired. Wear waterproof shoes! Saw a pair of bald eagles and many other pretty birds. Even am alligator was out and it was a cold day.

Went on the full moon hike and it was amazing! Beautiful, saw Gators, egrets, cranes, different kinds of frogs (like the regular ones you see around here, tree frogs) and I saw the biggest bullfrog I've seen in my life! The pictures of the moon look great and you can see the reflection in the water perfectly. Love this place, will be back, do recommend!!

Lots of critters and wildlife to see. Nice amenities like bathrooms, water bottle filling stations, and a visitors center campus. Definitely parts of the trail less traveled in need of some TLC, but considering the location and size the park is well loved and cared for.

This is the perfect family friendly trial! Although the path needs a few repairs, it does cover most of the trail and allows for exploration through fairytale marshlands. There is a ton of wild life, a fair amount of benches, swings, and even a park for the kids to play! Definitely do be aware of the ants and large bugs! Great place to bring a picnic and get out some of the kids energy

This park is quite huge. It has so many ponds (or cells) to walk around and take in the beauty of nature. There are plenty of wading birds, tons of butterflies (black swallowtails are currently in record number) and song birds. My favorite was the Painted Bunting. There are plenty of places to sit and take in the scenery and there are bathroom facilities in certain areas. But beware of huge alligators blocking the trails; some are not afraid of humans and will not move out of the way.

Great nature walk for the family. Some of the trails are wooden platforms, making it easy for mobility of strollers and wheelchairs. Playground area for the kids, which mine really enjoyed. Next to the playground is a camp fire pit. Be sure to bring water as there are no water points outside of the restrooms. The boys and girls scouts have done a great job contributing to maintain the grounds. Great opportunity for volunteer work.

Love the diversity of the area. Saw lots of beautiful birds, trees, butterflies etc. many of the boards on the walkways and bridges are rotten clear through so be very cautious. I hope they inspect the high up spots really well for safety as the boardwalks and lower bridges are rotten and unsafe.

It is a beautiful place to go for a hike with your dog. But be careful of the alligators. We encounter one just resting on the trail. He did not move at all. We turned back and chose another trail.

I find this park to be a very unique and intersting place. I enjoy spending time here observing wildlife - birds, lizards, insects and plants that made the human-created water treatment areas into their habitat. The colors of the swamp vegetation, the atmosphere of the ponds seem to be changing with the seasons.

While most of us normally don't get excited about visiting a place with "swamp" in its name, Phinizy Center offers some amazing hiking paths that take us through some remarkably beautiful wetlands. During my visit today, I saw an egret, a turtle, and quite a few dragonflys enjoying their Friday at home. I also had to catch my jaw multiple times after it dropped upon seeing and hearing the unique beauty of this "swamp". If you like to do more outside, you'll love Phinizy Center! And if you like science, come here to learn about their work to protect local water quality and wildlife.

This is the perfect place for a quiet hike to get your nature fix. It's very visually pleasing and tranquil. You can walk as much or as little as you like and there's endless beauty to behold.

This is a beautiful area to walk with family, friends, or significant others. There are lots of trails to choose from. The boardwalks wind through the woods, around and along water features, and branch off into pavilions and seating areas. There is a nature center and play area. Chances are high that you'll see some wildlife. We often spot herons, ducks, turtles, snakes, and alligators. When the weather is warm, you should watch where you step. Posting below some pics of shy snakes we passed on a day when the weather was in the 70s.

We went for the annual Easter egg hunt and it was our first time visiting. Beautiful hike through the swamp to get to the egg party. Sounds of nature all around and we even saw a snake (eastern swamp snake I think) swimming through the water—so cool! The Easter egg hunt, games, and crafts were a lot of fun. Our favorite part was the handmade felt puppets we got and little homemade basket with candy. We didn’t have time to hike the entire park but we can’t wait to go back and explore more. Magical piece of property.

Phinzy swamp is of course a swamp surrounded by walking trails and play areas. My family enjoyed our time there, watching families and couples explore. The water bird population was a pleasure to observe and we saw the largest alligator I have seen in the wild which was a real thrill though the gator seemed contentedly immobile. We had a great time and look forward to exploring the full trail.

Love the paintings and information on the three signs I saw. Relaxed to music from Billy S before enjoying the Earth Day riding tour through the man-made ponds, including aeration areas and pumps. Among other smaller creatures we saw alligators, red wing blackbirds, egrets, and a huge 15 year or so old osprey nest on top of the airport wind monitoring tower, but didn't see the ospreys. We also enjoyed the indoor animal displays and the boardwalk over part of the swamp. Very well done event.

Nice park area, not too busy on the week days, clean restrooms, great walking trails bring sun screen and bug spray on the hot summer days, long pants if you venture off trail. Didn't see any swamp puppies this time around, hopefully next time!

Beautiful walk and educational experience Park needs work on the trails and better signage!!! We got turned around a couple of times. Walked for over two hours and 4.5 miles. Mark the cells too. There were trail names NOT on the map. Confusing for people traveling from out of the state.

Nice place for a hike , with great view and wild life to watch. Unfortunately, due to the cold weather, we couldn't see any Aligators. Hopefully, better luck next time

Great, stop to take a quick hike. We saw two alligators in the water and the bathrooms were very clean.

If you love nature then you'll love walking this nature walk. It's a beautiful and natural spot. I went at night the last time I went and it's always amazing there!

Beautiful sprawling nature park with all sorts of different habitats hosting a variety of flora and fauna. If you never seen one before, the constructed wetlands are a great spot to see an American alligator.

Loved this place! Loved walking through the swamp area on a boardwalk. Saw plenty of alligators! Trail is easy.

What a great place. We were just looking for things to do, and this popped up. We are so glad we went. Crazy to be just walking around and find a gater blocking the way. Good thing there are multiple trails to go on to get back to the visitor center.

Phinizy is a prime nature park teaming with beautiful plant life and wildlife . If you enjoy being outside in nature, you will not be disappointed ! This place offers something for everyone . You can get adventurous and walk trails , bird watch , look for gators . You can enjoy family activities with your littles and play on their park , or have a picnic at the picnic tables . And they have a trail with a swing you can enjoy with your mate for a relaxing outdoor day . This place is a total gem for My family 🫶🏼

I love boardwalks, and this has a couple great ones with benches and places to sit along the way. Really beautiful park, lots of wildlife to see - turtles, birds, alligators - and lots of walking loops to go as far or short as you'd like. They also have some swings and a small play area for kids. Great place for a walk and picnic!

I didn't get to see any alligators but I did see a ton of trash. This place is horribly polluted and appears it's been that way for a long time. I also wish I had worn taller water proof boots because it is a swamp. I didn't get to go very deep into the swamp because the water was too deep for me to walk through.

Very nature-y. Areas have water over flow and on a sunny day has ankle deep flooding on the trails after a rainy day day before. So wear appropriate shoes. Kids thought it was fun. Big spiders and webs. Lots of nature around. And peaceful.
