Hotel Dongar Matha ! What a lovely place. Just about an hour and half drive from Pune to Bhor, this place is in Pasure village. You have to take a right turn from Bhor town's petrol pump and travel about 18 Kms. The roads leading towards hotel Dongar Matha are heavenly and serene plus you get an awesome view of the Bhatghar dam's back water throughout the way. Its just lovely in the rains and winter. Now coming back to the hotel, the food is simply awesome and has the earthy taste. You should try the chicken or mutton handi which they serve sizzling hot in an earthen pot, see pic. Just try their vada which is served with the handi or curries you will just ask for more n more. Kombdi vade or mutton vade they are just delicious. The family which runs this wonderful joint is so warm and welcoming, so you really get the gharguti khanaval's taste and feel. Now lets come to the view from the sit out place, what a view of the back waters and the lush green mountains surrounding, that all i can say, you must visit the place to have the overall experience!

I recently dined at Dongar Matha restaurant, and I must say, the location atop the hill is truly amazing. The non-veg dishes, especially the Mutton Handi, were delightful. Kombdi Wade and Fried Fish also stood out with their delicious flavors. A great dining experience overall!

This restaurant has One of the best location. Surrounded with beautiful scenic view of lakes and mountains. Serves relishing veg and non veg food......and it's very neat and tidy including the kitchen area. They give you a quick service. They also have a Swizz tent stay option. Overall a perfect package in all terms! 👍👍

Wonderful food with nice hospitality and a great view. Owner and family itself working to provide best possible experience for the visitors. We visited in a huge number of 25+ with Pre booked thali menu items and everyone was a more than satisfied at the end.

If you are looking for some rural atmosphere with homely food then this is the place. We went for lunch we ordered 3 mutton thali and 1 kaal mutton fry. They served very fast. Food is very hygienic and place too. If you want a half break from Pune then this is the place. Long drive n food. Pro: Location is awesome. Food is great both veg - non veg options are available ,rooms are spacious can easily accommodate 5 people , good for family outing. Cons - blankets were not washed were stinking.

We ordered chicken malvani, mataka chicken handi and pomfret fish fry. All the dishes were very tasty and served piping hot. Also the location of the restaurant is beautiful. Do visit this place if you are traveling nearby bhor.
