Old rooms, bad service. Rooms are old (double deluxe). Services is very bad. We paid for upgrade from semi deluxe to double deluxe by paying 1500 inr extra per room, and found bed bugs, no water supply, and later no hot water after they trying to fix it for 30 minutes. Eventually the flush water also didn't work. Restaurant food was good, but most of the items on menu were not available.

This is the only hotel which is a bit away from the congestions of the town. Located in a peaceful area, you can have a nice vacation well spent here, enjoying all the splendors of Badami at a walkable distance. Auto s and taxis also available if required. The staff are very friendly and do take care of all the needs. They will arrange for an early check-in if rooms are available. The restaurant is neat and clean and the food is also nice. Only thing is that, there is a small delay in delivery of food after your order. Else, everything is good. You can take a peaceful night walk through the well maintained walkways in and around this hotel . Its worth the price. Rating 4.7/5.

Accommodation was ok type, however we had to wait 6 h to check into our room. Although we requested many times to arrange for an early check in before reaching. Fact is, they don't allow pre check in even if the rooms are vacant. Rooms are available only after 1 pm. An average place to stay.

The perfect , Number 1 Choice of stay if u want to explore Badami. This is owned and managed by the Govt. Of karnataka but dont worry its not like other Govt. Owned enterprise. The staff is well behaved, they will respond to your calls 24x7 and they know Hindi and English too. The location is just a 2 min Walk from the Badami Junction. Very calm and Quiet location. The morning vibe that you get from the bungalow is very pleasant. You can enjoy the proper beauty of a Karnataka village from here. Rooms are Old school but very clean and spacious. The construction seems to be very old and strong. Food in the restaurant is surprisingly delicious considering such a rural place.

Never judge a book by its cover. This saying applies accurately to this hotel. When I reached the location I thought I did a mistake by selecting the hotel but once we get inside the premises it is really good and maintained very well. Rooms might be bit costly but ever rupee is worth the spent.

Quite basic. Yet completely reliable. Can't compare to a 2 or 3 star place though. Expect above basic comforts. Gives more of a homely feeling. Environs are well maintained. Hygiene practices are well followed. Has an in house restaurant which offers quite limited choice. (Restaurant seemed like a low scale canteen). Prices were in alignment and very very reasonably priced. Restaurant timings are a bit rigid though. South Indian dishes tasted quite good. If you are here to visit the Badami caves and surrounding attractions, this would be one of the best options. It's run by Karnataka State Tourism dept - certain standard operating procedures can be expected. Definitely better than other options available in the vicinity. Offers additional bed and mattress on request, and for additional charge.

I was not expecting such a nice place from a government operated hotel but the perception has changed. The hotel is spacious, very clean and great food as well! Near to the badami bus stand as well so nice place to stay. Free Filtered Water Available so that you can use less plastic and fill your water-bottle Staff is super kind! Food was also good exceeding expectations. Cons: Being a solar powered non ac room, the time takes to heat water is more. We didn't want to waste water so didn't tried after 1 bucket so something can be done there. WiFi connectivity is not available near non ac rooms from 108-110 Hotel cannot be identified at night! There needs to be proper lighting to indicate the turn for the hotel!

Rooms are decent, prefer semi Deluxe and deluxe rooms. Room service need to be improved. Staff at reception and restaurant were very helpful and understanding. Location wise Hotel Ambience is nice, under PWD compound, big garden area. It's at RamDurg highway so Out side of hotel campus no nearby local transport facility, Rickshaw charges are too high and bus stand is far.

Visited during the peak season in last week of December. Their check in time was 1 pm, but we reached at 6 am. They provided us a room vacated by some guests to keep our luggage. The room was not cleaned yet. So we did not rest there, just kept the luggage and went out to wander around. They called me around 9:30 to take our bags out. We did so, and requested for early check-in. But they paid no attention to it. We had to wait till 1 pm at the lounge as the luggage were kept there. Only after 1 pm they allot us our room. The hotel itself is nice, spreading over a vast area with open ground and trees. There is ample parking space outside the reception. The restaurant is also nice with some varieties but not all that are mentioned in the menu are available. The room was spacious but there is basically no room service. No serving of tea or food to the room, you have to come to the restaurant.

Best and most price worthy hotel in the whole Badami. The food here is also great, but I'll recommend you to give your whole order once. The rooms are spacious and clean.

We stayed at super deluxe room, Room as well as bathroom were really very spacious and clean. Staff was polite. Location is little far from market if you don't have your personal transport. Only downside was food. Breakfast was mostly idly, vada and sandwich. Idly vada was good. We had lunch and dinner which need improvement. Not recommended for food. Also there is no WiFi in room, but Airtel network was working good. There is nice garden where you can roam around. Overall we enjoyed our stay here.Highly recommend for stay in Badami.

Really well maintained rooms & environment. We took A/c room as it was very hot in April, but even though we didn’t had to turn on A/c as the room was very cool & huge. Food here is okay okay, but outside also there are not much hotels in Badami. So at a walkable distance there is a Vinayaka hotel, you can definitely try out food here it’s really good. πŸ‘πŸΌ Car parking space is also huge in this hotel & also Badami caves are also nearby. Overall a good stay for family. 😊

AC deluxe rooms are upstairs only. For going upstairs, a steel staircase with chequered plate steps is available. No lift. No room service available. Staff is courteous and helpful. Housekeeping also is done after follow up

We stopped here just to have lunch as i was on a college study tour. It felt good to eat something hygienic and tasty after a bunch of searching , experimenting and eating outside and facing stomach issues after eating some place else, we found this hotel, which is pretty decent and clean compared to other places to eat in Badami.

We started for 2 days to explore hampi, pattadakkal and aihole. The rooms were moderately clean, had all the basic amenities. But the chairs weren't clean. It has stains and saw a couple of bugs crawling out. Service was below par as waste clearing wasn't regular nor was fresh linen provided. The food was inconsistent. We ended up having chicken curry - one Chinese and the other Mughalai tasting the same, burnt omlette and chai and coffee blowing hot and cold in terms of its quality.

Everything is beyond expectation. The rooms are spacious, neat and Clean. All the staff is polite. Must try this as first priority to stay. Enough Parking space. KSTDC managed well, will try other locations of KSTDC from this experience.

Our stay at KSTDC Mayura Chalukya Badami was very pleasant and comfortable. The rooms are spacious and neat and the inhouse restaurant serves excellent food (a thumbs up the cook). Have to specially mention Ms. Jayalakshmi (Manager) for always being happy help us and catering to our requests with a warm smile on her face. She is an asset to the hotel. The service provided by the staff Mr. Raju, Mr. Ashok, Mr. Hanumant, Mr. Manjunath and Ms. Sridevi was excellent. Kudos to the entire team for their efforts towards guest hospitality. Overall a well maintained property.

An amazing stay, good for family or friends. Hotel has an old school charm, similar to what you can expect from any Govt. establishment. Food was good, bathrooms were clean. We stayed in the Dome room, which was an unique experience altogether. Would love to visit again.

We stayed in the wooden cottage. It was neat, clean and cozy. It's quiet close to the Badami temple and lake complex. But recommend you to take rick, would be hassle free and you wouldn't have to worry about parking and driving through the narrow lanes. Food is good too.We however tried the local meals at the veerabhadra khanavali for dinner.

i am going to check out tomorrow morning and wanted to share some feedback of this hotel. i received uncleaned room, under the bed, in the wardrobe and behind , everything was dirty. fan was making a lot of sound. this room is double room non ac . its having spring based split bed. so not comfortable for folks travelling with back pain. you can feel spring while sleeping. this room is not worth for a family of 4 at all. as they charge 800 odd for separate bed and even with 3 split bed its hard to sleep for a family. and they don’t give 4 th bed. even if they do its not worth the price of about 3500, all in all for family its not a right choice. bathroom seems like a room itself but i personally feel a bed is more important then a bathroom while we are traveller. pity situation of a govt based hotel. they do have hell lot of space but lack on monitoring quality experience.

A good hotel at affordable price. It is about 1.5km from Badami bus stand and 5.5km from the railway station. We stayed in a non-ac room and here's my feedback : 1. Spacious and clean rooms, water bottles were provided. 2. Bathroom was big enough and hygienic too, with 24 hour hot water supply. 3. Toiletries were provided. 4. Decent enough food at a budget price range, but the service is slow.

I had a really amazing experience ( stay wise). But good here is little bit below average. I am giving this rating keeping in mind it's room size, cleanliness, it's location and staff's behaviour.

Room was toooooo large. Easy to accommodate 6 persons !!! Bathroom was big and clean. Bedsheet reduced one 🌟. Service was very slow, may be due to less staff on festival time. However, we got appreciable room Service from the waiter, many thank to him.

Food options need to be improved. Felt like restaurant is not able to cope with guest volume. No availability of coffee through the day. Cleanliness can be better.

The accommodation facility is good. The room was clean and there was hot water available. AC did not seem to be working that well but it was not a problem since the weather was cool. It could be an issue in summer. Hotel is located slightly away from the town in quieter environs. The distance is walkable though. However, it also means that you need to travel a bit if you wish to have dinner elsewhere. The staff is very courteous and polite and you can see that they are working hard for customer satisfaction. My reservation had some issue due to a software glitch but Sadanand from the reception made a temporary arrangement for me and was very apologetic.

We visited while on a driving holiday from Mumbai to parts of Karnataka. Good location and a peaceful place not too far away from the city centre of the small Badami town. It is close to the caves which is the main tourist attraction in Badami. Owned by KSTDC, we stayed in the AC Semi Deluxe Rooms on the first floor which are spacious and comfortable. While Mr. Shiv Kumar, the Manager / Supervisor was very courteous and accommodating, the house-keeping lady staff needs to be dismissed as the rooms are ill-maintained with stains on the furniture. Sweeping and mopping was dismal. Complimentary breakfast is mostly south Indian, but one can order eggs and bread. Food and service at the hotel are just okay. No room service provided. Ample parking space. Our 2 days stay here was pleasant and peaceful. We could even take a stroll inside the hotel compound. Overall, a recommended place for all.

Decent hotel run by KSTDC. Parking is available outside, under a big tree. No covered parking. Rooms are spacious. Besheets were not so clean. Overall the room was very average. Food was pathetic, no taste at all. They have complimentary breakfast which was decent. Staff is rude as usual we see in any govt office/place. Surrounding is well maintained with greenery and all. Location is good , very close to the Bhoothnath temple and Caves temple.

The room and bathroom is very neat and hygenic. Food was very tasty and healthy. The problem is only with the condition of Ac.i think they are not doing any kind of maintenance. Otter that this everything is perfect.

KSTDC seriously needs to look into this and up it's game. Too many mosquitoes. The service is pathetic. They won't even have 20% of the items in their food menu. The restaurant staff is more eager to shoo away the guest rather than serving. Food is average. Rooms are decent. Got 24 hours hot water facility.

Excellent property well maintained rooms. We have had a very pleasant stay during our Badami Visit and I strongly recommend this property for anyone visiting Badami whether you are travelling solo or with family. I must also mention the food served in the restaurant is very scrumptious and awesome. I would like to Thank Mr. Sadanand and Ms.Sridevi for making our stay memorable. Thank you!

The hotel rooms are much spacious , the breakfast offered is also healthy and tasty. The area is Well maintained by landscape plantations, there are many monkeys and bats on the trees which is the only reason you get disturbed by there sound.

Stay was good. Rooms are fine. Some staff members very co operative some bit arrogant. Hotel is not good. Same curry for everything . Service speed pathetic. I am leaving the hotel on overall good note. Would like to revisit here.

Probably the best facilities in Badami town - about 1 km from the caves . Excellent rooms and facilities . Huge parking . Food is also quite well made - stayed for two nights in Dec 2021 . The staff is also very helpful and accommodative . Kitchen runs round the clock , hence the scheduled timings for breakfast and dinner are a little delayed - but you get what you want if you get in early and request them .
