A unique memorial in the original centre of downtown Basseterre. It's a roundabout itself, surrounded by business enterprises ranging from banks and restaurants to tour companies, transportation services and clothing, and cosmetics. Interestingly, it has a standpipe, which was an important part of the social landscape decades ago. And it has a working clock.

The Berkeley Memorial stands in the centre of the Circus in Basseterre. I visited it on a carnival day. The memorial features a drinking fountain as well as a clock. There are four clock faces, each one facing one of the four streets leading to the Circus. It was built in honour of Thomas Berkeley Hardtman Berkeley, a former president of the General Legislative Council in the 1880s.

Cool tourist spot near the Basseterre Ferry Terminal. Many shops nearby. Be careful when posing for pictures, cars and taxis fly by!

Pretty cool. Looks a little like the fountain in London, Picadilly circle. Big traffic circle crazy drivers, minimal driving rules. Watch yourself! It even has a clock in it the locals call "little Ben", after Big Ben in London.

Sehr leicht zu finden. Wer Zeit und Lust hat sollte sich diese Uhr / Brunnen mal anschauen. Von dort aus kann man die Stadt , Kirchen und Parks sehr schnell und gut erreichen.

It's a fountain and a clock, despite being one of the most iconic spots in Basseterre, it's nothing remarkable. Close to the port and easy to visit.

Learning more about St Kitts was a highlight of our trip. The cabby we met upon arrival took us to many places and explained the history and experience growing up there. (#GasMoney) good fishing trip, where I caught the biggest fish. (Speedy)

It is an iconic symbol of the island's colonial past. Situated on Fort Street a central roadway in Basseterre possibly separating into two notable sections. It also connects motorists on the bay-road (road passing along the seaside) to the island main road. Berkeley Memorial can be easily used as a reference point for visitors which can help them navigate the street of Basseterre. Interestingly the road facing east leads directly to Independence Square another site which clearly states that you are in Basseterre.

One of the most famous landmarks in stkitts. In this area you have a little of everything. Local banks, good food places, boutiques etc it's a tourist attraction. The people are friendly and always willing to help. Fun fact is walking Distance from the famous Port Zante where the cruise ships docks. Will recommend you visit and take pictures cause the scenery is beautiful

Its a very Informative and historic place to visit helps the tourist and people of the country of learn about the past of the small island. A great fact that it's in the heart of the town. So it's less hassle for u to access the building.

Beautiful place where many locals and tourits pass through. You can also see many iguanas that call there home. It does get messy during carnival time but thats just part of what happens and the govt tries its best to keep it clean after each event. Definitely worth a look for the sites and photos.

A well preserved illustration of colonial life in St Kitts. Very well situated at the base of perhaps the most popular street in St Kiss and Nevis
