Try Somewhere Else I have done dolphin swims before and the swim part would be on par with most all others I have done. My issue is with the photos and rude staff. This was the fifth dolphin swim I have done at five different locations. They all charge for the photos they take. This was the only one that would not allow you to take any photos at all on your own. For my family of four they charged $250 for photos. The most before I was charged was $85. They were a complete rip off. When selecting the photos they had one very rude lady that would "help" you., but you had to beg for her to help for more than 20 seconds. The entire staff in this area were very rude and acted like you were a bother. Pretty poor when you paid $250 just for photos. Definitely try this excursion at another port.

A Mexican owned operation, the habitat is developed right off ocean and the dolphins seems well cared for...except one dolphin who looked like his fins might have been overhandled by tourists and need time to heal. I feel for these mammals trained to entertain, push and pull humans, some of whom are way too large/heavy and should not be allowed to partake. Some trainers are better than others. There is a strong emphasis is selling you photos $45 for 1 or $170 for deck. They hound you to ensure you don't bring your cell phones. There are lockers and keys free of charge where you can store belongings, unisex restroom and changing room and of course a souvenir gift shop.

Absolutely life changing encounter with dolphins. Dolphins are well cared for. Instructors are phenomenal and really aware of making the experience great.

This was an awesome experience. The dolphins were beautiful and the trainers were so much fun. I cannot say enough about the experience itself. The only reason I gave it 4 stars of 5 was the cost. You are not allowed to take your own photos, cameras and cell phones are left in lockers. They took lots of fun photos of each part of the experience, but for all the photos for 2 people the cost was 170$. For families with multiple children it was unaffordable. To purchase just one photo was 45$. We booked this as an excursion on a cruise and there was not a warning about the cost. I would definitely do it again, and recommend it but I would advise you to be prepared for the cost.

My wife and I did this as a shore excursion from our cruise ship. The staff was very well organized and efficient. The dolphins seem happy and well cared for. If you have an opportunity, don't miss this opportunity.

It was one of the best experiences I have had on an excursion. The trainers were friendly and made you feel comfortable in the water with the dolphins.

There are two sides of this experience: 1) The negatives first...you pay the initial fee for the tour, however if you want photos of your experience only a staff takes photos and you will have to buy them at the end for more than 100$ or 40$ per photo in addition to your entry costs. The photo quality wasn't great...often cut us halfway out of frame. Also once you go inside to buy the photos the staff is pushy and rude. As said in previous reviews if you aren't going to swim or stand on the water ledge in the water with dolphins you won't even see any dolphins from the observer deck. Just know this in advance. Bringing your own cameras or phones is prohibited. 2) the actual dolphin time was very cool the trainer was excellent. You get to interact with the dolphins touch them. The swimming side got to have the dolphins push them around. Just be prepared to pay the initial around 100$ fee plus 130 for all photos or 40$ per individual photo (digital copies via smartphone app). So total cost for me and my son was around 330 with photos.

Very poor instructions for participants. Don't waste your money on ticket to be on pier to watch...you can't even see your travel mate playing with the dolphins. Their pictures are not that great, but they are the only ones you'll have of the visit.

We really enjoyed this excursion but the organization of the different groups in different pools was not the best. Some trainers gave zero information while others were marine biologists sharing their knowledge during the encounter. There was a lack of communication between the staff and participants and things felt very disorganized with how the staff placed people and organized the encounter activities. They don’t allow you to bring your own cameras and charge an exorbitant amount of money to purchase the photos they take. The dolphins seemed to really love the trainers so that’s a good thing. I would do this again but would pick a different package and hope to not be in the kind of group I was placed in.

Wonderful experience with the dolphins and trainers here. Lots of fun for the whole family! Bring your bathing suits and towels and some $ to purchase photos afterward.

Had a great time here, the kids really loved it, but us adults also enjoyed spending time getting to interact and swim with the dolphins. It’s a very legit operation, with professional, knowledgeable and friendly trainers and staff. I would highly recommend visiting this place and doing the swim. The only downside was how expensive it was to buy photos of the swim. You cannot take your own and they wanted to charge over $200 so that we could have pictures of our kids swimming.. that is a ridiculous amount and something half of that would be more reasonable.. but as our kids did so well and the pictures were high quality, we did end up buying them.. a word to the wise, everything is negotiable and I wouldn’t roll over and just pay it right away.. Other than that, we had a great time, and do highly recommend.

The people and experience was great with the dolphins. But they want you to buy there photo package. Which is totally outrageous price. Don't think that you can take your own pictures

Experience felt very rushed. Upon arrival, we got placed with a group that had already started like 15-20 min ago and we were ignored for another 30 min. When it was our turn, the experience felt very rushed and over in no time. Interacting with the dolphins was great however. Just felt too short for what we paid for (~$300) and the pictures were another $170. The family ahead of us paid $250 for their photos.

I enjoyed the dolphin encounter experience! Hector was a really good guide who educated us about the dolphins and he answers all the questions you have about them. Although, the photos are the most outrageous prices I have ever seen which was a total ripoff! 70 dollars per person, it wouldve been justified if there was a video included with the interaction as well. You cant bring your phone/gopro as they make sure you have to purchase the photos, even on the viewing.

My wife and I had a wonderful time! Gustavo was awesome in teaching us about the Atlantis Bottle Nose Dolphins and basics of training. Our dolphins were awesome. We got 170 digital pictures of the experience and Wanda was great in helping us download the pictures.

Had a great time at this place! Since I went during off-season / no cruises were at the island, there was nobody there but us and the workers! It was a blast to learn and feel the power of the dolphins, their tricks are awesome too! I recommend this place, just when cruises are there I would be aware of there being hundreds of people there.

This resort is all about the money. First they strip you of all your valuables and tell you to sign a waiver stating that they are not responsible for any lost or stolen goods. You can’t take your camera pass the lockers yet there are no signs or policies posted that says this. Photo start at $210 US dollars. After paying $100 per adult and $60 for kids it looks like the 30 mins. Of photos cost more than the admission price. Welcome to your trip this is all the photos you can take

This was an amazing experience. My husband and I did the Royal Package, although it’s a little pricey it is well worth it. To be able to interact with the dolphins like that was something I will never forget. The team were brilliant, very friendly and knowledgeable. I think the photos are a little expensive but otherwise 10/10.

Great dolphin trainers, nice photographer. Well briefed and lovely dolphins. Girl who works in the gift shop is very rude and needs customer service training. Just seemed she could not wait to get home and close up…bad attitude. I had a confirmation prepaid for 2.30 pm and she said it was 10 am numerous time when i was holding the confirmation. Laughable. Reluctantly opened it up having closed it before i got there ! Other than that it was great :)

Bela justificativa!

Absolutely phenomenal dolphin experience. We had to book directly as RC wouldn't let my child do the Royal Swim. THE BEST EXCURSION ON THE TRIP ! only neg was $320 for photos 📸 😔 Our Taxi driver Wally happened 2 be a local celeb, and he made our trip phenomenal.

Please let the dolphins free in the ocean, it is where they belong. They do not deserve being captive in a small pool like this.

Good Encounter experience. It was just my husband and I. It was educational and we could ask questions. Would love to go back next visit St.Kitts and swim with the dolphins as this was our very first time. My husband was born in St.Kitts and this made the whole experience more memorable. Would be nice to have somewhere to sit down eat and drink afterwards though. It's best to book online before going as it is easy. You have to pay in US dollars for everything, why? You should have a choice. Staff are helpful which was a bonus

Enjoyed with the excursions and felt guilty for the mammals. Only 2 stars because the Photos were very very expensive. $175 photo package for a 2 people and NON negotiable. The Excursion is already around $300 for me and my husband. They should make the photos less expensive / more affordable.

What an incredible experience we loved it from start to finish… would recommend to everyone! We had ample time in the water with the dolphins, the trainers were great, there was space to leave your belongings in lockers (free of charge), and also showers if needed too. We booked the photo package beforehand and this seemed the most sensible option as is not, you will be charged per photo and it works out crazy expensive… the package however was great value for money… we ended up with just under 100 photos between us for $55pp. The staff were also helpful and friendly at the centre and there is a little shop for souvenirs should you wish to purchase.

Tourist trap. They’ll upcharge you on every single dolphin interaction and then hit you with a photo package twice the amount of admission (after refusing to let you take your own pictures). Dolphins are enclosed in the tiniest space. It needs to be shut down

I was finally able to check a dolphin experience off my bucket list! So glad I was able to do it here in St. Kitts. The whole experience was magical. Our assigned trainer Bardo was incredible. He was so friendly and knowledgeable. We got to do so many tricks and games with our dolphins, Dante and Gaia. I can’t wait to come back and do this excursion again.

  • 3/5 Leslie N. 5 months ago on Google • 11 reviews
The dolphins and the trainers were amazing. My only complaint were the photographs and no water in the showers . We ended up not getting any pictures because they were very expensive $210-$310 and the staff wanted to charge $90 for 1 photo (no frame included). We already paid $460 to swim with the dolphins. This place is all about the money. Was very disappointed.

  • 5/5 Emily K. 1 year ago on Google • 11 reviews
Great dolphin experience! Lots of time in the water, friendly guides, and a wonderful overall experience. Watch out for the photo package, it is exorbitantly priced and since you can't bring a phone to take pics yourself then they know they've got you. The pics were great, just shockingly expensive.

  • 4/5 Melissa 11 months ago on Google • 11 reviews
Worth the money! We booked this as an excursion during our cruise. I felt our personal experience was professional, informational, and satisfyingly interactional. We learned so much about our 2 specific dolphins as well as dolphins in general. We spent a fair amount of time using their learned hand signals to interact with them and also got to touch and pet them numerous times. I was happy the provided lockers were free. Swim jackets are mandatory and provided in all sizes. Gift shop had very limited merchandise. I gave 4 instead of 5 stars because of the price of pictures. I understand not allowing us to use cameras. It would slow down their whole process, plus these places survive on our tourist dollars. But they charged ridiculously high prices for photos THEY take.

We are here right now. I get around in a manual wheelchair. They refuse to let me onto the dock. Eventually, they let me onto the dock under supervision to ensure I don’t take pictures of my wife. Cameras allowed on the observation stand. But can’t see all pools from the stand. They can do much better with disability policies here.

I liked swimming with the dolphins but the package was too expensive. JUST because I traveled with 3 people it doesn’t mean they should charge EXTRA for pics. Especially bcuz we paid big money for the excursion. But I digress I guess

We are currently on our honeymoon and anniversary trip and we really wanted to see the dolphins. From the beginning everyone was extremely friendly and welcoming. The trainer was very knowledgeable about the animals and could tell they really care about the dolphins. They made a great point to discuss conservation and their importance to their native friends in the world. If you aren’t sure about what to do during your time in St. Kitts, we highly recommend visiting dolphin discovery. Thank you all so much for making our trip so memorable!!

Absolutely fantastic experience from dolphins, to crew, to the ladies working in the Gift shop. Half as pricey as SeaWorld back home, and they have smaller groups, longer dolphin interactions, more pictures per price, and they redo the tricks if they don't get a good photo! The dolphins were happy and well cared for, and we're eager for interactions, bright eyed and understood the body language for the "tricks" and behaviors. The handlers knew them well and did well guiding them, and were super knowledgeable about their behaviors out in the wild. Lilo, a 27 year old dolphin, she was super energetic and healthy for her age, and had the cutest birthmark on her tail fin that looked like a rose tattoo! Sweet dolphins, great staff, and great photos! Highly recommend as an experience for all ocean and wildlife lovers.

Encounter and experience with the dolphins itself was great. As a former zookeeper and conservation educator I expected more educational stuff about dolphins with the experience. We arrived early for our experience (which we booked on our own during our week vacation on st kitts) and we then put with the earlier group which was a huge cruise ship group. I feel the larger group cheapened the experience for us and felt rushed. I did not like the pushiness of the photo packages at the end. The employees got really short with us and not very helpful when we told them we just wanted to buy only a couple photos. A few of them began to speak in Spanish and talk badly about us(which I can speak). I have had plenty of animal experiences as a zookeeper and my husband is a veterinarian who went to school here on the island, so this was mainly for my daughter and the only one we needed a couple pictures for. Ultimately the dolphins did not disappoint but the staff did.

Great trainers, dolphins looked after well, However the staff in the shop where rude and pushy, photos are extremely over priced and most where taken very poorly. Out of all of our 30 ish photos only 2 where any good, 40 USD for a digital copy of one photo is outrageous, they kept trying to push us to get the 180 dollar pp package deal even after we stated we only liked one photo each and only wanted one, I had to say 3 times that we only wanted the two photos before she stopped the hard sell.

Not be missed...you should do it right here!🥰🥰🥰. Kudos to the team!

Amazing experience for the entire family. The only major downfall is purchasing pictures of your experience...$40/picture or $210 for a family of 4. After spending $500 for the experience, you would expect/hope for a more reasonable picture package.

  • 5/5 Heather W. 2 years ago on Google
Really fun experience to interact with dolphins!! You can do the experience where you stand on a shallow platform and the dolphin kisses you and such, or you can do a little more expensive one where they pick you up and swim you! Loved it. They take your pictures, but be prepared to pay over $100 extra for them.

My experience with this place is beyond horrible. Operated by super unprofessional bunch of lazy workers. Who work on their schedule whenever they want not on the schedule they have on Google .Complete misleading I drove all the way from Nevis instead of enjoying the beach but I decided to have experience with dolphins . When I got there place was closed . I didn’t want to believe it .Than I found the people who run that place barbecuing in the back .They told me we closed at 3pm today . What a joke than change the hours on Google because it’s misleading. Don’t waste peoples time !!! I would stay away from this business. They also charge $45 for one pictures with dolphins what a ripoff. Scammers

Me and my husband came here during a stop on our honeymoon cruise. Our trainer guy was amazing, I do not remember his name. We also had two female dolphins named Iya and Illa (I think) one was younger and the other was older. We bought the biggest package they had and we were with two other families. At the end, a family of 4 asked if they could all take a photo with the dolphins together. The camera lady let them. I then asked if me and my husband could as well. She was very rude and told us no as they bought a different package than us. Which was not true as we were all in the same group and all did the same things. She told us to get out of the water. We did not feel like fighting her about it. We then go inside to see about the pricing of the photos. It was $170 for me and my husband which was outrageous as not all of the photos she took of us were on there. They were watching over our shoulder constantly. You also have to pay for your photos first before you can even see if they download onto your phone. Word if advise is to negotiate the cost with them, otherwise they will nickel and dime you. We got $60 off. We did take this review to our cruise line.
