Preisleistung top. Hab mit meiner Tochter ( 6 Jahre) 8 Euro bezahlt.

Interesting maritime museum Several ships you can go on board.. a tug, a whaling ship and a 1920s cargo and salvage boat that worked all over the world. There is a large steel sailing boat as well as U1 submarine from 1945. Inside there is a reconstruction of a medieval cog boat discovered in the estuary. Well presented and informative exhibition. €3 for the museum which includes entry to the ships outside. The submarine was €3. Plenty of parking nearby, restaurants and a big shopping centre close by that sells food. Great views of the estuary. Recommended

Absolut interessant!

If you are fan of ships and other stuff related to vehicles that keep you from drowning while crossing big blue parts of our planet, there is very good chance you will like it here. With only 4€ price per person it is a bargain, and amount of information you can find on ships, food, equipment and other sailor things is pretty good. Information is mostly translated to English so that is also huge plus for non German speakers. Some of exhibits are interactive, there are sound presentations, mini theater and plenty of interactive things for children to enjoy, even driving remote controlled ships on a giant pool. I have been in a better museums, but few of them offer this good value for money.

Fascinating place to be (and see), even whilst it's exhibitions are still in (re)construction. There is quite a bit to see and do there, plus the surroundings are also camera-ready beautiful.

Fun place to explore a few ships moored there. The museum houses a medieval Kogge merchant ship that has been restored. Definitely recommend a visit if in the area.

We went on a Saturday, when the Summer Fair was on in town. Entrance was free that day but donations gratefully accepted. It was very interesting and a lot of the information was in English and very informative so we could understand what it was about. Don't know how much it would normally cost.

(Translated by Google) The museum is not worth the name! For a "German Maritime Museum" I expect more. The focus is on researching the oceans with the Polarstern and the Geomar Institute in Kiel. Outside, a couple of beautiful ships can be seen and visited. Nice location for a nice walk between the ships. There is also a nice beach bar / restaurant and a little further a normal restaurant with a beautiful terrace, from where you have a good view of the museum harbor.

I really enjoyed my time here. There were good English translations, and it was only 3€ for students (6€ for adults). I learnt a lot about Bremen Cog's history and how its shipwreck and remnants were discovered. This is a great place to visit as a family, as there are interactive activities/games to learn about them. It would be better if they exhibit how maritime industry is doing in Bremerhaven: what they are currently doing, and how they have developed over time, not just on the Bremen Cog. Yet it's still amazing to see how they talk about restoration of ship that's been sunk underwater for so long. Great work!

(Translated by Google) We were there last year. Admission is cheap, but many areas in the museum and in the outdoor area were locked and not accessible. The Seute Deern had also recently capsized. Use of the toilet only inconvenient in the container outside - the key had to be fetched inside at the reception. Overall, we were very disappointed and can only recommend the museum to a limited extent. The exhibition mostly consists of ship models, most of them look quite the same for a non-ship-enthusiast. Many interactive exhibitions were disabled/broken. A couple of interesting cabin interior installations are somewhat noticeable. We've managed to enter it for free (Friday from 2 pm is free for everyone), so there's not much to complain about.

Some of it is closed for renovations (2019), hence only 4 stars, but we still had a satisfying visit. A virtual tour of a polar research vessel. And the Kogg (Cog) dating back to the Hanseatic League, which they dug out of the mud in the 1960s is really interesting. (Of you find old ships interesting). There are various ships and boats you can get aboard; a harbour tug, a U boat, etc. Well worth a visit.

(Translated by Google) The hall to the cog was quite well designed, albeit very one-sided. The ships in the outside area could be made much more interesting with explanatory signs. Unfortunately not. The current special exhibition on the research ship and climate change presented itself as the extended arm of "fridays for future". The written content of the banners was partially FSK 16 in their wording. I would have liked more about "shipping" from a German shipping museum.

(Translated by Google) I don't even remember how often I've been to this museum. And each time the house presented itself differently. The highlight is of course the cog. We experienced it with the Playmobil special exhibition. At first I didn't expect too much from it, but in retrospect I have to say ... Great job. And visitors of all ages get their money's worth. I missed the other exhibits. But that is currently due to the renovation of the house. I am curious what I will see there in the future ...
