Einfach gigantisch gut!. Hat extra Sterne verdient. Sehr viel Liebe zum Detail. Sehr viele Exponate, Kino Vorstellungen Prima. Topp gepflegt. Sehr freundliche Mitarbeiter.

100% Besuchsempfehlung!

The museum is amazing. If you’re a football fan (or a kid 😁), there is sooo much to see! There are also spaces where kids can play. So many interesting facts about the history of football and of German football. The fee is a bit high. I know that it includes everything, but maybe the fee could be lower just for visiting and people who want extra access to stuff could pay more. Anyway, it’s definitely worth a visit!

Super cool exhibits explaining the history of German football. I myself am not specifically a fan of the German national team but I really enjoyed the time I spent here. Cool artifacts and great descriptions, could spend about 3 hours here and it’s right across from the main train station so a great place to kill time before catching a train. Student discount is amazing, almost 50% off of the ticket price.

We spend 3 hours there and we didn’t cover all the stuff, amazing museum and a must visit if you are near Dortmund.. covers a history for a great country in football world .. with a 3D venue and a 360 degree show .. so special.. fair price. I recommend it

Only negative thing is the entrance price. We paid for two people 28 Euros. According to my opinion, it should be maximum 10 euros per person. At the end of the museum, I planned to rate with 3 stars but before than exit they though something too nice out. There are a mini futbol area and a big football area as well as other football games. All them can be played without any extra cost. So my point for this museum is 4 stars.

Although it's a bit expensive (can buy tickets online cheaper, no need to print off, scan barcode) it's a worthy museum. Has all the modern amenities. Quite a comprehensive museum detailing all of German football. Interactive exhibits available, perfect for families. Most of it is in English.

Holy smokes! Came to Dortmund for a Borussia game,...had no clue this museum was here until.we arrived. We had to stop in as a life long fan, player, coach, soccer business owner....this was a MUST see. I only had an hour but could easily have spent at least a half day here. Well done to the curators to make this great for fans of all ages! To make it full of interactive displays, historical artifacts and just make you relive the greatness... especially of 1970s ans 1990s German fußball!

This museum can be defined as the museum only for German people. No language except German and No contents except German national football team and Bundesliga teams. As a Korean, I don't want to spend 18Euro like this place. I wish this museum could be changed to the museum not only for German but also for the people all around the world who love football. Currently this museum name should be changed as "German football museum".

Well put together exhibition, with very interesting objects, facts, soccer hapennings etc. It included a wide variety of personalities of the field, not only the most known to the common people. The space was clean and I really enjoyed my time with my friends in the playing area too. It had games such as table soccer and an accuracy game that had to do with buttons. Also at the entrance it had a photo booth (I think free) which was really cool, even though I didn't manage to get one. The thing that I didn't like so much is that all of the presentation was in German. Thankfully one of my friends was translating to us some basic things. Also, the descriptions of the exhibits were in English, so that's good. So yeah, all in all it was a really nice and enjoying experience and a good suggestion for someone that comes to Dortmund for some months and wants to visit known places

Excellent place for anyone interested in football. There is a good mix of interactive media, reading about exhibits, items to see and stories to learn. Very captivating thematic parts of the museum from important matches in German football all the way to recent times (including also women squads), great job 👍 I personally really enjoyed the West vs East Germany section and part that football played during war times, but they definitely have also easier to digest areas and kid routes. You can spend between half a day to full day here depending on how thorough you want to be. Recommend buying tickets online as they are a bit cheaper than buying on-site.

Not sure why this has such a high review mark. This over priced and quite dull musume is not worth staying in Dortmund for. Got there nice and early and was left wondering where the rest of the musume was. Very limited hands on, very few things to be involved with. Over priced and the gift shop was sad as. The had one cool story on the massive football and there where some good videos to watch from a Germany perspective. Apart from that very unimpressed. The Bayen Munich musume is much better. The Brazil musume in Sao Paulo is head and shoulders over this one. Very avg

Viele Original-Exponate. Aufenthaltsdauer 2-3 Stunden.

Great museum, specially for those interested in the German National team. Nice memorabilia and texts also available in English. The 3D ride is just a joke, but not to the point of hurtimg the muse as a whole. Interesting stuff on the museum store.

I loved the football museum - particularly also the section on the old GDR and how doctrine linked to training. I was totally mesmerized and forgot time. I take the point they could have consulted fans more - e.g. relatively little on the current leagues, on European tournaments

Excellent museum next to the central train station in Dortmund. 19 euros ticket for an adult. Children, students etc. cheaper. Focussing on the international and domestic achievements of German football teams, this modern museum combines film and multimedia with traditional info boards (in German and English), and real mementos and original pieces behind glass. Fun items too such as Helmut Schön's cap and a tribute to Paul the Octopus (who was born at Sealife in my hometown of Weymouth, England). I am 61 years old, and I remember many of the German players and football triumphs, so for me it was worth visiting. I would recommend to any football fan who also enjoys history and museums. I was in the museum for 3 hours, but I wish I could have stayed longer, but I had to catch a train. There is plenty to see and do. There is also a film and tour.

Probably, the biggest football museum in Germany, nice to visit if you were in Dortmund or transit( very close of the train station ). You can discover history of the sport in the country through it’s history: world wars, division of country, the era after reunification. Interactive and comprehensive, it can takes few hours to carefully visit it. For me it deservs if you are a football fan.

Coming from New Zealand where football is not that big, this was a must do for me. And boy, was I blown away. Starting off with the team that won the World Cup in 1954 all the way to the present day. I really only know the German Football Team from 2008 onwards so it was very interesting to learn from previous generations. Favourite area was the ball which lights up with film through different world cups moments, goals, disappointments and so on. Was also very cool to see authentic memorabilia from specific shorts and boots worn during important matches, documents, diaries and so on. After that, you get to see all the trophies the nation has won through it's existence and then you end on a brief area of the history of the Bundesliga. 12/10. Would definitely go again and highly recommend to everyone, football fanatic or not.

Highly recommended for soccer loving adults. Everything has English version. For our 6 and 2 year old, the exhibitions are a little bit hard to relate. But they enjoyed the 3D film and my 6 year old even played soccer in the indoor field.

It's a very impressive football museum mainly focus on the 4 world cups that Germany has won. I'm not German and the taste how everything is presented and displayed is breathtaking. The only thing why I don't give a 5 stars is because of the lack of English subtitles or audio in all the museum. Even without that, very nice museum to visit if you love football.

  • 5/5 samrat g. 2 years ago on Google
Mind Boggling. a 7- star experience. Spend 3 hours and it still wasn't enough. There so much historical significance of this Sport And this was only the German part of it. Had to rush for the last 15 mins. But what an experience. This museum actually showcases why Football is a way of life. Being one of those who live football, this was so exciting, that I had to restrain myself from shouting ( in a good way) and jumping like a child. So detailed, so many artifacts, photos, and the historical videos were just so thrilling. and the 3-D show was just Wow. I could go on and on, but will let you guys enjoy the real spine chilling experience. Personally, I Couldn't get enough, but will definitely visit again. And recommend to not just a football fan, but anyone who understands the significance of what a museum should be that honours legacy and it's legends.

A museum worth its name, the football museum in Dortmund is full of history. Stories about the game of football and players can be found there. It is a place to visit with the family. I would recommend it to all football fans. The 3D video and 360 Bundesliga video were my highlights. Replicas of European trophies and world cup are on display

Nice step back in time with good contents and nice memories. You can follow the international team history and the national teams as well. I found it pricey though, 19euros seems a bit much when you just want to discover but you're not a maniac of football. All sounds or vudeos are recorded in German and the museum is translated in English only.

Too expensive museum with a little hostile staff! It costs €19 to enter and you can only go at least 1 hour before their closing time. The entrance fee is too high compared to all museums in Germany, most of which are free.

  • 5/5 Cathal D. 1 year ago on Google
As someone with no real interest in football, I found myself spending hours here. It was interesting all the way through and you get a real sense of the passion involved. There is a floor dedicated to the history of the German team, accomplishments and highlights over the years and another for the Bundesliga and some interactive pieces at the end. If I recall, all content was in German and English.

One of the best football museum I've been to from the outside it looks small but once you step in it's massive. Very detailed with the history and how everything started and the way they won the trophies, tickets were very cheap as well so definitely check it out and make sure you see everything properly and don't rush as it's beautiful

  • 5/5 Pratik G. 1 year ago on Google
The museum is a must visit place for all the football fans. It houses 4 FIFA World Cup trophies and 3 Euro Cup trophies that are won by Germany. It also showcases history, major events, key players stories and BTS facts that are not easily available on the internet. One can take audio guide in multiple languages and go through the museum to understand some explanations that are explicitly in German. It is highly recommended to buy the tickets online beforehand because the price of on-spot tickets is higher than the ones available online. Group discount tickets are also possible. If one wants to read and understand all the amazing facts seriously, then a time slot of 4 hours should be reserved. Completely worth it👏🏻

Das Deutsche Fussballmuseum is a fantastic place to learn and celebrate the German football history. Four world championships is evidence of the great football culture. But the museum also focuses on the outstanding German club history with memorabilia. The guided tour explains the details of the achievements and challenges opens the the eyes to the history of football achievements by men and women football. Great place to visit !

Similar approach to the football museum in Manchester with some traditional and some interactive elements to experience. Displays typically in Germans and English but the interactive stuff is mostly in German which might limit your involvement. Highlight is the impressive array of trophies ... unmatched in England sadly

After the 2006 FIFA World Cup in Germany, the German Football Association decided to finance the establishment of a national German soccer museum. In May 2007, the DFB Presidium shortlisted the cities of Cologne, Oberhausen, Gelsenkirchen and Dortmund from the 14 cities that had applied as a location for the football museum, locating museum in the most populous state of North Rhine-Westphalia. At a Bundestag of the DFB on 24 April 2009, the delegates decided on a location close to the city center south of Dortmund's Central Station, which had been previously used as a bus station. The area is part of an art and culture mile between the Dortmund U creative center and the Theater Dortmund concert hall

Really well presented museum in a good area of the city, and also with friendly members of staff. I went with a few mates on the Sunday we were there and it was a very good experience. Lots to see and read, with English available next to each part, which was very handy, as well as English speaking videos (as an alternative option). The staff spoke English too, and were very helpful and friendly throughout our time there. We didn't get the chance to have a kickabout, but there is a indoor pitch inside! Highly recommend if you're football mad and are in the city for the weekend/week.

Great experience and stunning stuff to see. Fantastic animations and a pretty cool 3D movie to watch. Staffing was very friendly and supportive. There was no wait at all during the week in December. Would highly recommend for true soccer fans especially 2014 mold cup is a big theme for this museum. Ticket prices are ok.
