For the museum itself —— It’s 10 mins walk from the main train station, super convenient! There’re a lot of food near by. All staffs are super friendly. Toilets are clean, the cafe is adorable. The museum has a lot of interesting thing! My favorite part will be the memorial shield… the design of Nuremberg’s memorial shield is so different from other parts of Europe. The museum building is also super cool, I took tons of photos on my Instagram.

I had very low expectations when I entered the museum, thinking it might be just boring and dull. But I was happy to admit I was wrong and was positively surprised. The museum exhibits so many great items and you don’t even need to try construct a narrative in order to enjoy them. Things couldn’t be better.

This is a magnificent place to slowly enjoy every single piece of historical items inside the museum. It is segregated into several sections, so you're likely to know where to go after each. I guessed I was so immersed that I might have taken more than 2 hours admiring the various "story". Take a quick rest at the garden and continue again. Everything was really an eye opener for an Asian like me and it takes me back to imagine how medieval life was. I like the pharmacy representation of the unicorn & also the "modern" instruments back then for medical procedures. Really worth the visit.

Collection of medieval art, arms and armor is splendid. This museum is "must see" place in Nuremberg. Visitors are allowed to take non-commercial photos without flash light and tripod.

This museum is so huge that almost lost in this labyrinth. It took me at least 3 hours to quickly glimpse through the whole exhibits. Really regretted not going a little earlier before it close. Just the building itself is magnificent. Do not miss out this one. IMPORTANT NOTE: there is another section of this museum about Toys in another building included in the ticket.

The most interesting museum in Nuremberg,for me. And the biggest. You can easily spend a half a day here,even more! There are a lot of things to see:weapons from Stone Age or from Middle Ages,paintings,including some signed by Albrecht Durrer,A lot of marvelous old watches, sundials, compasses, old surgical instruments, religious objects, old furniture and many more.

A great place with an impressive collection. I thought I could only spend two hours here. I absorbed art in this beautiful place for several hours with delight. It was a really beautiful experience. The museum building itself and its incorporation into medieval architecture are also impressive. Nice and professional English speaking service.

Beautiful, you can't go wrong for 8 Euro. Had the whole museum to myself. Security was so bored, they try to sneak up behind you.

I'd like to congratulate this museum for having an interesting descriptive text for most items and with English translation. It s one of those museums where you spend quite a while reading the items descriptions because they are so interesting! Highlight: having worlds oldest surviving World Globe from 1492

Amazing collection, definitely need to go there at least one more time. Besides the great collection, the monastery that was kind of "merged" with the museum is a great differentiation as you can also walk through some halls, corridors from the old monastery which has a beautiful architectural design

For most of my visit I was confused about how to get around, it's by far the most difficult to navigate museum I've ever visited. Upon asking the staff why closed areas aren't marked as being closed I got the response that they're probably re-opening them in a month and a half anyway, so they couldn't be bothered. In addition, there appears to be no effort whatsoever in presenting the exhibits in a modern and Innovative fashion.

I love this museum! It has a lovely footprint and you can spend a lovely day. The cafe is nice as well. All the staff is friendly and helpful.

You'll need at least 2 days to cover in-depth...there are plenty of English transcriptions, if you get the audio guide (3€) it gives further explanations but not really required. My favourite was the treasure trove of musical instuments! Museum staff were friendly and helpful.

This museum is huge. Use your plan to find the way and to choose what you really want to see, otherwise you might get lost in the middle ages. Lots of great pieces on display. Maybe the disadvantage of this museum is, that it is just to big and has a bit of chaotic set up. My favorite part of the museum was the area with 20th century art that has a good set up and collection.

Excellent museum, fantastic historical collections from all ages and for different interests. A couple of days needed to appreciate all with calm and comprehension. Just a few hours if you want to take a quick round of the principal attractions.

Loved it! So much to see but just enough in every subject/time period to keep it interesting. Some exhibits were closed but still plenty to fill our afternoon. Very creative how the museum wraps around and through the church and old abbey structures. The old world globes were the highlight for us! A must visit when in Nuremberg!

As a History A-Level Student I am a bit picky with museums but I loved the entire museum . They had an exhibition to about everything that I enjoy about history. Some exhibitions were sadly closed ( due to a staff shortage I believe) but it was so worth it. And if you're a student, you pay a smaller entry fee sooooo

I was so impressed to visit such a marvelous place. Museum overall look so beautiful, it’s noticed that people care about look of museum and exhibits.

My first to visit, and not enough time! Very rich and detailed facts about German history all the way from bc times going forward. I highly recommend, but definitely go on a Wednesday when it opens - you will spend the entire day getting a refresher. A very nice gentleman, Wirl, who has worked here for 40+ years has a lot of knowledge - find him and you will feel energized and refreshed to be a history nut!

So much to see! I love the museum! Rich history, and a lot of great art pieces! They even allow you to use the ticke for the entire day. You can go out if you feel need to have lunch then come back again. How lovely!

Quite loved it! Was much bigger than I had expected. Even four hours was barely enough. Though tbf, my inclination of trying to read every plaque didn't help. Was €5 for students I actually especially liked the 20th century section.

There is no chronological order and there are flaws in the flow. There are no directions and it's a pretty big place. It is quite difficult to navigate. Entrance is 8 euro, it's worth it for such a big place but getting inside gets harder with time.

One of the best museums I've been to yet. Budget at least a full day to get through *most* of it. This is an easy walk from the train station. There are lockers for €1 deposit on site. Also the Cafe here is really good and the gift shop has some great stuff.

Museum is massive. It took us over 4 hours to really absorb everything. The staff was great. Suggest the headphones that explain some items in greater detail than the plaques. Had a lovely lunch in the basement restaurant and a much needed glass of wine. Downside...the lighting could be improved in some areas..hard to read. Musical instrument room was amazing albeit too warm.

Everything was in German and English and it has a few rotating exhibitions as well as a number of set exhibitions. The museum itself was a monastery at one point and has since been added onto until it's the museum you can find today. Beautiful atmosphere and items. Many interesting facts and pieces can be found here!

A truly amazing museum for lovers of history and well worth spending time here. This museum contains the oldest preserved globe, as well as one of the four Golden Hats, and many other treasures besides. The exhibits go from the Stone Age, through the Bronze Age, Roman era, Wandering of the Peoples, the Middle Ages, Renaissance, Reformation, and into the early Modern Era. It is a very impressive place indeed.
