Trotzdem lohnt sich ein Besuch schon wegen der weitläufigen Außenanlagen und all dem Interessanten, was es hier zu entdecken gibt. Auch die aktuelle Sonderausstellung über Tauben, Pferde, Schweine und Bienen als vom Mensch domestizierten Tieren ist sehenswert. Sehr schön kann man hier draußen sitzen zu Kaffee und Kuchen und ein paar rustikalen Kleinigkeiten zu Essen.

Ein wahnsinnig schönes kleines Museum. Besonders jetzt in den Ferien wird ein toller Spiele-Bastelbereich für die Kinder angeboten. Von Steckenpferdrennen, Jonglierbällen basten, Dosenwerfen alles dabei. Aber auch außerhalb der Ferien gibt es auf dem Spielplatz und den "Bauplätzen" reichlich zu tun. Innen und auch außen gibt es überall Möglichkeiten Bauklötze, Miniziegel ect zu stapeln. Highlight ist natürlich die kleine Bahn mit der man eine kleine aber feine Runde auf dem Gelände fahren kann. Der Schaffner ist super nett und hat immer einen Scherz parat. Genauso toll war die nette Dame die den Kids beim Ziegel herstellen geholfen hat. Die Kinder durften barfuß durch den Lehm stampfen. Ein absolutes Highlight. Die Kinder waren begeistert. Das Personal war durchweg super freundlich. Im angrenzendem Café kann man tolle Torten, lippische Pickert oder strammen Max bestellen. Sehr lecker. Preise waren in Ordnung. Kaltgetränke wie Apfelschorle fand ich persönlich etwas hoch angesetzt. Aber das ist jammern auf hohem Niveau. Das Museum braucht definitiv mehr Beachtung.
