We came at 15:30 and we saw the sign saying that the cash-desk closes at 16 - so we stand in the line waiting for our turn. After about 2 min. some older lady came and headed straight to us. She said sth I couldn't understand so I asked her if se speaks English. She raised her hands and started to shout: "No! Close! No!". Basically we understood we are not allowed inside. I don't know why. All the others were let in. Maybe there were too many people inside? I have no idea since noone explained anything to us. It looked very, very rude. I work in tourism and it's weird to me that the museum employee shouts at tourists and doesn't even speak English.

Great place for children and grown ups! The best part is in the basement. First you go through the ground floor, then 2nd, 3rd, and from there to the aquarium part downstairs. Plan your time such that you have sufficient time for the last part! Also bring some snacks, e.g., sandwiches and drinks. You cannot buy any food here.

Great museum. Lot‘s of opportunities to learn. A must in Stralsund. PS: Awe-inspiring first time visit - even with limitations in a pandemic.

The entire museum is in an old church. This probably the best use of a church that I have ever seen. There are a large amount of exhibits and just when you think it's over they have an impressive exibit of aquariums in the basement. I suggest this highly the price is extremely reasonable for the amount of things to see.

Great place to visit with kids, there are a couple of learn/play area within the museum to keep kids occupied along the route. Our 3YO learnt about Sea Creatures and Sea transportation 👍🏻

This place is AWESOME. Hidden gem, way better than the Ozeaneum. Set in a historic church that’s been partially restored and preserved to house really interesting exhibits. My favorite was the turtle exhibit where you can see small turtles without a glass between you and the little ones! Beautiful place to visit and so fun! Highly recommend to those traveling to Stralsund!

A really cool museum with the history of the local fisheries and sealife.

It’s ok, but not much worth for the money. Highlight are the turtles and the aquarium. For extra things (audio guide, allowed to make photos) have to pay extra

Extremely good value. It's a combination of an aquarium and a fishing museum in the DDR time. Takes about 2 hours to get around. Some exhibit descriptions are in English

👍👍 The Devin peninsula offers a beautiful circular walk of almost 4 kilometers. At the beginning and at the end there is the parking lot. Here you can relax in peace and enjoy the silence of nature. The trail is very well signposted and you just have to follow the signs. On the beaches you get a beaut...
