Nice museum to re-live the impressions of Liebermann's world. Not too much to be seen inside the museum, but certainly worth a visit to experience the Wannsee atmosphere. The garden feels almost Russian with all the lovely birch trees. People sitting on the grass or on benches, looking out to sail boats. Very impressionistic :-)

A nice house and gardens, even in the Spring and during the pandemic. Pleasant service at the takeaway cafe, too.

Villa in reality is not so good looking like in Internet. I would even say it is ugly and there are no nice Libermann paintings inside. Display in too small white rooms reminds me old hospital. Libermann paintings in Old National Gallery are really great and I was disappointed that in his Villa there are no highlights only some tiny puny pictures. Garden from street side is very low maintenance, 3/4 of plants just died but from Lake side looks very nice with juicy grass white chairs and small tarasse and for that nice atmosphere with few trees and rose garden, blue clean water and sailboats I give it 4 stars because I spend there lazy 2h on bank with my mom and it was great :)

Very peaceful place by the lake, gardens are really nice. Some iconic artworks are displayed with original mails from Liebermann and a great deal of explanation. Audioguide is on the phone so bring your headset. There is a cafe to buy drinks and enjoy them on the terraza or in the garden, be careful to visit the house itself when it's not too crowded. It's worth the one hour trip from Berlin.

I really like the pictures of Liebermann and the exhibition was very interesting. However, I would not say that the place is quiet and peaceful, as I read in other reviews. I was there on a weekday in July and the garden, the museum as well as terrace were full of people. Still the place itself is beautiful indeed.

I visited this beautiful Villa with a German friend and found the building and recreated gardens very attractive. There was an aura of sadness about the house ,knowing that it was built for the artist to enjoy with his family and tragically taken from them in the 30s by the regime. The tray takeout service is friendly and your meal can be enjoyed either inside or out on the terrace overlooking the Wannsee. The Liebermann designed garden is faithfully brought back as it was during his lifetime.

I love every square inch of this place. Beautiful paintings in the exhibition, amazing garden, cafe, and of course the shop with stylish souvenirs, interesting books AND kind and helpful staff. Unfortunately, there was only one book in English but I guess maybe not many foreign tourists visit the place. I will definitely be back!

Nice museum, the garden is really nice and the story behind the house is interesting. But for a one room exhibition it's overpriced.

We enjoyed the ultimate luxury and privilege, to visit the "Liebermann Villa" on a nice January day, literally having the place - garden and villa - for ourselves for the longest part of a 2-hour visit!

Aside from the art of Max Liebermanb, the garden and surrounding are stunning. Highly recommended. Unpleasant attitude from most of the guards, hence the 4 star rating.

The existence of this place in its present form is a victory. We left feeling that the souls of the family had returned to their rightful place after years of horrendous prosecution and later just neglect. It is a wonderful place, calm, serene, inspiring, thought provoking and in the end uplifting.

Amazing experience. A beautiful villa that is both well preserved and deeply moving. The story of a German-Jewish artist who lost everything when the Nazis took power. Several pieces of art, lots of history and breathtakingly zen garden overlooking the Wannsee make the Lieberman Villa a real highlight.

Very interesting, lovely garden and cafe with views of the lake. Small art collection with a focus on provenance research of the Liebermann collection from 1933 to present times.

We did not know what to expect from this house and garden and discovered it to be a most enchanting place. The art gallery is very interesting, especially as we knew very little about Liebermann's work. The gardens are lovely. You can sit down by the lake and enjoy the scenery. The cafe also has very tasty food (try the quiche) and very friendly staff. All in all we were extremely pleased we had decided to visit.

I liked it very much. The structure and the architecture took me to the Sherlock Holmes stories. Mesmerising for me.

in summer, the garden here seems as a painted picture as well as some of the pictures in the house seem fairy - tale - like. kind of dreamlike atmosphere. you can feel that everything is filled up here with the energy of a private group. the awesome place doesn't get any other financial support. It's a worldwide very unique place which also has a history that should never be forget. As it has the House of the Wannnseekonferenz which is only 2 busstations (bus 114) away from Liebermann Villa. Liebermann Villa is also to reach by this bus (#114) from S bahn Wannsee. Don't forget to visit when you are in Berlin. If you have time and want to enjoy a 'green' beautiful bus ride: take bus 218 from Theodor - Heuss-Platz or ICC/Messe Nord to Wannsee. This bus goes also to famous Pfaueninsel. Another outstanding Berlin outskirt spot, you won't forget. Whole Wannsee area is unique. Don't miss!!!

Beautiful, fascinating, art-filled smallish villa overlooking Wansee. Gorgeous gardens, nice cafe. I re-discovered Liebermann's brilliant paintings on this visit, but also learned about how the Nazis did their best to destroy the spirit of one of Berlins most respected citizens.

very nice (but a bit small) museum with works of the impressionist painter Lieberman. It is situated an great location by the lake with a great garden (in the spring the place must be very nice) a bit outside of berlin but easy to visit. After the visit we took a walk on the nearby forest. A nice place to visit (sometimes hosts temporary exhibitions. But there was not one when visited) no photos allowed :(

Overall a good experience. The gardens are very well kept. The lady at the front desk kindly lent me a coin for the lockers (these are mandatory). However, once inside, I was immediately sent back to the lockers by the museum guard: “keine Jacke”. I get that they don’t want you to wear or carry a bulky winter coat near the paintings, but I was just wearing a silk sweater with a zipper. Feels a bit silly that anything deemed ‘jacket’ by the guard has to be taken off, even though it was chilly inside.
