If you like horses the best place to stay. If you are there for a rest you definitely can. In for a nice chat with the owner, you can. A very pleasant place to stay, also after a long day cycling.

Warning: Do not go in with your kids if you do not have a whole day 🙈 Insane number of exibits related to road, water and air transport. Extensive descriptions, movies, experiments to enjoy for all ages. For kids there are additional busy boards or games to keep them occupied. There is also a big pit with LEGO to design your own house. At the top floor there is a model train that runs a few times a day (there is a reminder on screens when the show begins). On the same floor there is a huge traffic-themed playground with a lot of ride-on vehicles. Only two downsides are: lack of dediacted parking (but there is a public one not very far) and only one bathroom on the ground floor (not very convenient while the kids designated area is on the top floor and the distance is really far). But all in all a wonderful experience, will definitely come back.

(Translated by Google) Simply gorgeous. The bicycles surprised me. It is a pity that the railway transport hall is closed until July 20. This is the only museum in Dresden that is truly unique. Even in Munich, Stuttgart museums there is no such spirit of history as in this one. Come on in, you won't regret it))) old cars that you can touch, motorcycles. Coach. On the second floor there are boats, boats. The third is a model of the railway. A separate room is dedicated to aviation. Airplanes of the early 20th century are displayed in this hall, there is even a sectional turboprop engine. All this is well-groomed and lovingly maintained. I recommend visiting this museum with children.

(Translated by Google) Hello at the moment the museum is closed I had seen a few pictures on the net wanted to find out more about the history of the road, it is interesting for me because my husband, his grandpa, was the director of the tram before 1945, if something is available I would be very happy Sincerely, Sabine Kaiser (Original) Hallöchen zur Zeit ist das Museum geschlossen hatte mir ein paar Aufnahmen im netzt angesehen wollte gern mehr über strassen Bahn Geschichte erfahren es ist interessant für mich weil mein Mann sein Opa vor 1945 der Direktor der Straßenbahn war wenn da etwas vorhanden ist würde ich mich sehr freuen mit freundlichen Grüßen Sabine Kaiser

(Translated by Google) Very nice museum. There is a lot for children to try out and discover. Even the older "children" will be enthusiastic about many a find. There are plenty of lockers and there is also a small cafeteria in the museum.

(Translated by Google) It's perfectly alright. Too crowded on a rainy day. Unfortunately, some things were in the process of being renovated or some things didn't work for the day. You could have gone down with the expensive price if renovations were going on. Otherwise very informative (Original) Ganz ok. Ansonsten sehr informativ

I walked there last night for 45 minutes to take a picture for my friend from Ireland, and despite the fact that I was born in Dresden and have lived here all my life, I have never seen this monument like this evening. This is one of the best museums we've been to. It has a perfect combination of text, video, audio and interaction, so the kids (as well as the adults) will love it. We've spent hours inside, so make sure to reserve enough of you time in order to enjoy all the that it offers.

Lovely place, especially for kids and youngsters. But adults can spend some value time enjoying ups and downs of history of European technic. Models and original objects: cars, bikes, locomotives... Too litle interactive exercises though.

Totally worth it 👌 As a road traffic engineer student I was curious to checkout. I really liked the various things to see from railways to air transport. Beautiful collection of more than 150 years of history. They have properly mentioned info with English & German. They also have explanation via audio feature.

I recently visited this Museum as I am a fan of transportation, especially for trains. The museum was beautiful, state-of-the-art, clean and a portal to the history of vehicles! My favourite part was the Model railway room! Loved the refurbishment of the red Fiat! I'd gladly visit it again.

Lots of fun. The ride on cars track bike lay area upstairs was a huge hit. Also the physics area.

  • 4/5 Greg C. 3 years ago on Google
Good collection of old cars, boats, trains and plane parts here. Shame the physics section isn't working properly. They are meant to fix it soon but when that is... who knows. The kids area on the 3rd floor is also great for children to run wild on a rainy day.

The displays that we saw were really good,...a good selection of cars and bikes. The reason for the three stars is that half the museum was closed to the public on the day I went but they still charged full price for entry.

I didn't expected too much TBH. But this museum really surprised me. Lot of cars, some trains, models. I liked the focus on East Germany which made it interesting and different from other transportation museums in Germany.

(Translated by Google) Since it was a completely rainy day, we spontaneously visited the museum. Unfortunately, the railway area was still being rebuilt and closed, as were all active stations due to Corona. Still, to ask for the full price, I found a bit absurd. As a child I would have been very bored. The model railway above only runs once a day !? I have to see, I found what I saw was only moderately exciting, everything could be worked out a little better. (Positive counterexample in London) If you are interested, you can certainly spend more time there. Great old vehicles are on display in the first hall. We were through with everything after about an hour.

The Golden Rider is an equestrian statue of the Saxon Elector and Polish King Augustus the Strong. Probably the major landmark of Dresden judging the number of people wanting a photograph with it. As the name suggests, the sculpture is painted in gold colour and shines in malthusian brightness corresponding to the sun. Actually it looks pretty good at night too. Worth taking a look, it’s fine Baroque sculpture.

Super! Interesting for children and adults! Many items, for the small space. I did not expect a lot, but was surprised. 1 hour totally not enough, would be better to have at least 2 hours to see everything.

My visit here was very memorable. The Museum is quite big and there's a lot of stuff available to see here. There are old Bikes, Cycles, Cars, Planes, Trains and also boats here. A very nice place to visit indeed.

Truly a lot to learn, ponder and experience. Wide exhibitions focusing one by one on air-, road-, water- and railtransport and its history. The large, detailed diorama upstairs was fascinatingly vivid, along with a wide variety of train miniatures. The filmed actors depicting historical figures brought history alive in the train section. Full price entrance was 11€ and the museum offered learning opportunities and cool sights for every cent. Every piece of information had translations into fluent English, which made the museum as accessible for an English-speaking tourist as for any German.

A very interesting and compact museum. The collections are very comprehensive, starting from land vehicle, railway, ships, and aircraft. You can find a flight simulator, and some facilites to that can demonstrate basic phenomena in aircraft technology. There is a room dedicated for charging, rest, and buy some snacks/drinks. This museum is excellent.

Very interesting, there are separate halls for each type of transport, a lot of interactive, especially in the air transport hall. There are also separate activities for children.

Really cool and well-rounded exhibits. The English translation is impeccable as well. I enjoyed the audio insights at life in the past DDR (also available in English). All vehicles are in great conservation state. Takes about 2 to 3 hours (unfortunately the model train area was not available for visitation).

This is an amazing place for young & old, with a model train line & traffic-themed play area. No restaurant here, but there is a small pit stop area with vending machines.

Superb place to go with kids. A lot of beautiful models of ships, trains and also real stuff like cars and train cars. In every room there is something you can try out with your hands on. Great place to learn by experience. Highly recommended.

Great museum. We visited this museum with 2-years old daughter and even she was liked it. There are many places for children to touch, play with. I would only like to have there cafe place, not just a vending machine.

Really nice museum, kid friendly, with some genuine historic exhibits, interesting even for those who don't speak either English or Deutsch. Well worth 2-3 hours visit.

The collections are varied and the displays are very interesting, my favorite is the train area, while my husband's favorite is the plane area (because he studied that) and my son's favorite is the whole area 😄.

It was tbe best €11 ever spent. Family friendly as there is much things to do and learn by playing. If you want to learn and read many of the things display at the museum, you will need 2-3 hours. Ask about the time the mini trains exibition runs.
