Such
a
great
museum,
basically
free
of
charge
although
it
did
cost
me
€1
to
enter
the
plane,
absolute
peanuts
for
a
massive
aircraft
enthusiast,
though.
Keep
in
mind
that
guests
can
only
enter
the
plane
at
13:00
or
16:00.
The
cockpit
is
blocked
off,
which
is
a
shame
as
I
(and
probably
many
others)
was
looking
forward
to
sitting
within
it.
One
of
the
security
guards
(Joachim
I
believe
was
his
name)
is
a
friendly,
kind
and
amazing
person.
He
couldn’t
speak
English,
and
I
cannot
speak
German,
but
we
somehow
found
a
way
to
communicate
and
connect.
He
kindly
went
out
of
his
way
to
take
photos
for
me,
of
me,
also
to
change
the
language
on
one
of
the
screens
from
German
to
English
so
that
I
could
understand
it
too.
He
also
put
on
his
suit
jacket
and
stood
at
the
podium
so
that
I
could
take
a
better
photo
of
the
area
which
was
quite
funny!
Something
I
found
fairly
interesting
was
the
piece
on
the
two
Korea’s
and
the
conflict
that
has
persisted
ever
since
between
the
nations.
There
are
some
fascinating
photos,
text
and
footage
from
both
sides
of
the
DMZ
depicting
the
struggle
of
the
people.
The
museum
itself
is
located
quite
far
from
the
centre
of
Berlin
but
is
well
worth
the
trip
for
anyone
even
remotely
interested
in
aspects
such
as
the
Berlin
Air
Lift,
military
history,
and
the
Cold
War.
There
is
a
café
located
in
the
second
building
selling
refreshments,
and
there
are
some
items
on
sale
also.
These
include
books,
maps,
post
cards,
pens
etc.
I
think
I
spent
around
5
hours
at
the
museum,
but
that’s
because
I
took
my
time.
I
had
noticed
that
the
museum
gradually
became
busier
throughout
the
afternoon
also.
If
you
are
in
a
hurry,
you
can
see
everything
within
2
hours.
Enjoy!
