the museum is located right next to the gorgeous castle Nymphenburg with an admission fee of around €7 for adults and free for children. you can easily spend two or three hours browsing through the exhibitions about the evolution of the earth and mankind, our universe, the human body and the animal kingdom. the current special exhibition "Alle Zeit Der Welt" featuring the German astrophysicist Harald Lesch is included in the admission fee. unfortunately, most of the display items at the museum are from the late 90s to early 2000s and haven't been updated since, marking large amounts of the exhibitions rather outdated and unappealing. furthermore, the entire museum is only in German. laminated paper signs with English translations have been added in very few places, but 95% are only in German, including the new exhibition, which is honestly a shame for all international visitors. it's a great place for children and adults alike to educate themselves and spend an afternoon, but the old displays and the lack of translation was rather disappointing.

It is a great museum but unfortunately everything is in German! There should be a consideration putting also the text in English. The exhibits are so good and informative and it is sad not to be understood from a bigger group of non German speaking people.

Great museum, very interesting for kids only there is not a single word in English! We were given a map in English but everything else, including all interactive activities in German only. Still a nice visit though.

Very Nice museum, where kids and adults alike will learn a lot and have a good time. If the weather is nice, it’s possible to conclude the visit with a walk in the nice park of Schloss Nymphemburg

If you have family with children, it is a great place to bring them to this Museum. This museum traces how our planet and life comes into existence. Many interactive exhibits that will entertain the children. You can easily spend 2-3 hours here. Sunday admissions are only EUR1.

Great Museum but this much water costs 2,80€😅

Good museum for kids interested in science, and worth the 3.5 euro admission. Could use the fossils displayed at other Munich museums and primitive man exhibit completely omits our Neanderthal cousins that lived in Germany 50,000 years ago. Good introduction to Geology, Neuroscience, Anthropology and Biology for 8-14 year olds. Stuttgart's natural history museum is unrivaled in Paleontology for kids.

Very cool place for comming with kids. A lot of interactive stuff.. Perfect exposition with descriptions. Very good mineral collection. Even for my "all the time annoyed tinager" that was interesting.

Great museum with many things to see , quizzes, games etc but unfortunately only 5% of the info was in English everything else was in German. Interesting museum but only for German-speaking...

Nice exposition about the wildlife photographer of the year. It was also fun for me and my girlfriend (in our 30s) to do the interactive quizzes about nature topics in the museum. We only left because they were closing. Can recommend for all ages!

It was jammed the day we went. Tickets were only a Euro for adults. Some exhibitions are dated, but my son and the rest of the family didn't mind and had a great time. Lovely cafe on site too.

I visited this place with my kids 5 and 4 years old, and we loved. It’s small but a perfect size to keep the attention of little ones. The sad part it was everything in German, so they couldn’t interact with everything that had. We went on a Sunday, and we paid just one euro for each adult and the kids were free. Also the parking was free on the streets. There’s a cafe there with decent food, but also has many picnic tables in case of bringing your own food. Around the museum is also very lovely.

Museum is located in a very nice location, Nymphenburger Palace is a great place to visit with family. Entrance fee and content of the museum is interesting and very educational. Small kids are really enjoying those animals and gadgets. Assets and premises looks a little bit aged, made me feel like a flashback to 90s. This is not a criticism since everything functions very well but just the feeling. As mentioned couple of times, everything is in German Language but understandable.

Really nice small museum. Great for older kids, lots of interactive exhibits. Also the grounds of the residence are very nice to walk through would recommend.

You can spend 2-3 hours with your kids here and they will be delighted ! Highly recommanded on rainy days in Munich 😊. 1 Euro/Adult on Sundays. As other have said, it lacks the English translations.

Pros: Family friendly, entertaining musem, with intersting topics about nature. Sunday admission is 1 euro. A visit takes about 1,5-2 hours. Cons: Only German language is available. Noisy museum.

Nice museum for kids and adults, learn about evolution, animals and minerals. Low cost, 1 euro on Sundays

It would be a great museum if it weren't for rude parents bringing very loud children. Fair enough to bring kids to a museum but when they are crying and screaming take them outside.

Really well done museum. A little old but interactive. Since Deutsche museum got really boring and expensive, it is a good place to with kids. The only minus is that you can only pay by cash. It's 2022 München!!

Didn't know what to expect but was happily surprised. Especially liked the expositions on human biology and crystals. There's also a fun exposition on animals on the top floor. Highly recommend visiting with children. Nice to combine with a walk through the park of sloss nymphenburg.

The museum was fine, small and full of families and their little kids, I went there because I was curious and wanted to enjoy. It's good for children since they can learn from it with the parents.
