Good food, inattentive service (unacceptable for a star restaurant), nice ambience, okey wine. We were there for dinner. It was very nice that you were greeted at the door and taken straight to the table. The food and the greetings from the kitchen were very good. After we finished a bottle of water, we weren't asked once if we wanted another bottle. The water wasn't automatically refilled; we were allowed to do that ourselves. Normally I'm used to being asked before every course whether we want another wine or an alternative. That wasn't the case, we had to call the waiter every time. The wines were average, not drinkable according to the sommelier's recommendation. The service was polite, but not attentive or professional. Price performance good. This was probably because no drinks were offered. A pity. I was happy to have a good, vegetarian “go-to” restaurant. Unfortunately, they were not convincing. In a star restaurant it is not enough that the food tastes good. Everything has to be right.

The food is consistently good to very good and excellently prepared. The wine accompaniment is excellent and is presented in an appealing and friendly manner. The schnapps are rather average. The employees are partly polite, partly very exuberant and humorous (which I find very pleasant). When it comes to seating, I strongly recommend that you make a reservation and have a bench seat at the side. The remaining tables are sometimes very exposed. The temperature is above average, causing guests and employees to sweat constantly. The toilets are superbly maintained and of the highest standard. For two people you can expect around €400-500.

Admittedly, I haven't really been to restaurants of this class very often, but I was very positively surprised with this visit! Especially because the cooking here is purely vegetarian and I have been a vegetarian for over 25 years. In my opinion, the staff were professional, friendly and courteous from start to finish and made you feel very comfortable with their natural and sometimes relaxed manner. My companion and I decided on the six-course menu. In addition to the appropriate wine accompaniment. When the greeting arrived from the kitchen, I was visually blown away. It contained, among other things, ginger straw and corn, but unfortunately I can't remember the rest of the ingredients. When I tried the first spoonful, I knew immediately that the visit would be worth it. Because I immediately had an intense taste in my mouth that filled my mouth, which was just wonderful. This portion and the subsequent dishes were certainly not lavish in the true sense, but they were rich and extremely varied in taste. In addition, as already mentioned, very intense perception in the entire mouth and throat area, simply wonderful! I liked the dish with the artichoke and the plum best. And the only tiny point of criticism I could say is that the pumpkin sauce was too smoky for me, but that's just my personal feeling. Before each course from the ordered menu, the sommelier came to the table and briefly introduced and served the wine she had chosen to accompany the dish. And I have to say, I really enjoyed these too. In general, it can be noted that this restaurant places great value on organic quality and sustainability. Finally, I have to admit that I was completely impressed by the stay and the food at TIAN and I will definitely come back in the hopefully near future!

Eventually we made it to TIAN, one of only a few one star fully vegetarian restaurant. And it was wonderful. Such creative dishes with high quality and mostly regional ingredients combined to mouth watering meals. We went there on a Saturday for lunch and also enjoyed the wine pairing which is perfectly matched each course. The staff was super welcoming and provided a ton of information to each meal. They were also able to answer all our questions :) thanks a lot for having us.

Well executed vegetarian fare (i.e. good but nothing exceptionally creative) but priced steeply for what you get. 160€ for a 6 course lunch menu will get you a place at a 2 star restaurant at many other cities, but I guess that’s just Munich for you; an overpriced culinary scene.

Each of our 6 courses was a small work of art in terms of appearance and taste, which also applies to the greetings from the kitchen. Bread from Julius Brantner is served with it - some of the best bread I have ever eaten. The white wine from the Rheingau was also great. Also worth mentioning is the friendly, attentive, but never intrusive service. We spent a great evening here. If I could give more stars, I would! :-)

Absolutely mind blowing! 🤩 We decided to try this all vegetarian restaurant for lunch. Only when we arrived to the door we realized it has one Micheln star. But since we were visiting Munich we decided to just go for it . We went for the whole menu and it surpassed all our expectations. The service as expected from such a place was flawless yet very friendly and effortless. And of course, the food! Wow… Every dish was better than the one before. We haven’t experienced such an innovative and creative use of ingredients in a very long time. Will definitely satisfy none vegetarian as well. We can’t wait to be back and try your following season menu.

The best vegetarian restaurant I have been to so far with incredible service and wine / self made juice recommendations! If you are in Munich and want to try something else than Bavarian dishes make sure to book a table at Tian! Local/regional and seasonal products only in some crazy good arrangements and pairings make it an awesome experience to dine here. We chose the lunch menu and got a table at the window front overlooking Viktualienmarkt which gives the whole experience another nice twist as you are eating slowly inside and indulge in these amazing courses whilst at the same time the buzz of the market outside keeps you entertained besides the tasty food!

We had a wonderful evening and are just lucky to be able to afford a restaurant in this price range. Hopefully there will be a new one next year as it unfortunately closes in December 2022 due to the end of the lease.

Nice service, but the courses weren't quite matched to the drinks and the menu was also rather bland.

...I would like you to open a new shop in Munich very soon. The fact that you're leaving soon makes this year even harder to bear.

Vegetarian star restaurant with friendly service. The special thing about the dishes was to show what interesting and intense flavors you can get out of simple regional ingredients. This deserves a 5 star rating. 1 point deducted because the red wine is only served fridge-cold (without prior information) and the wine accompaniment for the dessert was a Lambrusco of moderate taste...

Vegetarian haute cuisine, presented in an enjoyable and and not overly exclusive way. Friendly and quite young staff. Perfect selection of vine!

The chestnut foam was phenomenal and the dessert with ice cream and madelaines was also brilliant. Two dishes that expanded my food horizons and are definitely worth the menu. The remaining 4 courses are hidden behind it and are rather nice accompaniments to the 2 great dishes.

A vegetarian gourmet restaurant!!! I was so excited to have found it. However, I left the restaurant slightly disappointed. The good: + atmosphere is very nice, elegant but with earthy tones - lovely grand chandelier contrasting with wooden table decoration. + service is ok + all vegetarian menu The bad: I would say that although some dishes were good with interesting combinations. However, the balance of flavours and textures is not always present in every dish. Some vegetables are served neither crunchy nor soft but a kind of limp and rubbery. Overall there were some interesting ingredients (e.g. stinging nettle) but I was surprised that the choice of ingredients was not more creative - it was almost on the boring side. Sadly, the dessert also was not really at the level that I expect at this price and setting. They went for a classic chocolate and raspberry combination for main flours, pecan nut and randomly, wheat grass for decorations. Classics can still be done well but again the flavours were not balanced. Chocolate was just sweet and not delicate, the raspberry sorbet could have been fresher.

One of the best culinary experiences I have ever had. Lovely service, delicious and creative food, outstanding wine pairing and overall a very enjoyable evening! Totally recommended if you enjoy gastronomy and especially if you value the fact that it is plant-based at its core.

An absolute taste experience! This was our first time at Tian Munich. We were warmly welcomed at the entrance, taken off our coats and escorted to the table. The service was very attentive, courteous and not intrusive throughout the evening. You could tell that they enjoyed their work. The needs of my pregnant wife were taken into account and I specifically asked if she could eat everything. This was the case and it was even explained why we didn't have to worry. There were so many flavors addressed in the 6 courses. So many variations presented. You don't miss any meat or fish. You even forget it. Even though the portions look small, they were able to wheel us home at the end. Each dish was beautifully presented and explained. Even the chefs came out in person. The sweet greeting from the kitchen was amazing. A pure explosion in your mouth! Sweet, crunchy, sour. Just wow! The sommelier also had fun presenting me with different wines, all of which I thought were great. Suitable for food. All in all, time has flown by. We had so much fun and enjoyed it. You could forget about everyday life and just enjoy it. We definitely recommend you and thank you for this unforgettable evening. I was very happy to give the tip at the end. Best regards Mecklenburg family

A top-class gustatory and sensory experience that is completely vegan, paired with fermented, alcohol-free elixirs. I was absolutely impressed by the complexity of the different courses. The team impressed with a personal and very competent attitude that, free from elitism, made it easier to focus on enjoyment. Really amazing!

Finally made it to Tian - a must go for a vegan gourmet. Exceptional food with unconventional yet masterful wine pairings. The food is prepared to perfection keeping the original flavour of its key ingredients. Had wished for some more minutes between courses though.
