We were having a little celebration, hence a bottle of Prosecco was ordered, which was rather delicious. Our main courses included the breakfast, cheeseburger and a Buddha bowl, all of which were freshly prepared and joyous taste sensations. We pushed on through to dessert, it’s tough to say whether the strawberry or biscoff cheesecakes were better, let’s call it a tie. Did I mention that everything is Vegan? No? That’s because you won’t notice! I

The BEST vegan restaurant ever! Gutted we didn't discovered it as soon we arrived in Wales. The staff is so friendly, welcoming and professional; the atmosphere is relaxing and amazing. The dishes? There aren't enough words to describe those: so delicious, filling, addictive, healthy, enjoyable! We had to be there 2 days in a row and had delicious chocolate pie, tea and coffee on the first day + cottage pie, to fish and cheesy chips and spicy ribs burger, hot chocolate. Super highly 10000000% recommended

Lovely welcoming atmosphere, food was delicious and staff were lots of help with providing recommendations. I was sceptical of the fish finger sandwich, but it ended up being so much better than I could have imagined. Chips were also cooked very fresh, definitely had the home cooked vibe

Have had many sit down meals and takeaways from Canteen 18. It's one of my favourite places to go for a payday treat. I highly recommend the tofish and chips! The chips are like chippy chips (except not horrifically greasy) which makes me very happy when I have a craving for chippy chips. Staff are so friendly and very thoughtful, they clearly value their regular customers. I also love their Victoria Sponge cake whenever it's available. A firm favourite of mine! I couldn't recommend them enough. I just wish I didn't have to wait until the weekends for my fix! Their opening hours are very clearly stated online and on their social media, which is helpful to anyone wanting to visit wanting to avoid disappointment. They're also very responsive if you have any questions about their opening hours or anything else.

Stopped here around half 12 and ordered 2 cooked vegan (late) breakfasts (Β£8.50 pp) and hot chocolate drinks. Plenty of items inc in breakfast - sausage, rashers of bacon, black pudding, baked beans, tomato, mushrooms fresh spinach leaves, 2 hash browns, vegan style scrambled "eggs" & seeded slice of toast with spread. Very tasty, nicely presented and a relaxing atmosphere. Covid restrictions in place. The only negatives are - we waited an hour until the food arrived even though the cafe wasn't particularly busy at the point of ordering - the lady there was apologetic though (I think they were busy with pre orders for takeaway) & parking can sometimes be an issue in/around Brynmor Road.

When I entered the cafΓ© I looked at the menu boards and was surprised to see words such as "ham", "bacon" and "sausages" chalked on there. I almost turned around and walked out but I'd been on a water fast for five days and I was weak and very hungry. I'd also walked quite a distance looking for some good, tasty food. I ordered garlic mushrooms with humus and a portion of sweet potato chips. The chips were very dry and tasteless. The mushrooms were ok except they were garnished with parsley which doesn't have a nice taste. Basil would have been nice. I normally love humus but this was cold, watery and not flavourful. If it wasn't for the mushrooms there would have been nothing for me to enjoy in this meal. The service was good, the staff are both nice and the cafΓ© is clean and nicely decorated. The price was fairly low. I'm a bit disappointed that the food was so bland as there are not many vegan cafΓ©/restaurants around. If it was better I would call in regularly. Maybe people who come here want direct meat substitutes but I gave up meat because I didn't want to eat it anymore. I would suggest the cook goes out and experiences some nice food. Try Govindas. I don't know many places around here but I cook thin base pizzas, pakhora, omlettes, soups and Mediterranean wraps that would blow your mind. I'd be happy to pay more but I need something to taste. People can't think too much of this food if you only open 2.5 days per week. I hope this review doesn't upset you but more than that, I hope it wakes you up. You're a nice person. Be more than just a mediocre cook.

First time in an all vegan cafe. Plenty of choice on the menu n the lady working there is super friendly. Sourdough toast n smokey beans were my fave. Would go back to try the lunch menu.

Went here twice with my wife during a short break in Swansea and enjoyed it for the most part. My wife had Tofish and chips, I had a Burger and chips on one occasion, and we both had no-egg mayo baguette for lunch another day which was all very nice. The only niggles were the seating wasn't that comfortable and extra ketchup was another 50p which was a little surprising considering the price of the food, but overall a very good experience and would definitely recommend it.

What an absolute little gem of a place, slightly rustic and oozing with character with not a hint of pretentiousness I can only but highly recommend for quality and really, really good customer service! I was in a party of 4 with 2 dogs also, we were all made to feel very welcome and we shall be returning and also recommending without doubt! Thank you. It’s nice to see an independent business thriving! β€οΈπŸ‘

Went to No 18 on good Friday, it was a nice day and the large front window was open with tables outside , this gave a lovely summers on the way feel. My husband and I had an Asian Buddha bowl each which we both thoroughly enjoyed. Neither of us are vegan so don't let this put you off, good food is just good food. Shall definitely be back

Vacationing near Llangadog found this place for breakfast on our trip back home. Really nice place. Lots of tasty sounding items available on the menu. Super friendly team. A huge shout out to the girl on front ( brown hair in bunches) Really sweet and so patient and helpful. Even during busy moments the cafe felt calming and I like how much space they're is between other diners :) Both mine and my partner's breakfast meals were wonderful! High quality. Nice presentation. Tasted fresh and was super hot! Coffee was good. Cosy atmosphere. I like that they're is a good selection of vegan cakes and chocolate bars to buy. It's s shame we don't live nearby as I would love to come here again! Will definitely return when next in the area! :) Thank you NO18!

Canteen 18 have really captured that traditional British cafe community vibe. Fantastic and friendly service and food that is consistently delicious. They have a range of items to choose from, ranging from healthier Buddha bowls and smoothies to more decadent poutine and home made pies. Such a lovely place to be, certainly the best vegan food in Swansea. I've been coming for years and will continue to do so! P. S they are dog and baby friendly... What more could you want?!

Really enjoyed our visit to the Vegan Cafe. The staff was super helpful and friendly, the food delicious, great quality, they serve generous portions and they offer gluten free options too! I found it to be good value for money, the place has a nice and cosy vibe and I definitely want to go back there next time I'm in Swansea.

Nice cafe with a good range of options. I had a coffee and full breakfast. Food was great, staff polite, came quickly. Only reason it's 4* is I thought it was quite pricey but that's in the eye of the beholder - Β£9.50 for the full breakfast, maybe that's standard for the area as I am from more rural Yorkshire. I'd definitely come back and it did make me think more about becoming vegan.
