I
can't
understand
the
previous
reviews
with
the
basic
tenor:
great
staff,
great
ambience
and
extraordinary
culinary
delights,
unfortunately
not
at
all.
In
the
"Derby"
(Hotel
Atlantic)
we
celebrated
a
birthday
party
that
could
hardly
be
surpassed
in
terms
of
sadness,
so
I
would
like
to
save
other
people
from
such
a
disappointment
with
my
rating.
Down
to
business:
The
staff
was
not
very
attentive
and
accommodating.
Although
we
found
the
restaurant
very
empty
that
evening
(less
than
1/3
of
the
tables
were
occupied),
we
were
allocated
an
area
separate
from
the
rest
of
the
room,
in
a
large
partitioned
area
where
nothing
stood
but
a
lonely
row
of
tables
with
some
chairs.
When
we
asked
the
seven
of
us
to
be
allowed
to
sit
in
the
more
comfortable
dining
room
with
niches
and
benches,
we
were
told
that
the
other
seats
were
all
reserved
and
that
a
change
of
occupation
was
therefore
impossible.
Even
an
hour
and
a
half
later,
two
thirds
of
the
tables
were
still
free
there....
Then
we
were
asked
directly
about
the
drinks,
whereupon
we
first
asked
for
the
menu
because
we
wanted
to
make
it
dependent
on
the
food.
The
drinks
menu
consisted
of
two
black
and
white
copies
on
DIN
A4
paper,
the
menu
was
so
clear
that
it
didn't
even
fit
on
one
page.
I
don't
remember
all
the
dishes
listed
there,
but
what
our
table
ordered:
Veal
schnitzel,
falafel
fries,
beef
steak
(there
was
only
one
variant
with
a
kind
of
paprika
butter)
and
a
fish
dish
(I
think
it
was
walleye).
Because
there
were
only
two
dishes
for
vegetarians
and
I
don't
particularly
like
falafel,
I
chose
Caesar
salad,
but
without
chicken.
Radler,
Weißburgunder,
Rotburgunder,
malt
beer
and
a
bottle
of
water
were
ordered
as
drinks.
Because
it
was
a
birthday
party,
of
course
we
all
wanted
to
toast
together,
but
this
took
a
long
time
because
only
two
glasses
of
white
Burgundy
were
brought
and
the
red
Burgundy
was
forgotten.
My
beer
was
tapped
two
fingers
below
the
0.4
mark
and
had
almost
no
foam,
which
outraged
my
son,
who
is
a
trained
brewer
and
knows
a
thing
or
two
about
good
draft
beer.
The
request
for
salt
and
pepper
was
ignored
even
though
we
said
it
quite
loudly.
The
dishes:
The
best
part
was
the
greeting
from
the
kitchen
with
a
delicious
walnut
and
olive
baguette
plus
olive
paste
and
butter.
Unfortunately,
we
concluded
from
this
that
it
would
go
on
like
this
in
terms
of
quality.
The
falafel
fries,
while
flavorful,
stayed
quite
dry
with
a
microscopic
dollop
of
sauce
on
the
plate.
The
portion
was
quite
manageable.
At
least
this
dish
didn't
taste
bad.
The
steak
was
so
far
i.
O.,
the
feedback
from
the
fish
is
missing.
Unfortunately,
one
cannot
say
that
the
schnitzel
reminded
my
partner
of
his
university
canteen
days,
where
schnitzel
were
parked
on
warming
plates
until
they
were
dust-dry
and
rubbery.
As
far
as
my
choice
goes,
I
couldn't
have
been
more
wrong.
The
Caesar
salad
turned
out
to
be
an
oblong
platter
of
romaine
lettuce
leaves,
topped
with
a
few
completely
flavorless
cherry
tomatoes
bathed
in
a
creamy
cheese
sauce,
along
with
sparsely
slivers
of
parmesan.
No
croutons,
corn,
cucumber
or
other
vegetables,
as
is
usual
with
Caesar
salads.
The
strips
of
bacon
on
the
menu
(which,
of
course,
I
would
not
have
eaten
as
a
vegetarian)
were
left
out,
but
not
replaced
with
anything
else.
In
another
restaurant,
the
chef
served
me
fried
oyster
mushrooms,
which
were
a
very
tasty
substitute.
The
amount
of
ingredients
on
my
plate/platter
was
rather
pathetic
for
€9.50
and
I
had
to
eat
my
fill
at
home
afterwards
so
as
not
to
go
to
bed
hungry.
Last
but
not
least,
I
would
like
to
ask
whether
it
is
necessary
to
force
several
people
over
the
age
of
80,
some
of
whom
have
mobility
problems,
to
fill
out
the
corona
data
sheets
with
pencils
in
the
lobby
of
the
restaurant
when
the
lighting
conditions
are
miserable
and
while
standing,
instead
of
closing
them
while
sitting
at
the
table
take
care
of?

Ich
kann
die
vorherigen
Rezensionen
mit
dem
Grundtenor:
Tolles
Personal,
klasse
Ambiente
und
außergewöhnlicher
Gaumenfreuden,
leider
so
gar
nicht
nachvollziehen.
Im
"Derby"
(Hotel
Atlantic)
haben
wir
eine
Geburtstagsfeier
zelebriert,
wie
sie
kaum
noch
an
Tristesse
zu
überbieten
war,
deshalb
möchte
ich
durch
meine
Bewertung
gern
andere
Personen
vor
einer
derartigen
Enttäuschung
bewahren.
Zur
Sache:
Das
Personal
war
wenig
aufmerksam
und
entgegenkommend.
Obwohl
wir
an
dem
Abend
das
Restaurant
sehr
leer
vorfanden
(nicht
einmal
1/3
der
Tische
war
belegt),
wurde
uns
ein
Areal,
getrennt
vom
restlichen
Raum
zugewiesen,
auf
einer
großen
abgetrennten
Fläche,
wo
nichts
weiter
stand,
als
eine
einsame
Reihe
von
Tischen
mit
einigen
Stühlen.
Auf
die
Bitte
hin,
sich
zu
siebt,
in
den
gemütlicheren
Gastraum
mit
Nischen
und
Bänken
setzen
zu
dürfen,
wurde
uns
erklärt,
die
anderen
Plätze
wären
alle
reserviert
und
daher
eine
Umbesetzung
unmöglich.
Auch
anderthalb
Stunden
später
waren
zwei
Drittel
der
Tische
dort
noch
frei....
Dann
fragte
man
uns
direkt
nach
den
Getränken,
woraufhin
wir
erstmal
um
die
Karte
baten,
weil
wir
das
von
den
Speisen
abhängig
machen
wollten.
Die
Getränkekarte
bestand
aus
zwei
Schwarz-Weißkopien
auf
DIN
A4
Papier,
die
Speisekarte
war
so
übersichtlich,
dass
sie
auf
nicht
einmal
einer
Seite
Platz
fand.
Ich
erinnere
mich
nicht
an
alle
dort
aufgeführten
Speisen,
aber
daran
was
unser
Tisch
bestellte:
Kalbsschnitzel,
Falafelfritten,
Rindersteak
(es
gab
nur
eine
Variante
mit
einer
Art
Paprikabutter)
und
ein
Fischgericht
(Zander
war
es,
glaube
ich).
Weil
es
für
Vegetarier
lediglich
zwei
Gerichte
gab
und
ich
Falafel
nicht
sonderlich
mag,
habe
ich
Cäsarsalat,
aber
ohne
Hähnchen
gewählt.
An
Getränken
wurde
Radler,
Weißburgunder,
roter
Burgunder,
Malzbier
und
eine
Flasche
Wasser
geordert.
Weil
es
ja
eine
Geburtstagsfeier
war,
wollten
wir
natürlich
alle
zusammen
anstoßen,
was
sich
aber
langwierig
gestaltete,
weil
nur
zwei
Gläser
weißer
Burgunder
gebracht
und
der
rote
Burgunder
vergessen
wurde.
Mein
Bier
war
zwei
fingerbreit
unter
der
0,4
Marke
gezapft
und
fast
ohne
Schaum,
was
meinen
Sohn
empört
hat,
der
gelernter
Brauer
ist
und
was
von
gut
gezapftem
Bier
versteht.
Die
Bitte
nach
Salz
und
Pfeffer
wurde
ignoriert,
obwohl
wir
sie
recht
laut
geäußert
haben.
Die
Gerichte:
Das
Beste
war
der
Gruß
aus
der
Küche
mit
leckerem
Walnuss
und
Olivenbaguette
plus
Olivenpaste
und
Butter.
Leider
haben
wir
daraus
geschlossen,
es
ginge
qualitativ
so
weiter.
Die
Falafelfritten
waren
zwar
gut
gewürzt,
blieben
aber
mit
einem
mikroskopisch
kleinen
Klecks
Soße
auf
dem
Teller,
ziemlich
trocken.
Die
Portion
war
recht
überschaubar.
Immerhin
schmeckte
dieses
Gericht
nicht
übel.
Das
Steak
war
soweit
i.
O.,
vom
Fisch
fehlt
die
Rückmeldung.
Was
man
leider
vom
Schnitzel
nicht
behaupten
kann,
dass
meinen
Lebenspartner
an
seine
Uni-Mensa-Zeit
erinnert
hat,
wo
Schnitzel
so
lange
auf
Warmhalteplatten
parkten,
bis
sie
staubtrocken
und
gummiartig
waren.
Was
meine
Wahl
angeht,
dann
hätte
ich
wohl
kaum
mehr
daneben
liegen
können.
Der
Caesar--Salat
entpuppte
sich
als
eine
längliche
Platte
mit
Römersalatblättern,
auf
denen
einige
völlig
geschmacksneutrale
Kirschtomaten,
neben
sparsam
verteilten
Parmesanschnitzen,
in
einer
Käsesahnesoße
badeten.
Keine
Croutons,
kein
Mais,
Gurke
oder
anderes
Gemüse,
wie
sonst
bei
Caesar-Salat
üblich.
Die
auf
der
Karte
stehenden
Speckstreifen
(die
ich
als
Vegetarierin
natürlich
nicht
mitgegessen
hätte)
wurden
weggelassen,
aber
durch
nichts
anderes
ersetzt.
In
einem
anderen
Lokal,
hat
mir
dafür
der
Koch
gebratene
Austernpilze
dazu
serviert,
die
ein
sehr
schmackhafter
Ersatz
waren.
Die
Menge
der
Zutaten
auf
meinem
Teller/Platte
waren
für
9,50€
eher
kläglich
und
ich
habe
mich
danach
zu
Hause
noch
satt
essen
müssen
um
nicht
hungrig
ins
Bett
zu
gehen.
Zu
guter
Letzt
möchte
ich
noch
fragen,
ob
es
nötig
ist,
mehrere
über
80
jährige,
teils
gehbehinderte
Personen
zu
zwingen,
bei
miserablen
Lichtverhältnissen
und
im
Stehen,
im
Vorflur
des
Restaurants,
die
Corona-Datenblätter
mit
Bleistiften
auszufüllen,
statt
dieses
sitzend
am
Tisch
zu
erledigen?
