Impressive building with many beautiful viewing areas. You should have seen it! Especially the raised bridge under which the taller inland vessels can enter the lock!

Great, modern facility. Great: standing above the fish ladder and staring into the raging waters.

Very interesting. Everything important is explained here with information boards. You can see a lot from all sides. The escaping water often leaves behind a great rainbow.

In keeping with the season, a cold wind was blowing and drizzle was not long in coming. It was a short birthday party in an open area, carried out in accordance with Corona (2m distance).

Don't understand the hype... It's a hydroelectric power plant. Nothing more, nothing less. Anyone who sees it from the outside is initially impressed. The structure is massive, no question about it. The environment itself is not particularly beautiful. Especially since it is known that the Weser only has brackish water, stinks like the plague and is cloudy. The entire area around the power plant is one big fish market. It smells rotten and stale. Personally, I find neither peace nor rest here. I can imagine more beautiful places...

Very good description of the function and history of the Weser weir. The proximity of the Biergaretn is also very nice. A very good place for sunset photos, especially in summer.
