Schiffahrtsmuseum der oldenburgischen Unterweser - Haus Elsfleth

Tourist attraction Museum

👍👍 The shipping museum in Elsfleth is a really nice excursion destination. The exhibition is lively. Little text and a lot to try out. For example, the old boat builder tool boxes are real old family treasures and the owners themselves tell their story when you push a plane into the right place. Anyone... The museum itself is great! If only there weren't any visitors. Children in particular are only welcome if they are quiet, don't touch anything and certainly don't move. So the museum pass really becomes an experience and you rob the children of their interest in museums in the first grade. Many thanks to the super child-friendly and guest-oriented employees. We will recommend all of the museums from the Museum Pass in the Wesermarsch, but definitely not this one.

The shipping museum in Elsfleth is a really nice excursion destination. The exhibition is lively. Little text and a lot to try out. For example, the old boat builder tool boxes are real old family treasures and the owners themselves tell their story when you push a plane into the right place. Anyone who wants to sit at the original desk of a shipowner can get the story by calling the old telephone. My children always have a lot of fun, especially the ship simulator upstairs. Who hasn't always wanted to drive an ocean liner at full speed into the harbor wall of New York? Unfortunately the simulator was broken last time. I hope he will walk again soon. I can only recommend the museum to anyone who is in the area.

The shipping museum is interesting for people who are familiar with it and it is even more interesting for people who have not come into contact with this matter. It's definitely worth a visit. I liked it. Photographs may only be taken with permission.

Very well prepared, varied, modern presentation of the exhibits. The highlight is the shipping simulator, which allows you to maneuver a freighter in the harbor of New York. Well done!

Very interesting. The Telegraph is doable even if you're not that good on foot because there are places to sit down on every floor. It's also nice that you don't have to "work through" all 3 houses in one day if you get a combination ticket.

Very informative, very loosely prepared through subtle use of multimedia. The ship simulator alone is worth a visit. Nice staff at reception, everything was very bright and relaxed. And with the low admission prices, a second visit is certainly worth it.

Very interesting, lots of digitally connected information. Functional ship simulator, really great. Feel like a real captain. You can see what work used to mean.
