Nice place hidden away in Batangas, with good food, friendly service and loads of seating areas. Went on a weekday lunchtime so it was completely empty, but the food was very good and tasted authentic. Service was also very friendly.

My favourite restaurant in all of Batangas. Lots of German and Asian dishes to choose from. The owner Lorenz can explain the dishes to you in detail. A very sociable place to hangout after work. Good for lunch, dinner or just a cold beer.

Best place for great food and Bier, German owner invented a lot of nice German dishes. Great atmosphere. Bring mosquito stuff, the have small, lovely fishpond, but it causes bites 😀

Excellent.... Authentic German dishes, selection of German Beers, and so much more. Servings are generous, freshly prepared, and delicious. Visited with a party of 4 and we sampled several appetizers and both German and Traditional Filipino dishes - lots of choices! Beautiful and spacious dining area with kubus, standard tables, and bar seating. Staff is very friendly and attentive, without hovering. Plenty of parking. Looking forward to our next visit to explore more of their culinary offerings!

It took 40 mins to get our order (2 main dish, 1 appetizer). Magkasabay sinerve appetizer and main dish which is a 👎👎 The Bicol Express is too bland. Menu is too expensive for the taste/overall quality.

They say the food is good. But if you see the price...even a Westerner will find it expensive. The price does not justify the tast. Even a simple local beer is 100% more expensive.

Not sure why the reviews are so positive and people recommended this. They serve so many cuisines but I'm not sure if they know how to make any of them. We had to wait very long for our food & drinks which were basic . The burrito did not have any sauce, and was drained with grease and cheese. For a mexican restaurant they only served one mexican dish. It deserves a 2 because the batangas restaurant standards are that low.

Used to be our go to place, well attended by the owner, engage conversations well make you feel at home. Food is not the usual, always well prepared. The apple cake is the best for pre order, and baked by the owner himself. A very good place for a bar drink. Or for groups the kubo is the better choice. Will keep coming back....

Was there this afternoon with girlfriend and daughter. We took the grill platter 2. There was a lot of food on the plate and it was very good. The place is also very nice. Good service and they even had Ouzo, one of my favourite drinks. All in all good quantity and quality for a reasonable price

The place is nice and cozy. Like a palaisdaan with outdoor cubo for its individual tables. Good place for drinking and eating small plates. But don't be fooled by the term small plates. Their serving size is bug, good for 3-4 people. The meat in all their dishes are hard though. Explains the knives in the utensil set. But the fried potatoes are really good! Perfect flavors and every bite is perfectly crunchy 😋

A Hidden Gem If you find yourself in Batangas searching for food beyond the local fare, then this is the place. Restaurant El Toro serves authentic German food along with a great mix of Mexican, Korean and Filipino fusion food. The menu also included burgers, seafood, and different desserts. These are matched with German beer, local beer, cocktails and shakes. From what we ordered, the meats were nice and tender, the grilled seafood wasn't dry, the sauces were good and the soup was well-balanced. We had the dark Oettinger and it just hit the spot. The layout has a central area surrounded by huts. It has that relaxed tropical vibe and the quaint decor adds to that. There's no aircon, but then that's part of the ambiance (and that made the cold drinks and shakes even more satisfying). The owner is this jolly guy and he goes around giving the service a personal touch. Overall, it's a restaurant like no other in Batangas.
