The dates of our trip got screwed up when we booked. We emailed the property and they said that they would change our dates for us for no additional charge. But later they completely went back on their word and although we already paid $160 USD for our rooms they told is that we would need to pay another $200 USD to rebook it. Don't give them any money ahead of time. Don't get screwed over like we did! >:(

In the Philippines the greatest luxuries are: Air Conditioning, water, and toilet. Rarely does a hotel in Mindoro have a website. More rarer is a phone number. Was able to call as getting on late ferry from Batangas, confirm a room availability. Easy to walk to (2km exactly from Puerto Galera ferry pier, ignore the touts and trikes) hotel. 1,000 piso ($18.50) for Air Conditioning, shower, TV, drinking water, bed. A wonderful, relaxing, refreshing, spacious place after a long day of travel from Manila.

The staff at this hotel is amazingly helpful. We intended upon staying somewhere completely different, but the receptionist was so welcoming and the price was perfect. Also, hot showers seem rare in the Philippines so my time here felt luxurious! This hotel is also attached to the best Italian restaurant in town, coffee drinkers will be right at home.

Be careful on this hotel as they will tell you when you leave that there's missing towels and they'll make you wait so you'll just pay for it. We went there as a group so they said there's few missing towels but no one took it. They'll make you wait and ask to pay for it, the moment I said something about it they decided they found it. So be careful, we will not go back there again.

Our overall stay here is very convenient. I'm very thankful to the honest staff for notifying my purse I left after checking out. Highly recommend hotel to stay here at Puerto Galera. The rooms are very affordable and cozy.

Friendly staff, sumptuous authentic mexican food within the vicinity at very affordable price

Stayed here in November 2019 to celebrate my mom’s birthday. I was with my family and we were about 9 people. It was generally an okay stay. The place was nothing really fancy and just enough as a place to sleep in. The family room was spacious. We had four double-deckers perfect for our quantity. What I did not like was the staff did not clean our room nor there were cleaning materials inside the room. There was also power outage in one of the nights we stayed in. There was no pool and it was quite a distance from the main attractions in Puerto Gallera such as the White Beach.

Pros: Good staff, good location, clean, and likely to stay that way. Good food nearby. Cons: Low water pressure. I stayed in a standard room.

New hotel with amenities still ongoing but can accommodate already. Nice, neat place. Quiet compared to neighboring hotels.

Ate good Mexican food at Mexican Bytes at the Answer Hotel.

The hotel is accommodating and near some of beach. It's near some of the exclusive beaches in Puerto Galera.

Visited Puerto Galera on December 19, 2023, and stumbled upon Answer Hotel while exploring near Mangrove Conservatory. After a tiring 3-hour RORO ride from Batangas to Calapan, and subsequent travel to Puerto Galera, we were in need of a good, affordable accommodation. The rooms at Answer Hotel caught our attention with their spaciousness and neatness. Ms. Michelle, the attendant, was incredibly helpful and accommodating. Thanks to Answer Hotel, our first night in Mindoro was truly worthwhile. Looking forward to coming back and staying at this hotel again! Note: Standard Air-con Room for 2 was 1200 per night. (Super Sulit!!)
