Yellowbell Hotel - Batangas City

Hotel

😠 Awful hotel. Don't believe the good reviews - they're fake. The receptionist was rude, often rolls her eyes. The rooms were tiny, dirty, moldy and damp. The room we got looked like someone just used the toilet. The photos online are nothing like the actual place. People often mention room, clean, hotel, dirty, water, stay,

This hotel is only for those need a place to crash and will leave early the next day. I booked what was supposedly the best room but the same was not clean. The cabinet, table and windows were dusty. The bathroom was dirty and had molds and no shower curtain. The pillow has molds too. The AC's cover is broken, no intercom, very limited parking, no security guard, no in-house restaurant/no breakfast, no complimentary bottled water. Location though is good because it is walking distance to/from SM Batangas. Staff were courteous.

I booked here just a day before arriving due to sudden family emergency. I paid room with parking "they said" when booking. The photos on Agoda was misleading, the pictures I saw was for deluxe. When I rechecked my booking as I got there, I learned I paid for standard room. I left my luggage and before I went to business I was promised parking space if I get back past midnight. As I got back, no parking space at the property, and gave me no choice to park across the unlit street on an rough/dirty sidewalk. Bidet was dirty-moldy. Water is too weak. Only one toilet flush button work, and that is for #1 only. Room has no indoor double lock system. Blanket is thin: just cotton and suede type blanket -- no wonder they were renting duvet at the front desk. I had to open windows to circulate air as you can smell the bathroom. Bath towel is short and thin. It's a so-so place. If on a budget it's standard room is okay as just a place to sleep, but bring your own tooth brush and toothpaste (I am glad I did). If you want real comfort on a standard room budget, go somewhere else. And oh! There's no wifi in my room.

Standard room (Room 604) for 35 USD doesn't have suffcient water pressure to shower. There is also no wifi and the bed linen aren't exactly clean. Welcome to the 80s. Avoid this place and find a much better Air BnB option nearby.

Nice place to stay. Simple, clean room with toilet & bath. Hot/cold shower. Shampoo, soap, towel and toilet tissue are provided. Cable TV. WiFi is available at the ground floor area. It’s signal is weak in the upper floors. Mobile network signal is strong & LTE is available if you will use your data. Staff, especially Jerry, is friendly and accommodating.

Filthy dirty, yes you get what you pay for and it was only supposed to be a few hours before an awkward ferry time. They did offer a new room which was equally if not more dirty, then they spent an hour cleaning another room. I mean they tried but it’s a very very dirty hotel, dust on the sides and ledges, smeared mirrors, stained toilets (don’t lift up the rim!) considering my the size of the bedrooms (tiny) it wood by take long to properly clean them so we just didn’t understand it at all. Don’t bother spend a little extra and get a clean stay elsewhere.

Hotel is clean, reasonable room rates and has very accommodating staff. We had the twin room that includes, 2 towels, vanity kit (toothbrush & toothpaste), soap, shampoo and tissue, hot/cold shower. You can also request for additional bed and kits for additional charge. They also have a water dispenser you in the lobby free of charge. I liked the view from our room (5th floor). It's also a 5min drive to SM and other restaurants like Dominos, Jollibee, Citi Hardware, 7/11, I highly recommend this place for short stay.

This hotel is too pricy to the standard they provide, 1800p per night for standard room, is simply too high, room come without a fridge, water kettle or coffee in room. The bathroom not directly dirty, just very worn-out and the hotel is little bit far from the port.

Staying at the yellowbell hotel is like, what you see is what you get. There's nothing fancy about the hotel yet it's simplicity and functionality is enough for a day or two stay. The hotel is clean and safe. No need for a swab test result but they will require you to have your temperature check upon arrival. The hotel offers alcohol/alcogel and other hygienic products at the lobby. Check in is easy just fill out some paperworks and pay. We got a room at the fifth floor. The hotel has a tiny elevator enough to fit only four person or two person depending on how much luggage they have. The room is small but it is clean. Upon entering, you'll see the room has a queen-size bed. There's tv with cable. Wifi is also provided but the connectivity sucks, better bring your own pocket wifis or connect to mobile data. The bathroom is clean with a shower that has a water heater. The toilet has a bidet, but the water pressure is super low, it will get you cleaned but it'll take you some time. The room is also air-conditioned. It gets very cold fast. Lighting is also good, there's a main light, a dim light and a bedside lamp. The only thing that is annoying about the place is that it is near a tricycle/jeepney terminal. The people at the terminal uses a megaphone to announce their travel routes and they do it almost every five minutes or so and it's quite loud. If you're planning to sleep during the day better have some music-headphones on. The room we booked did not come with any food. But since the hotel is near SM Batangas city, we bought our supply there. There is also a nearby Pares stall that offers cheap delicious meal. Although since it is pandemic you may be wary eating there. All in all it was a good two night stay.

Bed sheets are an optional that have to be paid extra. One of the worst hotels I've even been. Very dirty.
