What a weird experience (1 out of 5). Today, we went to Waltermart Calicanto for our usual quincena basic grocery. All went well except for when we are at the cashier to pay for our goods. Typical scenario at the cashier, the attendant ask for our SMAC and we hand over our phone to show my SMAC app where my QR Code and Card number is visible (we’re bot sure if we have our SMAC card with us at that time). The attendant call for assistance for the on-site manager or supervisor (maybe?), shouting “Ma’am, pa-manual” (Please, take note on this).) But then unfortunately, “We don’t do manual po.”, the manager/supervisor told us. I then explained that that was the usual thing that happen when we forgot our SMAC, in addition, we told them that earlier we use the same method on the Waltermart Department Store, on the same building, of the Waltermart branch. But then, we receive an explaination that “iba po kasi kami” (context of what I understood). We then opt to let the transaction without SMAC. Two item scanned later, we found our SMAC in between our cash bills. We immediately handed the card to the cashier but then, too late na daw and that we should pay for the first 2 scanned items muna, then next transaction na yung remaining items. We ask if we can “pa-cancel muna yung mga item” then re scan? But to no avail, di daw pwede pa-scan. Because it was too late na daw, we opt na lang sa sinabi ni ate. It was weird lang that there was a default shout na “Ma’am, pa manual po” but then they don’t do manual na. Siguro hindi lang nakapag brief that morning or if matagal na yung policy change, hindi aware si ma’am cashier or hindi pa nakakapag brief for the said policy change. But pwede i-manual yung gift check worth 20k, in another story na lang siguro, matagal tagal ding kwento yun. Hindi ko rin alam yung “di pwede pa-cancel” since naka-cancel naman nila pag kulang pera or change ng mind nung buyer, from my previous experiences. Anyway, sobrang weird lang or unusual nung process kanina. Sorry po sa mga kasunod ko sa pila.

Good location to have near the city. I recommend adding more stalls that are tailored to meet the customers' needs.

Quick fast grocery needs ...no long lines on cashiers

It's my favorite grocery shopping place when I visit Batangas City. It's clean and I like the atmosphere. The prices are good, especially their meat.

It all depends what you're looking for, right? If you're looking for fancy stores, this isn't the place to go to. But if you're looking for a no frills go-to place, where COVID protocols are taken a notch higher- with staff wiping your pushcart handle with alcohol, that has a supermarket with a lot of choices, that isn't crowded, where you get to the front of the cashier line in just a couple of minutes, and where there's lotsa parking, you'll love this place.

Accessible place and less traffic.. Stop and dine place!

a great place for shopping, eating, fun, grocery and many more..with a very good feel vibes to all the people, friendly place not just for adults but for children too. very spacious and accessible. staff's are very accomodating and humble. good place to hang out catching up with friends and family. very reliable when it comes for services 😀

A nice place to eat, rest, dine and shop. They have a large indoor parking spaces on different levels. Wide and spacious food court located at the 3rd floor. (Beside arcade/video games playing area.) They also have a study area for students or anyone who prefers a quiter environment. Good air-conditioning and comfort rooms.

A good place for your grocery errands. Presence of several fastfood restos, cheap diy shop, pharmacy and banks will complete your grocery trip. Wide parking spaces on a crowded city.

Convenient at the parking area and has a very good ambiance.

Nothing fancy but it has everything you need. There’s also enough parking. Building is clean and well maintained.

A place to go to if your in a hurry for a hardware and fastfood lots of choices. Ample parking but sometimes guards tend to get picky in allowing to park at the 3rd flr does not follow the que line instead picks those who are familiar with them. Colorum vans going to nasugbu tend to park or hide here.

Very unprofessional! Double charged my card and took zero responsibility or action to make charge back! They shrugged it off to me and have made me deal with my bank for weeks - STILL NO CHARGE BACK! This is not how you treat customers. The merchant that made the error is supposed to fix it NOT the customer!

Christmas is here at Waltermart Batangas City. You can bring your kids here but you need to follow COVID-19 health and safety protocols by sanitizing your hands, wearing face mask and face shield. However, some shops are closed by 7pm.

You can find almost all of your basic needs in there.

Prices of meats at supermarket here are very competitive. Although it is quite far from my place - west district of Lipa, there is no traffic jam driving there and I can still save by buying in bulks. Free of charge covered parking as well.

Nice and open place, great metropolitan atmosphere and a good selection of shops and fast food restaurants, indoor parking is very spacious and will soon have a 3rd floor

A small and simple mall. But easy for shopping.

Not my type of mall, but not bad so far. Less choice of shops & restos, usually take out!

Great selection of items plus short queuing on check out.👍
