I've been in this Church attending my friends wedding. The parish has a solemn ambiance. Clean and well-maintained surroundings. What I like most, is the fresh air specially during afternoon.

One of the best church. It doesn't matter that this church is too small and too short to upgrade as minor basilica. The thing is the characteristics of a minor basilica which exist in this church. For me, San Isidro Labrador Parish of Batangas City is one of the churches in Batangas province which is possible to be upgraded as minor basilica. I'm not joking, I'm serious. Why? How? Here are the explanations: San Isidro Labrador Parish of Batangas City has a perfect location because it was located in rural part of the city. When we say rural, one of the word that comes in our mind was "farmer", as in, a farmer who works in farmland which is technically located at rural area. San Isidro Labrador (English: Saint Isidore the Farmer) is patron saint of all farmers. One more and the most thing. This is the main characteristic of minor basilica which exists in this church. Despite of the church aisle (or entrance procession from the church's main entrance to altar) for being too short, entrance rites of 7:00AM Sundays mass take too long with nonstop entrance song until the priest is now ready just like 7:15AM and 4:30PM Sundays mass of Minor Basilica of Immaculate Conception Parish in same city. The reason why entrance rites take too long is, aside from circling the altar while smoking the altar with inscent, the priest also travels to 4 images of saints beside the altar (2 on left, 2 on right) and many more for inscent smoking one-by-one. While in Minor Basilica of Immaculate Conception Parish, this church is too long, making entrance rites of 7:15AM and 4:30PM Sundays mass take too long. And that's all the reasons why San Isidro Labrador Parish should be considered for upgrade as minor basilica. Minor Basilica of San Isidro Labrador Parish, or for short Basilica of San Isidro Labrador Parish, for future. As of now, Batangas has 2 minor basilicas: Minor Basilica of Immaculate Conception Parish in Batangas City and Minor Basilica of Saint Martin de Tours in Taal.

My great grandparents, Don Vicente and Dona Maria Iturralde donated the lot where this church now stands.😇
