Great place to stay and relax. Staffs are accomodating specially the guy in the reception. One thing that is not very well is the food in the restaurant - I will rate it as 2 stars.

Very dirty toilet when we arrived. It smelled! We had to call and get someone to clean. No toilet paper. When we requested for toilet paper, we were only given 1 roll when there were 4 of us. They said we should just ask for more if we wanted more. We were staying for a couple of nights and they only wanted to give us 1 toilet roll. What if we ran out of toilet paper in the middle of the night? Are we then expected to call housekeeping? They eventually added 2 more. I understand cost savings but really? Blankets were super thin and small to be shared by two. If one us moved, the other one would be without a blanket

The room. The room doesn't give a premium feel. We took the classic quad room that's good for 4 persons. It's the room where they offer a window. Unfortunately, though there is a window, it's facing a big wall. So, I'm not sure why a window would be there as it didn't serve any purpose. The room is simple. Not too many fixtures. There's a tv, a water heater for coffee, and a cabinet for your clothing. No safe or small fridge. No small table and chair. The bathroom is simple with a shower, a toilet and sink. I'll give them a kudos for having strong running water with hot and cold options. No hair dryer there. The toiletries will need improvement. It has soap and conditioner. These are the satchet ones that you'll be able to buy in local stores and not the bottled ones that you'll find in big hotels. Toiletries does not have toothbrush so bring yours or buy one. Wifi is slow and would need improvement. Luckily, I brought my prepaid wifi for this kind of problem. The tv has HBO and some other channels and not just local. Basically, the room will serve its purpose if you are searching for a place to sleep. The pool. Mang Yan is just one of the few places in White Beach that you'll find a pool. And one of the reasons we made the reservation. Pool is clean. There's a pool for the children and the adults. Maximum depth for the adult pool is 6.5 ft. Water is warm which adds to the relaxation. Floor is not that slippery. You'll often find the staff mopping the floor dry which is a kudos for them. The service. Service was great. Staff are very friendly and offers help when needed. There's a time that we had to ask for the rug in the bathroom to be replaced because it was already soaking wet. I just made a call to the reception and in less than 5mins, someone was already knocking at the door. The free breakfast is good and not too fancy. They offered tocino, fried fish and tapa served with rice, egg and juice or coffee. The location. The hotel is just a few meters to the beachfront. Very convenient. Overall. If you want a place that has a pool and really close to the beach. Not looking for fancy rooms and want things to be working as it should be (except for the wifi). Mang Yan will be a great choice. Btw, we didn't mind all the things that are lacking because we were out most of the time. Suggestions to Mang Yan. Wifi really needs some work. Toiletries as well. It would be great if you can tie up with a travel and tour company. Offer touring discounts to guests. Please place a menu in each room so the guests would know what you offer. Or at least setup a menu outside the restaurant entrance. It would be convenient to know that you don't have to go out for a walk if in the middle of the day when the place you stay already offers great food. Those can set you apart from the other hotels in the area.

We were greeted kindly and generally we were off to a good start. The room was fair and cleanliness within reason. HVAC was operational. Access to the beach is close and the pools are clean. The food made the kids sick, steer clear. The checkout is a debacle. Without going into any details, budget 10% for β€œfees” on top of the already SUPER expensive room rates. There are plenty of places in the immediate area for half the price. If you must have a place with a pool, near the ocean, this isn’t a terrible deal. If money isn’t an issue, head further up the coast to Infinity Resort! It’s $300 a night, better food, better pools and no games at checkout. I’ve travelled all over the Philippines and Asia, review 100’s of places...IF YOU’RE A FOREIGNER, go elsewhere with your money! Want specific details? Email me. Happy to assist you. The exwife speaks Tagalog and can assist you.

STAFF: Excellent and very friendly staff. You could feel the ease after a long travel as they'll welcome you with greetings. Guest should expect constant greetings from staff on the hallways, pool and every part of the hotel. FOOD: I felt like the comp breakfast portion was too small. Quality was good though. And they should include different options for drinks, not only brewed coffee. ROOM: You don't go to Puerto Galera and stay at the hotel half of your trip. Rooms are quite spacious given the location is a minute away from the white sand beach.

No elevator for senior and pwd Room with broken toilet and mold on the wall, changed the room Electric main switch out of service Smoke detector out of service, battery empty Wifi with coupon valid for one day, very annoying for four days with three persons, works only sporadic for a few minutes Curtains full of stains and ants Bedsheets are worn and dirty Drainage is clogged, when washing your hands in the sink the water will come out of the drain on the floor, hot and cold shower is working but a little bit tricky to use Breakfast is served in the room, no table to eat, coffee cold, same the rest of the so called breakfast, not as mentioned in the menu, nearby several restaurants serving nice breakfast for a decent price Half of the sockets not functioning Very noisy window type air-condition, had to be fixed fife times within 24 hours TV with local programs is blurred The obvious recycled refrigerator was the only unit working without problems, but looks horrible Restaurant doesn't know what food is sold out, unable to serve three meals at the same time, one is still waiting when the others are already finished No dinner available because the restaurant closes at 9pm Pool is clean, but open until 9pm only, towels available on request at the reception Location very close to the beach with easy access, way from the main road is flooded when raining No activities offered by the reception Uncountable brown out, generator takes long time to start When paying with credit cards there is an extra charge of five percent Conclusion: not worth the price, can get better accommodation for half the money nearby, not recommended

Rooms are fine and a little outdated. Complete with necessities. Although they need to clean it more thoroughly. Bed sheets still smell like cigarette smoke probably from the previous guests. There is a complimentary breakfast but the serving is very small and served a little cold already. Service can still be improved in terms of being friendlier. I would also appreciate if they would prohibit smoking around hotel premises and videoke just outside their dining hall to create a peaceful environment. The best advantage of this hotel is its location which is just a few meters away from White Beach and just a few steps from transport options.

the place is new so expect some glitches. brownouts, unreliable room cleaning, spotty wifi, their bathroom floors always wet, no shower curtain. but staff are friendly, there is hot water and coffee pot, towels are cotton thick. I also wish they could provide guests booking tickets for boats to and from Batangas port, and smooth arrangement for day tours. There was disconnect on what they promised on the day tour and what we actually got from the boatmen.

The toilets almost don't flush because of the type they use(some type of water saver), too the point you don't want to use them out of fear. WIFI is almost non existent. Lost power 3 times in 2 nights stay. Only local channels on the TV. While the property looks great on the outside the rooms are far behind in amenities and comfort.

Not so many choices for breakfast. For non Philippines this is not good. The pool is ok. It is not a big one.

Good place to stay. Hope the name of the hotel "Mangyan" would be the inspiration of the interior and outdoor decors/design. I didnt see any. Please showcase the Mindoro native furnitures, house/kitchen items, souvenirs etc so as to support Mangyan community.

Staffs are so accommodating, good service. Wifi is good, The rooms are clean, the location is just a minute walking to the beach front. Need to improve the smell in the CR, maybe because of the poor piping there is an unpleasant smell came from the floor drain and laboratory sink.

I had the most incredible experience staying at The Mang-Yan Grand Hotel by Cocotel! From the moment I walked through the doors, I was greeted with warmth and hospitality that exceeded my expectations. The staff went above and beyond to make my stay memorable. The rooms were not only spacious and comfortable but also beautifully decorated, creating a soothing and luxurious atmosphere. The attention to detail in every aspect of the hotel's design was truly impressive. One of the highlights of my stay was the exquisite dining experience at the hotel's restaurant. The food was nothing short of exceptional, offering a diverse menu with dishes that catered to every palate. The presentation and flavors were top-notch, making every meal a culinary delight. The Mang-Yan Grand Hotel's amenities and facilities were outstanding. The pool area was a fantastic place to relax, and the spa provided a range of rejuvenating treatments that left me feeling pampered and refreshed. The hotel's location also made it convenient to explore the local attractions and enjoy the surrounding beauty. What truly sets this hotel apart, though, is its exceptional service. The staff's dedication to ensuring guests have a memorable stay is unparalleled. They were always ready to assist with a smile, making me feel like a valued guest throughout my visit. In conclusion, The Mang-Yan Grand Hotel by Cocotel is a hidden gem that deserves every one of its five stars. It offers an unforgettable blend of luxury, comfort, and personalized service that will leave you longing to return. I can't recommend it enough and can't wait to visit again!

Very good experience. Staff is super friendly and helpful. They even arranged the complete door to door transfer from Manila, it was very smooth. The hotel location is amazing, next to white beach. The breakfast is very good. The room was clean and comfortable. Only negative point, why the door of the room have many small window, first its not the best for privacy, but at night all the light is going in!

🫀 Wasn't impressed w the meals they were bland, we had pork adobo, caldereta and fish filet. The fish was bleh edible but I wouldn't order it again. 🫀 Although food was good, their services to the costumer were not very good they were not assisting as very well compared to some customer. We saw a cat inside, and one waiter kicked the cat to go away. If you do not feed the animals, at least not hurt them.

πŸ‘πŸ‘ It's nice to be back in Resto Veranda and as usual.. The food never disappoint me. The curry wurst taste better than the authentic berlin curry wurst, It's my opinion :) If you're planning to have a nice sunset, resto veranda is perfect!
