It's great place to visit if you want to enjoy some island beach experience without breaking the bank. There are lots of resorts in the island to choose from, but there are also transient houses being offered there by the locals for your accommodation needs. People are friendly. For the visitors, you might want to hold on to your power bricks because there is no electric company in the island, so electricity needs are generally provided by solar means and in schedules. On the other hand, Cellular signal is fairly strong . I am using Smart sim, and the signal is pretty much stable and strong. For the budget conscious, you might want to buy or carry your necessities with you before going to the island. Purified drinking water is available and ferried in the island daily by the passenger boats going to and from Ilijan Mini Port.

This is a must visit place if you are into freediving scuba diving snorkeling and any water activities.. just a 3.5-4 hour drive and 30 minutes boat ride from Manila

Highly recommended to those who want to have a quick getaway. It's just near Manila and yet you get the same satisfaction if you visit some other beaches far North or South without even spending too much. The Island is not commercialized yet so it's not that crowded. The water is clear green. There are spots where you can do snorkeling and free diving. The view here is instagrammable indeed. I suggest you look for budget friendly DIY trips. 😊

such a paradise, ive been here for my field biology, rich marine biodiversity, center of center of marine biodiversity in the world. We were able to observe different corals just few meters away from the shore in sampalucan (if im not mistaken).

We visited during rainy season. No stable electricity. No grocery stores to buy food. However there are small sari sari store and mineral water refilling station.
