Room: Thereā€™ no tv, no ref, no table/chair. Lots of mosquitoes inside, we killed more than 10 and then when we told them, they sprayed Baygon. Not much privacy too since we can hear the next door guests thru the connecting door. Too pricey for a small room like that. Pool: Not for kids as the shallow parts are too small for them to enjoy swimming. Restaurant: The taste is ok but the serving is small. Pricey too. Their upstairs deck is full of mosquitoes day and night. Beach: Nice beachfront, the water is clear and bluish, the waves are strong during our stay. Beachfront is near the public area. Service: Staff are friendly.

I really wanted to like this place because the people were so sweet and location was great. However, my stay was so disappointing. I booked 3 rooms for my group. Two of the rooms had very low water pressure for the shower and the toilets would not flush properly. There was mold in the bathrooms. The room doors had alarms when left ajar. The alarm for one door kept going off though it was closed. When dining at the restaurant, we asked that the room be charged. Typically, I would request this to save time when dining and so that my credit card on file would be charged. The downfall is that it prolonged our check-out as the front desk had to communicate with the restaurant to get the dining charges. They then manually added up the charges and asked for my credit card again. If I would have know this, I would have just paid for my dining charges each time I dined at the restaurant. Finally, we had to wait until they inspected the rooms before we could leave. That was simply ridiculous. Needless to say, I will not be staying here again.

This is a great place when you want to just chill. Not crowded (could be because we went here during weekdays). The staff are very accommodating and the food are delicious (a bit pricey but worth it). We ordered 3cheese pizza, pasta bologna, angus beef burger. Smoking area is near the bamboo trees, but we were allowed during our stay to smoke near the restaurant. Our room is good for 2, great bathroom because the water is already hot when you take a shower. The pool is child friendly, not too deep. Great place overall.

The Henry is overrated. For its pricepoint of about 10,000 pesos per night you would expect more than just basic amenities. Thereā€™s not even a phone in the room so how can you even call housekeeping to get some towels or bottled water. The door of our room is broken and there is nobody in reception or housekeeping after 10 pm! So we had to wait outside for the manager to be called so he can bring a key. The bathroom shower is old and the rooms really very small with window type aircon. Good thing the food is OK at the restaurant. The pool is small. I think the hype of the hotel is only because of its restaurant and the location is a good 3 hour drive from manila but well I dont recommend that people stay here for that price there are other resorts in the same area offering better amenities bigger rooms and better service. Overall POOR Rating. 2 Stars.

A gem of a resort in laiya. Worth the money and the staff make it an excellent experience! They have adjoining rooms, queen and double. Watch out tho. No extra beds to be found. Amenities are great! Bring your own lounge things for their beach is a bit sparse.

    1. Arrived 5pm, guy from the reception approached us in the parking and asked if we have reservations. I said yes and mention my name. We have bags, instead of offering help to assist us with our bags, Male Receptionist left us in the parking and proceed to the counter. 2. Upon registration he is asking if we paid the Town/Tourism Environmental Fee, I said no because there was no instruction is the email hotel sent to me. Room, rate we paid is 10k + pesos for a night. Why they cannot include the 20.00 environmental fee. It wonā€™t harm the 10k+ room rate. 3. Room & Toilet was very small 1. No closet to put the cloths 2. No bed side table or any table to put your stuff. 3. No glass in the room or toilet to use for toothbrush 4. Worn/Overused Towel 5. Toilet floor Clogged 6. Aircon is very noisy 7. No Telephone in the room if need anything you need to go to the reception. 4. Breakfast is so so , I asked for coffee refill , you need to pay for the 2nd cup Food in the restaurant is overpriced and nothing special. Overall, the resort is OVERRATED, Expensive, not worth for the money you pay 10k + pesos per night Will not recommend Will not come back again

Stayed overnight for a weekend. They were fully booked but it didnt feel like it; the beach was not too crowded, nor was the restaurant. The small pool was occupied by 1 family and it felt intrusive to take a dip. The white beach was the best feature.. the sand was not fine but pleasant to walk on; the water was clean and calm with barely any waves. The lifeguard kept non-guests away from beachfront area. They only had 4 cabanas so sometimes we had to set up a mat on the sand (i didnt mind). The room was quite small, no tv or ref. No cabinet but had 1 luggage rack. Bed was firm, pillows were soft and fluffy. 2 outlets on each side of the bed (helpful for phone charging). Ac took a while to get cool. Hot shower was fine. They provided soap, shampoo, toothbrush and toothpaste, earbuds, cotton pads ans lotion. The most annoying thing was placement of the bidet on the left side of the toilet. The restaurant had steep Manila prices, food (we had porkchops and chicken bbq) was ok, nothing to write home about. On saturday evening they had a lounge singer entertain guests. You can also choose to dine upstairs at the lounge (fewer people). I had their halo halo (around P300) but it was huge, served in a palayok. Hubs had corned beef sliders with fries (tasted great). For breakfast we had their tapa (it did taste homemade and not commercial/preservative-ladden). The staff were all very friendly and helpful. I had been to other resorts in Laiya and so far they had the best part of the beach; this alone is worth coming back for.

Rate is high for the amenities. Sure there is a pool but rooms are small and are not sound proof. No TV, no small drawers where you can keep your clothes. Dishonest receptionist. Mirror in the room are for a 6 footer. Other resorts are not par conpared this botique hotel. FYI - The Henry's Management

Its a loooong drive from Manila. Good thing we rented a van. It took us around 3hrs to get there. Be ready for the Batangas traffic. The resort isnt that huge. They dont even have elevators to get to the higher floors since its manageable and I think they only have the 2nd floor for the remaining rooms. It can be overcrowded when there are other groups in the hotel. Good thing they can adjust the tables quickly at the Apartment 1B resto. Rooms aren't that spacious. Really just a place to keep your valuables. The room we got 201 had a really cramped restroom. The showers are old as well. Good thing their bed is nice and the air conditioning is fast to cool the room. Be ready to bring extra snacks and water since its a long way drive to the next 7-eleven. If you're planning to get drunk, they also have a corkage for your bottles so its better to buy one from the resto instead. The beach isn't quick swimmable because of the high waves. Best to keep your eye on the kids if they will swim on the beach. They have a pool as an option that is open until 9pm. šŸ‘šŸ»

The Henry Resort offers a cozy and intimate resort experience with limited guest rooms, a medium-sized pool, a small bar, and a communal dining area. Despite its modest size, the resort provides a welcoming atmosphere for relaxation and leisure. The real highlight of The Henry Resort lies in its exciting water activities on the beach, making it an ideal destination for group gatherings and fun-filled experiences. Whether you're into water sports or simply looking to enjoy beachside activities, the resort's offerings are sure to add excitement and joy to your stay.

Rooms: We rented 2 rooms. Rated 3 stars for the room because our toilet and bath has no exhaust/windows, so when you do your business(you figure the rest..hehehe) the other room has a window in the comfort room. Other than that, the rooms are clean and cozy. Service: staff are very pleasant, especially the ones at the front desk. Food prices are pricey. It wouldn't hurt to have one free refill with the coffee, though. Your family might want to explore outside the resort for lunch or dinner. Breakfast is included in the package & they have a good selection in the menu. Location: a little challenging esp if your not from the area. There was no visible sign along the road since there were loads of other signs from other resorts. ** the place was well maintained and hallways are clean. Thumbs up to the staffšŸ‘

The place is quiet and instagramable. I like the beach not for the sand but for swimming purposes. It feels like I am swimming in the river in the sea. The food was great, the rooms are clean and big

A wonderful small resort place if you donā€™t want the multi-bldg multi-pool resort with too many people, especially noisy families, plus itā€™s also located on the farthest end of the Laiya beach stretch. Itā€™s just more pricey for those reasons, and thatā€™s what you pay for. They have cute kubo hut things on the beachfront you can sit on and just hang out in. You can even bring your drinks there. Their resto is also superb as they indeed serve yummy gourmet meals and drinks. Again, itā€™s pricey if youā€™re used to budget travel prices, so be prepared. They accept credit cards anyway so thatā€™s a good thing. The room I got is on the 1st floor and away from the common areas so thatā€™s a plus point if you want quiet times. Itā€™s just a bit small so check what amenities or inclusions the rooms have prior to booking (like if you want a ref or microwave or tv etc, my room didnā€™t have those). Their resort pool is just small so donā€™t expect to do laps. They have a second floor balcony type of area where you can dine, chill, and even work with your laptop. The wifi in all areas is strong and reliable. Overall a good experience. I wonā€™t mind returning here. #TravelMiron

Im highly recommending this for family outings (not for barkada who are looking to do videoke or evening party). 5 stars for the location because beachfront is wide with white, clean sand. On it's right though is the public beach but not that crowded. 5 stars for service as the staff were very attentive and polite. 4.5 stars for food due to being relatively pricey but tasty and good quality and presentation so it's worth it. 3 stars for the room because it is small with no mini bar considering the price. Overall, very relaxing ambience and i'd say this is one of the upscale resorts in the area. There's ample parking by the way. Looking to go back in the near future.

The Henry Resort made me feel very at home. The resort was quiet, clean, and very relaxing. All staff were all very friendly and they genuinely wanted you to enjoy your stay. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that the restaurant was run by Apartment 1B. The food was very good. Will definitely be coming back to this resort!

Great small resort, very friendly staff always willing to help! Because it is a smaller resort the entertainment is limited but therefore there is a nice and calming atmosphere in stead. Clean rooms. Restaurant (Apartment 1B) has a nice and balanced menu with Asian/European/American dishes for a short stay (for a long stay the menu might be somewhat limited). Very nice pool, good beach, nice massage. We had a nice and relaxing 4 day stay šŸ˜ŽšŸ˜Š!

Staff is accomodating and pleasant. Resto, pool and hallways and pathways are neat and clean. Room is clean but lacks table to do little works or eat with rooms mates. No TV also for entertainment before sleeping. Given ths price of room, we expect a complete basic room amenities. With the price also, it should at least have breakfast. Overall it is still a good stay but need to consider more of the completeness of basic room set-up for the given a high room rate.

The rooms are too simple. There are no closets or drawers to store any of your luggage away. The hot water is barely warm. Walls are thin. You can hear every word from the neighbors room. Room cleaning is only happening by request. The beach section is surrounded by motorboat and jetski rental services. Those guys kept on violating the safety borders of the swimmers area by crossing it with nearly full speed. I was not feeling safe there. Food was good. However, the menu was not diverse enough for its price range. Overall, I feel that place to be overpriced.

Great place for a short family getaway to relax and unwind from the city stress. Food is served by Apartment 1b and everything is delicious. The service staff and crew are very accomodating. The beach area is just a few steps away, perfect for the quick dip and water activities are available. Restrooms and shower rooms are located nearby and are clean. The only problem we encountered is the shower drain of our room has a problem and it takes forever to drain the water. Other than that... better check it out and enjoy the experience.

Staff 5/5 - Friendly and they are always waring facemask Amenities 4/5 - Decent pool, nice 2nd floor lounge, restautrant is pricey but taste good Accommodation 2/5 - No ref, no table, not enough hook to hang your clothes, no drawer or cabinet and there's no tv. Beach 3/5 - Doesn't feel exclusive since it is beside many resort. No privacy if you want to stay on the beach since water activities (jetski banana boat ufo etc) is just beside Henrys beachfront.

Rating the restaurant ONLY as we just dropped by to eat. Food and service were wonderful. I like that I was allowed to trade the mashed potatoes for mixed veg instead. Nice view of the beach from the al fresco resto. One negative about our visit: restaurant toilet was occupied when we arrived and it took a while before it was available. A staff person stepped out so I assumed he cleaned the toilet that's why it took long. When I stepped inside, it reeked of cigarette smoke. šŸ˜•

The staffs are nice and courteous. The pillows, linens, beds are of hotel-standards. The swimming pool is nice too. Unfortunately, the rest is not at par with its nearby resorts. It is too close to public resorts. You will not get some kind of a privacy when you're in the beach. The cavanas are in the middle of jetski's parking area. It smells gasoline in the morning & at night time. Water sports equipment are park on the same area, theres no exclusivity and kind of dangerous too because the boats, jetskis , banana boats etc. takes off from the hotels swimming' space. Imagine boats and jetskis moving towards you while youre swimming. The food is quite pricy but not that good.

Pros: 1. If you're looking for a pleasant stay but a in small and fairly looking resort with a beach front, hotel standard rooms and food then this the place to be. 2. Staff and front desk are friendly. There was no hassle on both entry and exit. 3. Rooms are hotel standard and not your typical beach resort rooms with just bamboo beds and thin beddings. They have four large pillows and a comforter for each bed. Rooms also comes with coffee press and bottled water. Bathroom have clean towels, with hot and cold water. 4. Pool and jacuzzi is nice. Just small and fits the settings of this quaint resort. 5. Restaurant is is chique and service is just right. Food choices are like those found in hotels in Manila. 6. The resort has its own WiFi that reach 80 mbps during our stay, plus it has a wide converage. Cons. 1. Location is vey far, not commuter friendly. Will cost you more if you don't have car with you. Resort is at the very end of the concrete road. This resort is for reservations only. No walk-ins. Its actually sits on the border between costly Laiya resort and on the budget ones. 2. Beach front is totally public, expect non guest taking pictures or walking by the beach as they stroll. We experience one non guest who was a complete stranger took pictures next to our personal items. Good thing the life guard told them stay away from the huts. 3. Some amenities like the pool CR and path ways needs some attention, they look dirty and doesn't give you much privacy since its just next to the restaurant. 4. Not sure but flies we're flying around as we eat. I haven't seen any electric insect killer in the restaurant nor even next to the rooms.

charming & cozy place. great for a short getaway with family. the rooms had soft, but firm beds; big pillows complete with the vanity necessities including a hair dryer. liked that the room had a coffee press & ground coffee! staff were courteous & accommodating. loved the food served at the hotel resto c/o Apartment 1B šŸ’„

Very very beautiful. The rooms were very comfy and tidy and the interiors looks good (the plant murals were a nice touch) Staff were very accommodating and fast to respond to our needs. They have a restaurant inside the resort that serves really delicious food! Also the resto ks overlooking the beach so you get a really nice view. The pool is divided into two segments (a tub type; where you can sit together with friends or family and the regular pool) The beach front is very clean and spacious. There are huts where you can rest or leave your stuff while you swim. Overall, me and my family were very happy with our stay and would love to come back soon!
