I went to Capt'n Gregg's only once for dinner. Although the food was alright, I was not overly impressed with it from several points of view: I had better at some other places for a cheaper price and with better service. The evening I was there was not very busy but I found it was difficult to get attention from the staff... I also used their dive center to go to Verde Island. The dives were not cheap, the staff not the most attentive to their guests. I prefer to use other dive shops in the area.

Definitely one of the better places to stay on the island for the price you pay! Firstly, location is very convenient to the bars, and various restaurants around the area. (granted that Sabang area is not that big). Rooms are clean and spacious, toilets are new and nicely renovated as well - major plus points. You even get a duvet which is great, as the room comes with strong AC. Most rooms open up to the sea and you get a good view. Staff at the hotel are very friendly and will help you with anything you need. There is a booth where you can book your ferry tickets to Batangas which is very convenient. If you’re at Capt’n Gregg’s for diving, you’re at the right place as well. Equipment are new and clean, and works well. Being a beginner diver, I was nervous but there are a lot of experienced divers here who are all willing to lend a helping hand no matter how (in)experienced you are. Boat is located right in front of you so you’re not lugging your equipment a long way. I would say you do get the full package all in 1 place - good accommodation, good diving school and good food at the restaurant, with an amazing view, coupled with exceptional service. Will definitely be back next time, thank you for the hospitality!

I needed a good breakfast and decided to take a beautiful ride along the coast road to Captain Greg's. I was a bit disappointed with the maps directions as it took me to the middle of nowhere about 7 kilometers away from Captain Gregg's. Then got onto their face book page and got the correct directions from that. It was a good experience once their food was great and a good hearty breakfast I had the cornbeef hash with egg. Then had a nice chat with a Utube blogger that is here on a vacation from Angeles, Philly in the Philippines. It's also a pleasant view overlooking the sea and watching the dive bouts go out The service was good and the staff were pleasant. I'll probably go again tomorrow for breakfast.

Basic room right off the pier at Sabang and on the sea front. Food at the restaurant was good and the dive shop below was great and we did a few very good dives with them. Would recommend the dive shop. Room was full of mosquitos when we arrived so we had to go out and get some spray to kill them off. The hot water also wasn't working the evening we arrived, and when we left the cold water was off so it was just boiling. Wouldn't recommend the ground rooms at the front. It's so loud during the day with people up and down the stairs. And at night the bar next door can have some very noisey patrons. No toilet roll, toiletries or water in the room so stock up before you arrive.

This resort has it all. The food is definitely some of the best in Sabang. The dive instructors are top notch and make safety their highest priority. Lots of different rooms but they're all solid and good value. It's on the boardwalk so you get a great view and location.

Have not stayed here but i have seen the rooms and they get 5⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐.. Restaraunt serving great food..cold beer.. They used to have a public phone you could use (for a fee)..i used it in lockdown to change my flight..very helpful... Sit upstairs looking out over the sea sipping your cold beer or enjoying a meal... Friendly staff... Definately go there again when i get there next month... Ps be careful if you order a gin juice...i have had many a wobbly walk home after a few of those

Restaurant review: Gin-juice became a classic for us after the dives. They have a great Sabang Bay view, tasty local and international dishes, and friendly staff.

We didn't stay in the resort but did our diving with them.snd had couple of breakfasts in the restaurant. The review is for the dive shop, super friendly and safety-oriented operation. Pre-dive briefing is the most detailed we had in 5 years diving. I had a problem equalizing quickly due to some mild cold and they arrange a dive plan to accommodate that. The dive shop guides and instructors are super friendly and professional.

Good accommodation, great food, great pricing, dive operation good as well. A bit of noise from nightclubs, but not too bad and nil with simple ear plugs.

Been coming back here 3 times all year for the wonderful diving. When I could I stayed and ate here. Great accomodations, food& drink, staff & hospitality. The English speaking dive Community here are all professionals and are a hoot.

We had a great time with Dave and his crew! Thank you very much, we definitely want to come back. Diving with you was superb but we also loved the GinJuice 😀 Food and rooms upstairs were also really good. We checked out many places before deciding for a divecenter and this one was the best by far. Keep up your amazing work!

Rooms are old should get a renovation a litte more cleaning would hurt no one and it smelled terrible in the bathroom. There where no sheets on the pillow or blanket. The location was allright. I also got a new fridge when i complaind about the old one beeing completly moldy that was nice. All in all capatain gerg should get a renovation.

I didn't stay at this place, but I did try their restaurant as it looked inviting from outside. Went for dinner there. Pleasantly surprised to see number of vegetarian dishes on the menu. Service was good and friendly. Servers were prompt with menu and quick to answer any questions. I just found the food boring... Same veggies were used in my soup and fish dish. In the vegetable soup. The veggies were raw and uncooked, even the potato. Who likes crunchy & raw potato in a dish? I don't think I will eat there again... getting raw food for the price I paid is not cool.

Stopped here before lunch for a few beers and a feed. Quite and relaxed during the day. Nice view of the ocean. Beer was cold and cheep. Large selection of food on the menu. Had a cheese burger that was pretty tasty. Has low cost accommodation from what I could see

Great food at the Phoenix bar and great diving with the Captn Greggs family. Rec, tech, UW photography. And of course, still the home of Gin Juice!!!

We just had dinner here, so I have no idea about their room. But the overall look nice because of this is a new building with new renovation. The foods here are really delicious, they have various foods included roast beef steak, I ordered a roast Bulalo, that's really impressed me, very big set with reasonable, of course very delicious, the beef is very tender and juicy even that is not the regular cooking recipe. I like Bulalo very much, but all my experiences are served with soup, this meal is without soup, but obviously delicious. Strong recommend to try this if you like Bulalo.

I ate at the restaurant and did not stay here but did visit twice in my short, four day trip. Fish was great and the fries were jasmine-flavored. As a bonus, margaritas are delicious!

I liked this place and the quality of its rooms and service the resort is located at the beach and its a heaven for divers. The restaurant in the resort is also good and serves food at reasonable price. The view from delux room is really good. You can consider this place for your stay.

Their food was okay, but boy were they expensive. Expect to shell out at least 400-500PHP per person.

😐 Place is good. Rooms are clean. Staff seems to change on approaching guests. I am a returning guest for years and normally they are really nice and accomodating. Not sure if its because we were all Filipinos and no foreigners with us this time. We sat in the pool area hoping we could order something...

👍👍 Absolutely beautiful place. Isolated from all the traffic and other overpopulated beaches nearby. Lots of flowers and plants. Beach is fine. Sand with a few rocks. Water is clear.
