This place is a kick in the pants, super fascinating, spectacular fun. Troll dolls first came onto the market in 1959. By 1964, I was 5 and all my little friends and I had our troll doll key chains. It was a must in the 60s or you just weren't cool. A changing industry and a third Tolls movie is coming out in 2023. You might be thinking the 12$ admission is a bit pricey but it is a guided tour. You have to see the collection to appreciate the time, energy, thoughtfulness and research gone into this museum. Even if you think your not a troll doll person, it is still worthwhile. And grab a coffee, tea, or other beverage while your there. You won't regret a visit.

A very unique experience! Truely one of a kind place and great if you love the strange and unusual. The only bad part is your kids will want to touch everything and they can't. I was also disappointed that after we paid my son was too scared to go through so he and my husband just stayed in the gift shop the entire time and weren't offered a refund. The woman who owns the place doesn't seem like a kid person either, which is strange for someone who owns a toy museum. She would probably have more returning customers if she were a bit more friendly and polite but maybe she was having a bad day....

This place is every bit as cool as it sounds! Very nice/friendly staff, really cool gift shop, and so many trolls you likely won’t even see them all. The coffee is surprisingly very good. I had the mocha coffee - it was fantastic. I’ll come back here whenever I’m in the area.

What a wild experience. The tour costs money. The Troll Hole Museum is the World's Largest Troll Collection that includes 9,001 unique trolls and over 48,000 trolls. The tour guide had audio that played during ther tour which was a new experience.

This was an experience like none other. If you find yourself nearby or looking for a destination to check out, grab a bite, and even a coffee all made in house. I definitely recommend stopping in. There's a small charge for the tour but it's worth it. It's a bizarre adventure.

I love the Troll Hole museum. You could do the tour more than once and still see new things you didn't catch the first time. The rooms are all uniquely themed including a whole cabin in the woods, a treasure trove and troll bridge, and rooms filled from floor to ceiling with troll dolls. The coffees and waffles from the Grumpy Troll Cafe are excellent and brewed and made to order. The gift shop has trolls for sale but also lot of neat gifts and souvenirs to take home. There's definitely something about the trolls that keeps you coming back.

Highly recommend visiting the Troll Museum in Alliance! The atmosphere was pleasant and cozy, and the employees were extremely welcoming. The cafe in the back was cute and we had some coffee during our tour. Roy, our tour guide, was insightful and had a great passion for the local history. He made our whole experience even better! It was lovely talking with him and his brother and plan on coming back soon with the rest of our family.

Definitely had an amazing time visiting with my husband. The care the staff has for every troll in the collection and every item waiting for a home is amazing. They made sure we felt welcomed and had a wonderful time! We will definitely be back and spread the word! Worth 10 stars in my book.

Alliance is the troll capital of the world, the largest collection of trolls, and has a troll hall of fame. The tour could have been better. The woman kept telling us how she got everything for free and the prices she did pay for ones. Was disappointing when you got to the gift shop. And the gift shop isn't focused only on trolls like it should be. You can street park right out front. Tour is guided. Shelves go up so high you cannot see them all. Admission is $12 a person. And you start and exit tour to the museum thru the gift shop. Expect to spend a minimum of an hour here.

Oh my gosh, what a fun place! I had my reservations, but now I will recommend this to everyone. There is an almost overwhelming number of trolls (as well as nostalgia!) to be seen, with trolls from the 60s through today. The dedication to creating the various spaces (of which there are about 15) was tremendous. You could literally spend weeks in here and not see everything! On top of that, the tour guide was super nice and had lots of great facts to add. Definitely a place to stop if you're nearby!

Had a great time! The tour guide takes you through the museum which has over 40 thousand pieces of troll memorabilia and dolls. They walk you through the history of the toys and then educate you on the origins of Trolls in folklore and traditionally made dolls. There's a cafe in the gift shop with gourmet coffee that's definitely worth the visit, even if you don't want a tour of the museum.

My family enjoyed it. However I think it's a bit over priced. I wish they guided tour gave you a bit more time to look around, (the history section was kinda glosses over.) Or let you walk through by yourself. Other places like this let you walk through the exhibits at your own pace. If you were able to walk through at your own pace I would not think it was over priced.

Such a fun experience! Went today with a group of 18 older adults. It is a great experience for kids of ALL ages. Our guide Jessy was very personable and informative. The tour is a minimum of 45 minutes so may not be so good for toddlers.

Exceeded my expectations by a mile. This is a super unique, fun, and charming attraction and I am so glad I went. Received a great tour from Roy. The collection is huge and spans several rooms, including many intricate dioramas and themed rooms. Absolutely everything that a quirky museum should be🩷

I wasn’t sure if I wanted to visit this museum, but I was visiting the cat museum just a few steps away, so I thought I’d give it a try. This nutty little museum is a delight! And the people who work there are charming and fun. I must admit, I’m not into troll dolls, but the collection is so impressive and the information is really interesting. So if you’re in Alliance, Ohio, don’t miss this little treasure. The gift shop alone is a feast for the eyes.

This place was adorable. We went there to check out the trolls, not knowing they also gave out tours. The entire upstairs was like walking through the history of trolls. Our guide was very knowledgeable and passionate. It was a fun way to spend a Saturday afternoon.

Found by complete accident and an hour and a half later, we realized it was one of favorite stops on our weekend trip. The curator is COMPLETELY into this which makes it even cooler. More Troll stuff than I knew existed. WELL WORTH a stop !

While I was in town for work, I needed to kill some time my last day in town and after googling what I could do, I landed up at the Troll Hole. I had low expectations going in, but I never would have guessed how awesome this place turned out to be. They have a guided tour that lasts about 45 minutes and it is extremely informative. They not only talk about trolls as the toy, but also history, mythology, etc. I definitely recommend checking this place out if you have the time to do so!

Very interesting. Large collection of just about any Troll doll made. Grouped nicely so that you could enjoy the evolution of them. Learned all about the history of Trolls. Yes they do exist!!! Grandkids (5 thru 11) loved the tour. 5 kids, 3 adults $60. Well worth it. Will be going back to shop at their store. So many fun and unique items for gifts.

If you like trolls this place will be a dream come true for you! If you are just curious about what's going on there, it's worth it if you are in the area. The 60 min tour is shorter if there are only 2 of you. The gift shop is full of fun finds. I even got a buffalo bills troll (my mom wanted one too but there was only one). Do not... I repeat do not get the tumeric latte. Unless you enjoy the taste and texture of gravy as a drink. My husbands dirty chi latte was a much better choice.

It is a fantastic experience. Much more to see than you think. A fun atmosphere, positive vibes and you can shop for your troll fix whether you're young or old. Also able to grab your troll coffee or teas. Add to the experience and check out Wisecracks Comedy Escape Room or Mad Dogs/Crazy Cats. You won't regret a minute of it!

The museum was what I expected, which isnt a bad thing. What made it fun was our guide (with the beard). He knew everything about everything troll and we learned a lot. Keep up the town revitalization effort. This is worth a stop as it is certainly unique. Dog friendly certainly helped as we could get ours out of the house.

The Troll Hole in Alliance is the very definition of a hidden gem. Roy did a great job filling us in on the history and origins of trolls, from the trolls of yesteryear to today’s sweet Disney trolls. The tour lasted about an hour and took us through a house filled with literally thousands of troll doll and figurines. Anyone who owned trolls (or Wishniks!) as a child will enjoy revisiting a childhood favorite. If you didn’t own a troll, you’re still in for a treat. Grab a cup of fresh coffee at the Troll Hole Cafe and take a leisurely stroll through a fun troll fantasy tour. We’ll be back to see the new additions to the Troll Hole’s collection!

The Troll Hole is a great place for adults and children. We had a wonderful time being shown each different room, and the cafe and gift shop were also super fun. Our tour guide was down to earth and obviously loved his job. The card machine wasn’t working, but instead of making us get cash, they took us on the tour first and had us pay later. Would go again. There’s also a cat cafe close by, so start at the Troll Hole and get lunch/dinner after :))
