Undoubtedly the finest street food you can find in Kodaikanal. Absolutely impressive. The proprietor of this establishment is an incredibly kind, affable, and joyous individual. He remained true to his reputation by suggesting the finest dishes available. Even though we initially intended to have Maggie for one last time before departing Kodaikanal, the exquisite flavor of the masala Maggie convinced us to also sample the aloo tikki chat, as per the owner's suggestion. Believe us when we say that it was the most delightful thing we have ever tasted. An added advantage is that this eatery is entirely vegetarian, specializing in authentic North Indian dishes. If you have a preference for pure vegetarian North Indian cuisine, you should absolutely give these dishes a try. I wholeheartedly endorse this establishment and will certainly make a return visit during my next trip to Kodaikanal.

Paranthas have never been better. Each dish is freshly made with generous loads of amazing quality ghee and butter which instantly makes you feel at home. The taste is immaculate and the steaming hot food eaten in Kodaikanal’s weather makes you feel such delight. The shop is run by a punjabi man from Delhi who very clearly knows his food. His benevolent and jovial nature is just another thing to look forward to. You will definitely not regret coming to this establishment, that’s for sure!

Food was excellent and they prepare them after checking the taste requirements with the customer. We ordered momos and pav bhaji with extra butter and my kids loved it. Paaji, aapka hospitality aur aap see hui baath cheeth sae buhuth kush huae... Only one request, if possible bring in some non-veg items.

I was wondering how this run down looking place was rated this highly rated and wasn't really planning to visit it. But given it was one of the only few vegetarian restaurants near the lake, we decided to try it. I am glad we did so, because the food was the best Punjabi food I've had in a while. The chef is punjabi and you're sure to get a large scoop of desi ghee in your parathas. You can customize pretty much everything in your meal and can enjoy a nice conversation with the chef along with some delicious hot food.

The experience was very good and the taste of food was also good. We tried many things and it was nice Items tried: Aloo Paratha 5/5 Momos 4/5 Coffee 5/5 Pav bhaji 4/5 Maggie 5/5 You can try here as the taste is from Delhi and the owners are customer friendly and will interact+ make you laugh as well. They will suggest some good view points with some history and what to try and not to. You can visit here if you are coming to view lake / going for any boat rides.

Punjabi Tadka In Kodai As you search around Kodaikanal for places to visit and encapsulate your eyes with greenery you taste buds deserve some attention apart from all that chocolate. We found this food joint next to Kodai lake(Punjabi Tadka). Obviously we were looking for pure vegetation food. Place doesn’t look fancy , it’s humble shop with a great chef. Owner runs the shop who happens to be from Delhi. First we tried pani puri which made us to visit the shop again in the evening. We had samosa and PavBhaji. My wife loved Samosas and I must say PavBhaji tasted heavenly. All the melting butter and beautifully cooked Bhaji. I wish i had bigger belly to eat more. Guess what, we went again there to eat more. Today’s order was panner and aalu Prantha. Prantha was stuffed with extra panner and cooked with desi ghee. Uncle made sure that there was no compromise in adding ghee. topped up with curd, pickle and chilli chutny. Food tasted better along with his sweet conversation. I’ll be visiting him again tomorrow.
