I started Warhammer 40K in the 1990s but fell off of wargaming in my late teens due to partying and no longer having friends that played. Just before lockdown started I got into 3d printing and needed paints for the figures I was printing. I went into the shop and told the storekeep my background and what I was looking for. Even though I was 3d printing my models I was welcomed as a fellow hobbyist and given sound advice and the latest offers for the paint. I mentioned that I wanted to get my daughter into gaming as well and was given a free model for her to try painting. Since then we (me and my daughter) have been back several times and have experienced some of the taster sessions for Age of Sigmar and have thoroughly enjoyed our time. Elliot has made us feel safe and welcome and knows us both by name even though we are hidden under the masks. I have booked in today for a painting tutorial for my daughter, who is incredibly excited and I'm sure it'll be a good time! All in all I thoroughly recommend Warhammer Wakefield for all your hobbyist needs.

Great shop ran by Alex who is very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable on everything Warhammer and Games Worksop. The place its self is a good size, well stocked and with room to paint and play the games. In a much better location than it used to be.

Called in today with a friend to have a look around and get some info as completely new to this. Alex was extremely helpful and showed us the ropes and recommended a starter pack for us to look at. He also talked us through a quick game to give us an understanding of the basics. Will be returning to purchase in the future.

Just been in for the opening weekend of the new location. Phenomenal store, super friendly and helpful staff, and a great space to share the passion of the hobby regardless of how long you've been a part of it or what level you are at. Can't recommend enough!

Friendly staff, amazing atmosphere. I've met also some fellow collectors there (who would have expected it 🤣). I just went there to look around, ended up staying there for a good hour or more. 😁

Went in today as have just started in the hobby. Alex was extremely friendly and very helpful! He even engaged with my fiancé and our 5 month old. He made what feels quite daunting task (walking into a Warhammer shop as there is loads to this hobby!) a very effortless experience! We will be back just because of him!

Love it there I go there with my friends most weekends and we just paint or build our miniatures while talking about Warhammer very nice staff too

I would like to prefix this review by saying that this is based on my experience today only and not my previous visit where Elliot was extremly helpful and friendly. Today we went into the shop to get some paints and ask a few questions as I am new to this. When we entered the shop the attendant (not Elliot didnt catch his name) was talking to a customer so we just looked round. 35 minutes later he was still engaged with the same customer and had not even had the deceny to say hello or ask if we needed anything. Luckily I had been in before because if this was my first experience at this store there is no way I would be coming back. ( 3 stars based on 5 for Elliot and 0 for the other guy)
