One of the best quiche’s we have tasted and the chef’s dressing should be bottled! Staff are friendly, good to see some regular faces from the ‘old’ Barn and the cheese counter as usual overflowing. Didn’t visit the butchery tho but would like to see the vegetables back but with a nod to more unusual ones. Only downside so far, are the salad bowls. Difficult to eat out of, would prefer either a shallow bowl of preferably a plate. Other than that, well done!

I have loved Bedford Cheese Company and their Decant bar in Bedford for a while but I love the fact they have now opened up a countryside cafe with farm shop! We went there today to celebrate an anniversary and I can honestly say its the best lunch we've had in a while. Everything is homemade or made locally. You can taste the quality and just tastes fresh. It's also reasonably priced for the quality of the food. Had all my favourites so it was hard to decide what to eat 🤭 The service was also really good. Everyone was so friendly and the atmosphere was lovely. We treated ourselves to a smoked bacon and black pudding scotch egg as well as some cheese recommended by the experts! My parents are hard to please and they were even asking what cheese was used in their cheese toasties! We will definitely be back 🎉🍾

Such a gem of a place! Food great and lots of yummy purchases in the shop too. Not obvious to find so spread the word to keep them open as it’s the sort of place you get excited to find when visiting other parts of the country. To have one on our doorstep is a true luxury! We’ll definitely return.

Went in today for the first time since the change over with my two year old for lunch! The service was outstanding, the staff were accommodating of my little one who is very chatty! The food was great and arrived very quickly, I got to enjoy a lovely coffee while my little one played with a sticker book! We also purchased some great products from the butchers. Will definitely be returning soon

When they first opened it was great. A few weeks down the line the menu changed and then chopped and changed and the service has reduced dramatically. Today items were missing from a dish we were charged full price for and we were not advised. When I questioned this I was dismissed. The eggs were not cooked properly and the toast was burnt. Businesses complain that we should use it or Loose it but they need to provide a decent level of service and food for repeat custom.

Great little spot for a light lunch with nice sandwiches (they have other food but we just had sandwiches) and cakes in a cosy setting. The cheese counter has an excellent selection and the staff know their products well.

Outstanding place. Lovely staff. A wonderful combination of a really nice cafe serving great hot food, an excellent cheese counter and deli, and top-class meat from a local farm. We discovered the place a month ago and have been back every weekend since - we'll worth a half-hour drive!

Just had another delicious brekkie 😀 Despite a couple of naff reviews everyone can have an off day but I can highly recommend coming here for food and deli treats including THE CHEESE. The selection of cheeses is incredible, the cakes - OMG and the butchers is the best. This beautiful independent company that supports other independent companies is a must visit. The staff are lovely & helpful so go enjoy 😊 you can thank me later.
