Great place we wanted to visit for a while now. It takes you from the minute you drive through the entrance. The staff is so welcoming and friendly. We were blown away by the magnetism of the grounds the ancient trees and the scenery in general. The mansion itself is also breathtaking. We visited the Gallery the shop as well as the restaurant. A day well spent. We will be back when the sun shines.

A historic landmark turned into an art gallery. This place is magical with vast landscape and a tiny lake with amalgamation of art. An art gallery worth your visit and time. The gardens to explore are a breath of fresh air. With amazing activities happening in the place often. Take your kids and pets for the weekend. Sit inside their cafe and explore art. An experience you will remember.

Lovely day visiting the Portrait Artist of the Year exhibition. Other galleries interesting and beautifully laid out. Nice walks around grounds, dog friendly areas, but lambs around, dogs to be kept on leads obviously. Looks like good range of activities for little people, but we didn't have any with us this time. Cafe excellent, food lovely, service good. Had booked table in advance.

Nice grounds if not particularly extensive but good for a little walk. Exhibitions were pretty interesting. Chinese bronze particularly. Cake was good in the restaurant.

Well worth the entrance fee. Plenty of parking. Nice walks. If you enjoy art you're in for a treat. The architecture is stunning. The restaurant is very good, but if you're on a budget, take a picnic. Plenty of lakeside picnic areas. ( you'll need a bag to take your rubbish home) Enjoy the boating after. Definitely recommend.

Such a lovely place. Beautiful pictures, interesting objects and I particularly enjoyed the folk art upstairs. A nice cafe with good coffee & sandwiches. The walk through the ground is lovely too, with plenty of interesting things to see.

Great place to visit with lots to see, from the moment you enter you see the amazing landscape by Lancelot 'Capability' Brown. There are some impressive "out buildings" to see as you walk around The house itself is impressive and contains a very impressive art collection from pottery to paintings, from all around the world. The restaurant has a great menu - but worth booking in peak times. Well worth a visit and not expensive, under 18's are free.

Interesting art displays in the house within beautiful grounds. New Exhibition on materials used by artists right up to present day is fascinating.

Varied but important collections. The material in the Chinese and Northern European galleries is internationally significant. Exhibits very well presented. The landscaped grounds and house are worth seeing as is the church, a rare example of Capability Brown's architecture. Good restaurant.

Attended a book launch event, held in a private room. Great surroundings for an event. Enjoyable lunch, the fish finger sandwich on sourdough came with plentiful salad. The grounds are lovely - think Capability Brown and you're there!

This house contains some fascinating items to look at. I was particularly impressed with the folk museum and the Chinese collection which has on display some outstanding artifacts that I feel are as good as, if not better than those in the British Museum. Unfortunately the weather was not good so I did not have the opportunity to look around the Capability Brown designed parkland. A good excuse to revisit.

A great place to go and enjoy art for all the family. This is no stick in the mud gallery but an interactive experience for adults and children alike. The only concern that I have is the cost of food and drink for the kids. Bring your own.

We came to see the Audubon exhibition...which we really enjoyed...but discovered that there was so much more to see. I loved the wildflower meadows &saw so many varieties of butterflies than I have seen for a very long time. My husband loved all the fantastic trees too. Our only regret is that we live so far away.

Went to see the luminaire exhibit which was a really beautiful sensory experience I’m the main building Quinton Blake’s Fantastic Beast Exhibit was there for a magical trip down memory lane Lovely other exhibits throughout the main building Great cafe and beautiful grounds Car park is on a steep hill and can be muddy so don’t wear your hood shoes Over all a really lovely place to visit

Great family day out for old and young alike . You have the main house and a lot of outdoor space and woodland to look round they have many events on. Mainly, art exhibitions, the best one for children, is the luminarium. That I went to 📸 below. Tunnels to walk through lots of lights very sensory. There is childrens outdoor area so they can run around. You are not allowed to bring dogs as their are a lot sheep roaming wild between the car park and the house. Best to book tickets in advance. Or you will end paying separately and may not get into the event you wanted to attend!

I saw something on TV about Compton Verney during lockdown. Despite a 3 year wait and anticipation, I think this is one of the best art exhibitions spaces and content in the country. Would thoroughly recommend a visit.

Didn't expect such a diverse art expo, lovely to walk around the gallery and then have some coffee downstairs. The map provided lacks some of the pathways in the park, but it is easy to get around and practically no chance to get lost.

Lovely day out here on a hot June afternoon.. Spent most of our time just basking in the sun next to the lake .. took a picnic and just sat and enjoyed our surroundings .. Didn’t need to go in the cafe so not sure what the food and facilities are like inside.. plenty of parking on site which is free but admission is pricey .. £18 for adults and £10 for 19-25 year olds .. children are free! Overall a lovely day out.. lots to do for kids to :)

Such a gorgeous place. Playground for the kids in the woods, relaxing strolls and dog walks around the fields, inspiring art... And when the sun is shining there's nowhere better to sit and soak up the surroundings.

We are local to Compton Verney, so we walk here quite a lot. The grounds are beautiful, and it is a very pretty location. Once parked, it's a short walk to the main house where you can find the indoor exhibitions, a cafe/restaurant, and a gift shop. There are lots of trails around the park, and almost everywhere is wheelchair/buggy accessible. A great place to go for a morning/afternoon out, and there are always lots of events on.

Beautiful place and welcome relief from the heatwave as there was air conditioning inside. Amazing displays both regular and visiting. The grounds are stunning although the heat prevented us exploring on this trip so we will have to go back. Excellent lunch and afternoon tea. Clearly a lot of consideration has gone into keeping all ages happy. Something for everyone.

Excellent exhibitions and collections all set in Capability Brown landscape. Making progress with sustainability e.g. air conditioner uses heat pump from the lake.

Beautiful grounds, super galleries containing a varied collection of artworks. Very friendly staff. Only bugbear was poor quality sandwich, acceptable filling marred by economy sliced bread spread with a chemical concoction of hydrogenated oil. Note to self: take picnic

Beautiful grounds and very friendly staff. Lovely cake choices in the café, including gluten free.

Loved it! Very well organised, gorgeous Illuminated trail and despite the cold, it felt very comforting and cosy. Perfect for a late winter treat. Hope they do it again next year.
