It's an amazing tour company. We took their lake district tour. Had a great time with our tour guide Adrian. He was funny and told lots of interesting stories on the way. A nice way to catch up with some history. They took proper measures according to guidelines for covid. He took lots of pictures for everyone on bus and they share it with you through their Facebook page. The tour itinerary is pretty good. You see an oldest stone circle, a beautiful village made from stone houses, blea tarn where you do a little bit of trekking and a boat side in Windermere lake A tour related suggestion - we would have liked more time in Grasmere village especially to sit and have lunch. I think the boat ride towards the end can be avoided.

I did two tours with BusyBus, the Yorkshire Dales and Northern Wales tours with my partner. Both tours were a lot of fun, but my partner and I both really enjoyed Northern Wales more. It's just so beautiful. We had two different drivers, and both were great. I would definitely tour with BusyBus again.

Dreadful treatment of solo travellers. Despite paying in full 4 months in advance and Busybus advertising ‘there is plenty of room and a window view for everyone’, solo travellers are directed to the middle back seat and squashed between 2 other passengers with a view of the bus aisle. The driver became abrupt and rude when challenged and sent me to a second bus along with anyone else who objected. That second bus sold tickets on the day and waited until it was full, again with a solo traveller down the back. The guide mentioned there was 55 people on the bus, so I imagine that was 53 passengers. Just utterly greedy behaviour, no need to sell the middle back seat and discriminatory as well because only solo travellers were directed to the middle back seat. Solo travellers beware. Edit: Sorry, I don't know how to reply to a post. To clarify, I was directed outside the bus to sit in the middle back seat which I told the driver I had paid for as part of the Cruise Critic Group, 4 months earlier and I wanted a regular seat. He then rudely pointed me to port workers to find another bus. I never set foot on the first bus and sat with another solo on the second bus. I'd very much like to know why that middle back seat is sold. There is no window view and you are squashed between two people. I didn't pay for that. The guide actually asked everyone to go to the websites and leave reviews, good or bad. From the reply, it would seem the dissatisfaction with sitting in the middle back seat goes well beyond me. Like I say, solos beware.

Fantastic trip to Wales! The tour guide was so funny and gave amazing information/histories. Really beautiful places they showed us. Everything felt super safe especially considering it was during Covid. Would totally recommend to everyone!

We were supposed to leave Liverpool at 8:45 AM, but we left at least 15 minutes later because the tour was overbooked. We were supposed to be back to Liverpool at 6:30 PM, but we arrived at 6:00 PM because one of the passengers wanted to take a train to Manchester at 6:30 PM. Yes, the whole group returned earlier to Liverpool just for one passenger to take the train; despite our complains (the driver hurried us up the whole tour) and despite there were more trains scheduled. In addition, in the morning, we had to stop at the companie's headquarters because the driver has forgotten his bag. Busy Bus says in their website that the highlight of the tour is Snowdonia National Park. And Snowdonia is the reason because of the most of us had booked this tour. However, we just spent 15 minutes there. Busy Bus also says that they will take us off the beaten track in Snowdonia; which resulted in driving 5 minutes through a secondary road, without not even one quick stop to take a picture. Actually, Snowdonia was the shorter stop of the day. Thus, we spent: 20 minutes in Llandudno, for coffee and ice-creams. There's nothing else to do there, except walking through a pier. 1 hour in Conwy, either for lunch or visit the casttle. Both things were not possible. According to the driver, there was no time, so we had to choose between having lunch or visiting the casttle. 30 minutes in Bewts y Coed, for more coffee and ice-creams. There's nothing else to do there, except shopping. 30 minutes in Pontcysyllte, to walk over the aqueduct... To know how the aqueduct looks, we had to google it because we couldn't even see it from one of its sides. Do I recommend this tour with Busy Bus? Unless you want to drink lots of coffee and eat lots of ice-creams, I don't recommend it. There was a beautiful waterfall just 4 minutes away from Bewts y Coed. We asked the driver to stop there 5 minutes, for a quick picture. But he said there was not time... 🙄 To me, this tour doesn't worth the money. To me, what Busy Bus sells in their website is very different from what you will finally get.

Hashtag # Busfrom hell #Tour from hell #guide from hell The drive through this area is beautiful BUT: We booked this tour four months in advance because we wanted to visit Inveraray Castle and learn about Scottish history and culture. Imagine our disappointment when the Castle was closed due to a Highland games activity (or so we were told). I looked it up later, as many other tour companies, on the same day had visited the Castle. It seems there are no public tours on Tuesdays or Wednesdays but BusyBus had not registered in advance for us to visit. POOR PLANNING We also were forced to listen to terrible sounds as the Guide tried to play Scottish music and comedy routines for five hours from his iPhone thru a hand held mike while we drove as the bus sound system was broken. Many of the passengers spent the entire drive looking at amazing views with their fingers in their ears trying to block the sound. Luckily, we were without internet connection for an hour and enjoyed the silence. (The guide was totally oblivious to the needs of his passengers). He only apologized for the state of the bus and our discomfort once he began asking for 5 star reviews. The dilapidated bus rented by BusyBus in Greenock, the air conditioning did not work and the heat could not be turned off. Everyone was soaked with sweat when we got off the bus. When I spoke to the guide after the tour, he apologized for the state of the bus, but told me that they would be using this same company for the rest of 2022, as they were not able to find buses. We were not even offered an ice cream or a bottle of water in compensation for this situation. The bus driver and Guide opened their window and had a breeze. Hashtag #BUSFROMHELL. We are experienced travellers, and have participated in many tours but this guide did nothing to add to our enjoyment of the day. He was the worst tour guide we have ever had. One wonders when the bus driver is dressed better than the guide. He seemed to be reading anything he did tell us off GOOGLE, so we learned very little about Scottish history or culture. He did organize a scavenger hunt to entertain us. We were to find a picture of the two Scottish flags, a Scottish cow, a pipe player, and a haggis. Four of these five items were pictured on the pamphlet he handed us at start of tour!!! so not much of a game. We had booked a tour of Chester from Liverpool with this company in April 2022(four months in advance) and were told only the week before, once we had left home, that the Chester tour was cancelled leaving us no time to reschedule something else. We were very disappointment. Imagine our surprise, when we were told that BusyBus were not able to get a bus large enough to accommodate 24 passengers so decided to cancel the five of us and rent an 18 seater. Others were able to go on the tour. As we were told that as we were last to book (in April?) they cancelled us a week before? When did they try to book the bus? once again, POOR ADVANCE PLANNING This leads us to believe this company is very disorganized and last minute. If they had rented buses earlier they may have had a working bus for the Greenock tour, they would have known that reservations needed to be made for Inveraray Castle on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, they may have been able to rent a bus to accommodate people booking four months in advance for the Chester Tour or at least notified us that they would not honour our reservation in time for us to book elsewhere. We had another tour booked in Holyhead with them and after this dismal experience asked for a refund of the Wales tour. The Company refused to refund our money. We decided to give them another chance. The castle was closed, the town shops were closed, even the public toilet was closed!!!! Again, very poor planning on part of organizers. This lack of organization of times is often repeated on Busybus tours. Were the sites beautiful and well worth seeing - absolutely but BUSYBUS is very expensive for what you get!!!! I suggest one try another Company. Read less

Hubby and I had a wonderful trip to North Wales with Shelly. The bus was comfortable, the stops were planned well to give us a varied glimpse and overview of beautiful North Wales. Shelly was a great driver as well as being very informative, knowledgeable, engaging, funny, entertaining, and an all-around nice gal. We would definitely go with BusyBus again. Highly recommended!

Had a fantastic time in North Wales. Our guide Shelley was friendly, helpful and funny, making a beautiful country visit even more enjoyable. Have to say it’s one of the best day tours I have been on. Thank you for a fun-filled introduction to an amazingly beautiful country!

I took the North Wales day trip from Manchester on the 24th of September and had an absolutely fantastic time. Our driver/guide Shelley did an amazing job with keeping us entertained during the whole trip while also providing interesting bits of information about the places we have visited. I can safely recommend booking a trip with the company.

We took the North Wales day tour with Shelly and it was fantastic! We had a really great day seeing the beauty of Wales. Shelly was really fun and gave us the perfect time. One thing I do have to say is that the company representatives were really misleading us with directions. Still gave 5 stars because of a perfect day!

We went to the Lake District Tour with Mr. Stuart, to whom we are very grateful for making it so fun and entertaining from the meeting point to the end. He was also very attentive to ours needs and tailored the tour according to the weather. We strongly recommend this wonderful adventure 🤗.

We went on two tours with busy bus in November 2022 and really enjoyed both day trips. Shelly was our guide both days and she was fantastic, provided an entertaining and informative commentary during the day. The web site stated a jolly guide will be provided and Shelly fitted this description precisely. Shelly was very helpful and friendly and ensured we had a great days of exploring he lakes district and Wales. We saw a great range of sites both days and did not feel rushed as we travelled along. We had time to explore, eat and attend some shopping for souvenirs. I would travel with this company again, both day trip we attended were great value and lots of fun was had.

The North Wales Tour was absolutely amazing! Our tour guide, Frank, really made the day memorable. He was friendly, knowledgeable, funny and engaging. Probably one of the best tour guides I’ve ever met. The scenery of North Wales is breathtaking and the small towns that we stopped in along the way were quaint and lovely. I would highly recommend this tour

First I never give 5 stars. North Wales was a great choice my daughter booked. Stuart was amazing. Knowledgeable, friendly, and engaging. The area is beautiful but wish we could have spent more time in Llandudno. I told Stuart I want to retire there. Would easily recommend this trip.

Fantastic day in North Wales, Frank was funny, knowledgeable and a smooth driver on challenging hairpin bends. Kept the energy up on a long but enjoyable day. Well chosen stops with enough time in each, the parts in the mountains/aqueduct/waterfalls were fantastic as gave opportunity for own time to take it all in. One constructive criticism would be that the drop off at Betwys-y-coed was fairly far from the actual pretty bit (around Bridge and waterfall) for a 30 min stop. I knew of this area before so made a beeline, if I hadn’t then would have just looked around shops etc near the train station A fantastic trip with a great tour guide. Thanks!!

Our day trip to the Lake District from Chester was absolutely an unique and memorable experience. We enjoyed the views of the rugged mountains, green hills and meadows with uncountable sheep, the drives through the winding roads passing by traditional English cottages and an unforgettable walk through the mountains along a small lake. We had enough time to enjoy strolling through the village of Grasmere , and bought some lovely Peter Rabbit souvenirs as the Lake District is the area where the world famous watercolorist and writer Beatrice Potter used to live. Full praise to our guide Frank who not only provided us with historical and recent facts about the area, but is a real enjoyable human being who made the trip into a incredible experience!!

Lee, our driver and tour guide Lee was fantastic. First class knowledge of the the tour stops was great. Told a lot of stories about our tour of North Wales. Had a lot of historical facts. Great sense of humor. I would love to take another tour with him. The scenery was spectacular! The tour of North Wales was 9 hours in duration and worth every minute. A great way to see the highlights of North Wales.

Took the Yorkshire Dales tour. Oh my God! Stunningly beautiful. Everything was taken care of for us by our guide, Adrian. He was smart, funny, kind, and knowledgeable, and is clearly really into his job. I've been in the UK for 5 weeks and this was my best day, by far. And what a bargain! I just signed up for another tour with busybus. Wish I'd found them earlier in my stay. Just a perfect day

Gerry was our assigned guide for our 3 days trip in Liverpool. On the first day, we went to Chester and he gave a very detailed explanation on its history and how it was founded by the romans. It was very interesting and I thoroughly enjoyed the tour. He was punctual and was always waiting for us every day. I cannot compliment Gerry enough and highly recommend his services!

Went on the North Wales tour with Frank and it was a lovely trip! I learned a lot, there were a lot of laughs, and had a fun day. Wales was beautiful and seeing it with a tour guide helped me better understand the history and give me an overview of a country I didn't know much about. You will never see a greener countryside! Thank you Frank!

We came across the Busybus looking for a day trip from Chester and we are so happy we found it! We took a trip to the Lake District and it was beyond all our expectations: the itinerary and the program was put together very efficiently, the van was very comfortable, and our driver/ guide Shelly was amazing. She took us to the places which we would never be able to reach ourselves, she told us a lot about the local nature, culture and history in the most fascinating manner. Shelly’ driving was very skillful and we felt safe and comfortable. Even though it was a whole day trip, time flew and we didn’t feel tired at all by the end of the tour. I definitely would recommend this company to anybody!

So, I went on the North Wales tour with Adrian on 23/8/2020. It was a day trip around North Wales, and I actually enjoyed it. Even though the weather decided 'no' in Llandudno and Conwy, the tour around Wales was really enjoyable. I loved the views of the Ogwen Valley and I also liked the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct. Adrian also acted as the entertainer on the bus (setting aside the bad jokes). Overall, I enjoyed the trip.

My husband and I took the Liverpool to Northern Wales tour on 18/01/2020 and it was so good that I’m already looking into other BusyBus tours! Adrian, our guide, told us that there were three items that make a great day tour: a wonderful place to visit, good weather, and good company. I would like to add a 4th—having an excellent guide! His commentary, jokes, and all-around ease with which he guided us did make for a perfect day (along with the first three criteria). Northern Wales is simply stunning, and we were lucky to have someone give us all the information we needed to really appreciate what we saw. There’s also no way we would have been able to see everything that we did, traveling between each destination, on our own. So thank you to Adrian and to BusyBus for a wonderfully perfect day!

I went on a Busy Bus day trip to the Lake District today. Frank was our driver and tour guide. The weather was exceptionally kind, which definitely improved the trip. Frank however, with his knowledge, good humour and kindness made the trip memorable. It’s great value for £ and the bus was comfortable and kept in good order. It’s a reputable company and Frank was awesome. Thanks for a superb day.

I use BusyBus on a regular basis for my clients. In an industry that’s suffering so much during these tough times BusyBus have gone way beyond my expectations for the safety of their passengers and as always give service that no other tour company could come close to. Excellent value for money, great fun operators and a company that takes the guests safety and satisfaction to the next level. Well done BusyBus on behalf of myself and my clients who spoke so highly of you too.

I went on a trip with Frank today and it has been such a great fun. He is passionate about showing you the best an area has to offer and he is a great, special person that makes everyone welcome. The tour was packed with beautiful moments, sightseeing and walks. It could not have been designed any better, so I can highly recommend the BusyBus tours.

Came here expecting a bus ride to London, and it was NOT AT ALL what I was expecting. The driver (Adrian) took many, many wrong turns and got us stuck in the Lake District. I couldn't believe people actually enjoyed going the wrong way. I was going to leave the group on their own but then a whole motherf**king tree fell on me as I was getting off. I died from my injuries and am now typing this from my new home in Hell. Never again!
