Park on Coxley View and you will find the entrance. Great place for training our puppy off lead as it’s got plenty of paths to follow and well sign posted. Can get muddy and slippy when it’s been raining the night before.

A great place to go clear your head, take in some fresh air and just enjoy the scenery. There are lots of different trails to take. We had a walk to Overton and the national mining museum. Plenty of wildlife. Lots of different birds too.

Beautiful woodland gave us some shelter during the dog walk. Even found a rope swing. Great way to pass a few hours. Parking is on wherever you can find it!

Stunning place, we loved it. Just wish we'd worn wellies as it was spur of the moment and couple parts were quite muddy. We found some fairy doors walking back, little one loved it

What a lovely peaceful place for walking. Tjere is a beautiful woodland. Went at the beginning of autumn and saw some fantastic fungi!

Beautiful really. My Dad lives near by and was always out and about on our bikes as children. Only knew this was here a short while ago when we decided to explore our home town more. Wish I knew as a kid we would have loved to ride our bikes here just like the kids do now. Found loads of great places and this is one of my 4 year old sons favourites. Fair few routes and your don't have to look hard to realise there is beauty every where.

A stunning wood situated above Wakefield and well hidden. It is part of an ancient forest and so has many mature trees and interesting flora and fauna to be found. It's on quite a steep bank so not really suitable for wheelchairs. We spent about 2 hours mooching round and found several species of fungi not found elsewhere. A stream runs along the bottom. Another well maintained area by Yorkshire Wildlife trust. Well worth a visit.

Nice bit of woodland area, you'll find other dog walkers there. There a small stream at the bottom and the paths are easy to follow
