Played the Nichlaus course for the 1st time today, outstanding place. Stunning views and great course, would highly recommend playing here.

This resort is outstanding. I played the Cheshire Course for the first time on Saturday and it was very busy. If you book a 2-ball expect to be paired up with another couple of players when you arrive. The clubhouse is brand new and the facilities are beautiful. The course itself is pristine and moderately challenging without being too difficult (I should point out that I'm a beginner). We had a very pleasant afternoon paired with an older couple and just about got around the full 18 before the light failed completely. I don't know that it was completely ethical to allow two tee times after ours (14:20) at this time of year (mid-October) , given that we went round in less than the average time of 4.5 hours stated on the course's website and we were almost unable to see our balls on the final hole. All in all, though this is a beautiful place to play golf.

Stayed 2 nights and played 3 rounds of golf, booked through golfbreaks. Excellent facilities throughout, we had dinner and breakfast included and the food was excellent. Chesire course - we played 2 rounds on this course, can be fairly tight in places and you need to think about your shots. Course was in fantastic condition and the greens superb. Lots of trees if your not straight! Nicklaus course - a more open course with less trees but in fantastic condition and super fast greens. The rough is deep if your off the first cut. Great course again with lots of challenges.

Amazing day out played 18 holes in very nice weather with beautiful scenery! And the meat and potatoes pasty at the end of front 9 was the best pasty I've had in a long time, coffee was amazing too. And staffs were really friendly and not snobbish like some other place. Will definitely go back 5 stars no doubt!!

Went for a Golf Trip, and stayed overnight. The Hotel is beautiful, and the staff very attentive. The food was really nice too. It would be a lovely venue for a wedding. I loved walking round the gardens, great scenery overlooking the golf course with the lake in front of the hotel. The golf was great, really rated the courses, although the Cheshire course has the edge for me as a good golfer. Both are challenging if you like tight fairways and plenty of water. Would love to play here again. Thanks, amy from Leeds

It is a very nice hotel with very good golf courses. The outlying upstairs room we stayed in was a good size with all the accoutrements of a 4 star hotel, but the beds were hard and the rain type shower average. However, the service of the room was very good. Breakfast could be greatly improved. Service is wanting with a lack of management. There are plenty of choices, but many are lower standard with lower quality ingredients and foodstuffs. The restaurants for dinner were good on the whole, especially Vines, but be aware, all is very expensive here.

You can’t knock the hotel and food, stunning but as a party of 12 golfers wanting to play two so called good courses,, what a let down , the greens on the Nicholas course was diseased ( see photo ) and unplayable and yet they still took our £4500 ,, please consider staying and playing elsewhere. Beautiful Bollinger spa experience, both indoor and outdoor pools and saunas and indoor steam rooms and emotional showers, possibly the best spa in the north west. If you're staying at the hotel you won't be disappointed, king size beds (not the British king size, I mean King Size!) And a whole selection of mini-apartments/rooms And two fantastic restaurants. You can later on enjoy a drink in one of the bars or read a book in the library.

I had a nice time at the park with my friends. Customer care was excellent. The receptionist was kind and polite. Dave who in charge of the archery was brilliant, he made it quite engaging and fun for us. We also booked for the vertigo and the zip line and I enjoyed both activities.

I really enjoyed my round here. We played the Cheshire course and it was lovely, although it was quite boggy with all the rain we had the greens were in great nick. Would definitely come back as the clubhouse is tremendous.

I had a very nice experience at this hotel, the rooms are very clean and equipped, the view is very beautiful, the reception staff are very kind. Very good and fresh food. The staff at the restaurant are very attentive to customers and their preferences (well done Nicoleta). I recommend this hotel!

Excellent stay at Carden Park for mine and my boyfriend’s first anniversary and they added a lovely touch with a card and a small box of chocolates in our room. I picked the hotel and took my boyfriend and it did not disappoint. I can not recommend this place highly enough. We had 2 nights here with a beautiful view and stayed within the grounds the whole time. We ate in one of the restaurants and the food was delicious, we had drinks in the bar, played crazy golf, had a walk around the grounds, swam in the pool, used the sauna and steam room, had 2 treatments each and afternoon tea, it was all wonderful. On the day we checked out Antony gave us a personal tour in a buggy and took us up to the 18th hole on one of the courses and the view was spectacular.

From the entrance to this most beautiful 1000 acre complex with 2 stunning golf courses and awesome gardens and surroundings with the friendliest and best of service, it was an absolute pleasure to play golf there and would love to visit this gorgeous place again. Loved every minute ❤️❤️❤️

Classed as one of the best in Cheshire I have been pretty let down by this place twice in the last 6 months. The hotel, food and facilities are good it must be said. What’s not so good is the golf side of things. Nicklaus course again must get a mention and it’s worth a go for sure. Cheshire course bang average condition both visits. (August and April). Societies on both occasions were basically free to run wild with no consequence. Loud, slow play with no real consideration for other golfers on the course. After a 2 and a half hour slog on the front 9 we reported this to the starter in the half way house who just basically said - sorry - it is what it is. I understand clubs loosening standards for the “good of the game” but when you’re paying what you pay to play somewhere classed as the county’s best you expect at least some action. Nothing. We decided to play the front 9 again to avoid a 5 hour slog. Younger pro shop staff on both occasions seemed completely unmotivated and felt unapproachable and blunt. Not the experience I thought I was paying for to be honest. Golf complex felt like it was being ran as a money pumping cash machine where service and common sense isn’t really a thing any more. Disappointing. Perfect for stag do’s by the way.

We loved our short stay away with our little one (under 1). The staff were friendly, worked very hard and delivered brilliant service. The dinning and breakfast menu was of a high standard and tasted amazing. Our room was clean and the bed was comfy. We used the leisure facilities both days, these were good and enjoyable for the family. The grounds are immaculate, even in the storm they were worth a good walk round with the beautiful views. We will be booking again, next time we plan to use the rest of the facilities available as we booked last minute for a quick escape we didn’t realise how great this stay would be!

Having read the reviews of this place, I was quite excited for the experience, very disappointed so far. We’re on our first night and so far this is what we’ve experienced having paid just shy of a £1000 for 4 nights. I’ll start with the positives because there’s only a few… - Check in staff very friendly - Entrance and decor very well kept - Steak from the restaurant was incredible Not so great things… - The room, wow, shocking! I’ve paid less for better rooms in an Ibis. The decor is dated, the carpets are lifting, the paintwork is awful, doesn’t seem very clean and it just generally feels like a budget hotel, not worth £260 a night! - Staff knowledge isn’t great, we were told the one restaurant we would like to book was for afternoon tea only, to later walk past at dinner time to people eating? - The spa, not been in it yet so might be amazing but what on Earth is the point of being a spa hotel if your slots are full with people who aren’t even guests? We managed to secure two half day sessions because they were fully booked, couldn’t even get any treatments and the staff when you went in had absolutely no interest in trying to find a space or help at all. As guests in a spa hotel, not being able to freely use the spa is a bit pointless. - Room service options are pointless, we ended up ordering 12 bags of crisps because the only options they had were sandwiches, of which they were missing ingredients and refused to substitute for anything else. - The attitude of the night porter is shocking, complaining about other guests whilst on the phone and generally miserable in his attitude. - A 45 minute wait on room service because the porter couldn’t leave reception as in his words he was “bloody left here alone”. So, not even been to sleep on the first night yet and you know what, if we could move hotels we would, because this is definitely not up to expectations. We have traveled many hotels and spas, so far, this is the worst.

2Decent Courses⛳️Both like too Play Slighty different, The Cheshire has A Nice variety off holes Especially on the Bk9 with some Great closing holes too Finish And it plays abit Longer.. If I had too pick Out of the 2 I’d always Play The Nicklaus First Choice As the Lay-out is Amazing- 14/15 Enjoyable holes, Birdie chances On all🏌🏻‍♂️🔥Greens Contoured With some Quality shapes- Had A good few knocks over the years on this piece off land- Personal best I Shot a 70 With My Best Bk9 to Date ‘-3’👌🏻👍🏻

Stunning spa with beautiful treatments and a great restaurant attached. Carden Park also warmly welcome people going through cancer into their spa which many spas don't. The perfect place to relax and recuperate - for all.

Just came off a society weekend at Carden, great! Lovely courses. Great staff who put it all together over the last year of uncertainty, so well done, treat the girls to an adjoining spa day, then meet up + have a nice night.

Great golf, even better spa. Courtyard rooms highly recommended. Be careful if going bed, breakfast and evening meal - there is a £25 allowance for evening meal but food is not cheap and choice could be a lot better
