Ardsley Reservoir

Scenic spot

👍 There’s free parking for probably about 10 cars in a car park just off the reservoir. The walk takes about 20 minutes for one round, I usually walk two. You can get a pram / pushchair around here, I use an all terrain one, but any with good sized wheels would be fine. People often mention walk, good, park, reservoir, Nice, nice, walking,

A walk around the reservoir takes about an hour. Lovely views of the surrounding area. Popular with dog walkers. Parking for about 20 cars plus on road parking. Busiest at 12-2 and 5-6. Bring wellies as muddy when wet. No toilet facilities though.

We had a walk round after pumkin picking at Redwood Farm. We parked in the free carpark, it was a lovely walk round. Obviously popular with locals and dogs walkers, we met and stroked several dogs on our way, little one loved that bit best. The views are stunning, especially at the far side over the countryside. It was a lovely little walk, perfect distance for toddler legs, already recommended to others

Nice place for a walk. Good loop with nice views. Loads of dog poo in plastic bags just thrown in the bushes and trees though, which is such a shame. If they were going to leave their dog waste it would‘be been better if it wasn’t in plastic, would’ve at least eventually washed away

Nice to walk around not too far, walking footwear or boots needed depending on weather & time of year

Went pumpkin picking. Nice experience for my son although £12 for two pumpkins rather extortionate. Nice walk round the reservoir for families with dogs 👍

Gorgeous walk around the lake. Nice little car park too, which is a bonus. It can get quite full so it's always best to arrive early.

Nice place for a walk. Good paths all the way round and a few spots you can get close to the water. The paths are quite narrow compared to some reservoir walls so you’re close to others when you pass them. It’s flat and a full lap takes about 30 minutes walking steadily. Very peaceful but quite a few other walkers and cyclists.

Good area to walk. There is small car park. Lots of dog walkers, most on the lead but quite a few without.

Small carpark and not enough dog waste bins. Lovely walk though!

It's beautiful here. It's nice to go for walks around the lake and makes for some good photos. If you ever near here and need something to do with the Family or with your partner.

It's a great place to have a walk, nice flat path around the reservoir. It has a small car park where you can park for free, it's a good place to go for a run, brisk walk or just to take your time.

Because of a artery blockage in my leg I go here as part of my exercise regime. I have to use a walking stick and can only manage one walk around the lake. It is a nice and flat walk which I would describe as moderate. Great views in places and plenty of places to stop and rest. If you've done the walk before try going around in the opposite direction for a different perspective.

Lovely walk around East Ardsley Reservoir, great for a dog walk, plenty of puddle splashing on the little 'beach' and lots of wildlife to spot

It's a lovely place to go for a walk as the water is lovely to look and with nearby farms there's no boring walk around with places to sit and have a picnic as well for when the weather is good plus it's not to to big for you to get bored walking around but good enough to get your daily excise in.There is a main entrance which allows parking or there's other entrance which don't have parking available but if your walking to the reservoir then there perfect instead off going all the way around to main entrance it's easy to get to no matter how your getting there. It is dog friendly as they will love the water to play in or even yourself as may people when the weather was nice was having a good swim but do be careful as in the middle is a pipe that sucks the water out to be used for the local area drinking supply. It also perfect for people who want a bike ride with a good view to look at.The farm across the main entrance do strawberry picking at certain times of the year (I went in June)which are lovely and fresh and makes a change from the supermarket ones but is every tiring when the weather is hot as me and my sister ended up spending 2 hours there (haha).

Love it here. Better first thing in morning about 6am no one about. Dog loves the water. Takes about 45 min to do full area. A bit rocky in places but also sandy area's too. The car park is small but there is on street parking. Also a new farm shop where you can get a drink but not been yet.
