Doctor Walk in clinic

😠 Been twice in the last week, referred to by 111. Reception are pleasant and the waiting time was long, to be expected. My issue is the doctors and nursers are so rude, I understand they have long days but they do not listen to you, the patient, at all. They honestly try to get you in and out of that... People often mention waiting, appointment, staff, doctors, service, doctor, receptionist, busy, centre, time,

Been twice in the last week, referred to by 111. Reception are pleasant and the waiting time was long, to be expected. My issue is the doctors and nursers are so rude, I understand they have long days but they do not listen to you, the patient, at all. They honestly try to get you in and out of that room as soon as possible, despite waiting over 3 hours. I thought my first experience was a one off but after yesterday is well it’s awful. So rude not listening to my symptoms at all trying to tell me what I already have heard. Very distressing after waiting so long for medical attention to not be taken seriously. Hugely disappointing. Do not go here they won’t listen to you

****edit*** Massive turn around in the past couple of weeks. Didn’t have to ring 200 times, friendly and helpful receptionist. My referral place only just received my letter… but I’m inclined to say that’s because it was just sent, by maybe a much better and newly updated admin team… The WORST doctors surgery I have ever been to, even before the pandemic. No queue waiting system so you have to ring 200 times to try and get through to actually speak to someone. Last time I went in I was stood at the front desk for easily 2/3 minutes before the staff acknowledged me. They had seen me come to the desk but they were too busy chatting about their lives outside of work… Any admin stuff or paperwork just gets lost or filled out incorrectly. I’m waiting for a referral (it’s been 9 months) but the wrong paperwork was sent out… still can’t get through to anyone. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE

No empathy, 6 hour waits, nip out for a bit because you feel ill and then you lose your appointment, get refused any treatment. The receptionist told me with a smirk that I need to come back tomorrow! Yeah thanks great service and care for those ill and in pain. Shame on you!!!

Reception and doctors were great. But the booking system is uncivilised and anxiety inducing. There is no call waiting system, you just have to call repeatedly and hope that all the appointments aren’t gone by the time you get through. It is unfair and leaves booking a much needed appointment to LUCK. The clinic could easily have a call waiting system. This system is not fair on patients and the staff that have to deal with angry patients.

I have just registered with this GP this month after moving from York to Leeds. I must say that the recipients team are amazing and supportive. And calls are well handled and assisted. Thank you for your great work all of you :)

I had an walk in appointment with Claire today at around 5pm my name is Sophie Welsh. I have never spoken to a medical professional who has shown me such care and compassion before. She fully listened to me and didn't make me feel silly for being soo worried and anxious. If Claire sees this, I want you to know you really helped me today and you're what other NHS staff members should strive to be. I could tell you were all so busy at the practice but that didn't come across in your care for me. Thank you for making a terrible day better. ❤️

This service is outstanding saw a doctor within 30 minutes on a bank holiday and again today again within 30 minutes when I couldn't even get a telephone call never mind an appointment with my GP. Cannot understand why GP services are so rubbish. Thank you for the great service.

Horrendous service, the staff need to speak up and tell thos higher that this system is not working. 8 years in and I'm about to move myself and my final child to the practice I moved my other children to. They don't see patients for more than 1 thing (even though they can be relates) you have tp go down at 8am to get an appointment as the phonetics are constantly busy

Took our 2 year old granddaughter down yesterday. A female doctor with a north east accent dealt with her. She was attentive, interested and caring. Identified the problems and addressed them in such a professional and lovely manner. A breath of fresh air and a credit to the profession.

Useless, went with chronic chest pains, palpitations and breathlessness, GP did a 2 minute assessment and stated it was muscular injury and to take ibuprofen, 1 and a half months later still the same issue, I have had to get private healthcare. This country is turning into a shambles with no regard for its own tax paying citizens. Time to move abroad ASAP.

Amazing doctors. I’ve been with them since 2016 and, despite moving slightly outside of the city centre, wouldn’t change. Fantastic for mental health

I attended The Shakespeare walk-in centre today as my GP had no appointmentsI was greeted by most friendly and professional staff on my arrival. I was seen within 1 hour by a Dr who confirmed a chest infection. I have worked in Ed for 34yrs so felt very strange being on the otherside.Just wanted to say a big thankyou to you all and keep up the good work.

Last week I went with a head injury and the receptionist was extremely unprofessional. She was not looking at me whilst I was speaking … she was busy looking else where. After I explained what was wrong with me she said what the wait would be and to sit down. I asked her if she needed to know my name and my details. I couldn’t believe the service. I walked out and went to St james hospital.

Although the wait was around 2.5 hours, about half of what it would have been if I'd gone to A&E, & my I couldn't get in to my own doctors. I waited out in my car, cause I don't have a covid test( I'm double jabbed & had my booster). Still the receptionist was really nice& polite as was the nurse.

Restores a tiny bit of faith in the NHS. Used them as a walk in centre, they were clearly really busy but really organised. Triaging patients, doctors were clearly busy but took time to treat you properly and also speak to you as a person. Waiting time said 4 to 5 hrs, I was seen and treat in under 2 hrs

I could not get an appointment at my GP surgery. Therefore, I went to the walk in centre here and was greeted by lovely, polite staff. I did not wait long at all and I was seen in less than 30 mins by a nurse and doctor. I cab honestly say everyone I saw were excellent and offered a professional caring service. You are all amazing thank you 😊

My 3 year old son was seen very quickly at the walk in centre after being unable to get an appointment at our own GP.

The doctors at this surgery are fantastic, especially Dr Qureshi. He genuinely cares about his patients. I have been dealing with some chronic issues and the support I receive is amazing. The receptionists are very helpful and respectful too.

I tried to sign up with this GP and was informed in an email that I would be signed up by the end of this week. I called today and was met with an unhelpful receptionist who told me that they won't be accepting my application to register. She then changed her mind and said that I need to call back in a few weeks to see if I have been registered this is incredibly unhelpful given I need a referral to the GP. Disappointing.

Came here and only gave two stars as I was seen within 5 minutes because there was no one else there waiting. After being spiked in Portugal I came home and was still feeling ill and having an issue with one of my eyes looking droopy. Referred by 111 and I was told they couldn’t do anything after it’s been a week and wasn’t sure why I was there? I was asked if was spiked or just drunk which I think is out of order when given how much “support” there is supposed to be for females in this day and age. Worst of all it was a female doctor with no empathy at all I was just told I was full of cold and they couldn’t do anything. No mental or physical support in any way.

They don't even know what priority is; even as a registered patient, you are being told to wait in a walk-in centre and wait for your turn. Very poor service, even the head of receptionist who shall train staff always leave one or two slots available in-between in case there was an emergency , inexperienced I believe

They don't even deserve one star. We have been refused to get treatment regarding breathing difficulties during positive Covid-19. Doctor advised us to go there without any appointment. They said we shouldn't be there and literally kicked us out. Went somewhere else (St. George's in Middleton) and waiting for appointment now. I don't understand. Shame on you!

This medical practice is a life saver, every medical problem my young son and daughter have had they have always been right, providing them with the best treatment and medication, they even called an ambulance for my daughter when she was ill and they arrived within 10 minutes. This is the only doctors I know and trust. Highly recommended.

Well done to the Dr's and staff at this centre. Absolutely brilliant this past two weeks when my daughter has had to take her baby there twice because our own Dr's still very reluctant to give face to face appointments. You all need a pay rise for all the extra work, care and attention you give to patients.

After waiting nearly 3 hours, male doctor made me feel so uneasy with his horrible unbothered tone, no care whatsoever, responded “so?” after revealing that I had been bleeding internally. Absolutely demeaning and condescending person, extremely unprofessional, so much so I left appointment early and never returned to this practice. Would give a lower amount of stars if I could. Never go here if you’re in an emergency like I was.

.. Good day..!   On August 2, I once again visited my doctor who deals with my health ... and finally I dared to ask her last name. the reason is very simple... The fact is that this is our fifth or seventh meeting... And every time this person surprised me with his attitude towards the patient. (believe me, I know what I'm talking about ... unfortunately for the last few years I have been meeting with doctors very often)... she was very attentive and most importantly professionally did her job.  She was very attentive and most importantly did her job professionally. ... gently, correctly in a friendly manner and very convincingly \ scolded me for my neglect of my health \ instructed me to change my lifestyle. All I can say is... BRAVO... GREAT... PROFESSIONAL... and THANK YOU SO MUCH..! Sincerely  Genadijs Sarajevs.

Extremely rude Asian receptionist. Nobody called me off for check up I've been waiting for 3+ hours & she didn't had any specific reason to justify it.
