Better than expected pub lunch served late on a quiet Sunday afternoon. Good prices and helpful staff

Stopped in for dinner on an overnighter at showgrounds. Service was very friendly and the local cider on tap too easy to drink. Food wasn't super fast to show up, but I think we were the first to order that evening. Was worth the wait, decent portion size and good food. I ordered the half rack ribs which were fall off the bone delicious, could have used more sauce but I like them saucy. Was surprised by the overall size of the pub, with a bistro upstairs, pool tables, and a large outside area you'll find a place to have a sit and enjoy the local vibe.

A great old pub with very friendly locals and owners. Mark will make you feel at home in this pub that is over 100 years old.

Great place to stay! (Cool..) Good feed, friendly, even a place to park the bikes, under cover!

I can't say much for the pub, however the Hawaiian pizza from the pioneer bistro was absolutely delicious, staff was nice too !

I highly recommend going to the Batlow hotel if you're in the area or passing through. We had dinner here twice during our short stay in Batlow, it was great! The staff were so friendly and welcoming. The food, drinks, service and atmosphere was amazing. To the staff, thanks so much for taking care of us while we were in town!

My husband Glen and I stayed for 2 nights during Easter. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Lovely warm atmosphere and meals were fantastic. Comfortable bed and good assortment of breakfast options in a well equiped tea room with everything you need, also set up for relaxing. We'd definately stay again soon! Thank you Matt, Linda & Nikki :)

Matt and Linda were great. 7 of us arrived on bikes looking for accommodation and they sorted us out with no fuss. As it was Anzac day they were going to close at 3pm but stayed open till late for us and even cooked up some pizza for us. Would highly recommend these guys. Marc

Great little country pub. Thoroughly enjoyed having a few drinks and watching the world go by. Food was nice and came out extremely quick. Garlic prawns were great as was the pizza. Quick note for the owners Give your staff the motto ‘time to lean, time to clean’ lots of cobwebs, bugs and general grubbiness that could be addressed in the ample time between serving people.

Lovely sunset from the beer garden. Stayed the night in a comfortable room. Also has a TV room for overnight guests to enjoy and supplied a self service breakfast of cereal, toast , tea and coffee. I would recommend a stop off here.

Thanks for your hospitality, such lovely friendly people. We popped in to use the bathroom and stayed , wish we could have stayed even longer. Thanks Kevin Sullivan and your gorgeous family for the great tunes . Stitch had a great afternoon too.

The food was great and the renovations look fabulous. Really impressed at how nice it all came up. Super generous servings for dinner and really nice presentation. The atmosphere would benefit from a bit of background music but it may have just been turned off when we were there. We would return and do recommend.

GO TO THE NEST CAFE IN TUMBARUMBA INSTEAD!!! It’s all in the name there really, batting low, real low! Horrible attitude from staff, uninviting and no hospitality honestly not worth your time at all!!! Depending on the direction you’re travelling there’s an INCREDIBLE cafe in Tumbarumba not far from there called The Nest, do yourselves a favour and go their instead!!! Incredible food, service and atmosphere!!!!!

I’ve stayed for over two weeks while working away. Best beds I’ve had since I started working away. Food is great, some of the best pizza I’ve had. Matt and Linder are great. Very welcoming and nice place to stay with friendly locals at the bar in the afternoon. Over all it’s a great place despite what keyboard warriors say. Cheers
