We’ve been to other Michelin star restaurants in Malta and London and sadly my husband and I did not feel Re Mauri measured up in comparison. The dishes are ambitious but the execution wasn’t great, felt more like a bunch of random ingredients on a plate that didn’t work together rather than elevated, refined and complete dishes that you’d expect from a Michelin star restaurant. The service was OK but not very welcoming and I’m sure I could hear them criticising us in Italian at one point (I can understand some of the language), presumably as we’re a younger couple and they probably didn’t think we knew anything about good food. Most disappointingly I ended up ordering a plate of veal organs completely unbeknownst to me and honestly I would have appreciated the server clarifying what the dish was and if I was sure it’s what I wanted. Our favourite bits were the amuse bouche and the bread, the rest we sort of choked down. Sadly we left feeling like we wasted €300.

I was with my partner celebrating our 5th anniversary and I think we could not have chosen a better place for it. The dishes are amazing, the service very professional and the location unique. Thank you for everything and congratulations!

very high level restaurant is salerno. nice location, with sightseeing on the costiera. 5 stars for the menu, super fish soup and chef was available to modify some plate for me that i’m vegetarian too.

Great wine, food and service. Beautiful terrace and knowledgeable sommelier. They gave me a menu with no prices, but my male partner one with... incredibly sexist. Had a good time other than that!! Love the decor.

Amazing experience on a very good service and even better menu. The wine list is incredible and the liquors selection is also remarkable. We had the tasting menu with the cheese pairing and also the Campania wine pairing that was a great suggestion to try the wines of the region. Definitely worth every euro.

The food is good here. It has layers of quality and style, but the service had less to be desired. The sommelier was quick to point to local products, but didn't listen or advise based on preferences. Small touches were whisked or slapped onto the table, they doted carefully over water and wine, but I didn't feel serving the food had the same love or attention. Overall you can expect a single star level of quality, but it wasn't a place I would return to or excitedly tell my friends about.

All I can say is WOW we hit a home run with this place in the Hotel Llyod Baia phenomenal gourmet seafood beautifully presented white table cloth dining on the balcony and firework show to boot

One of the most delicious food I have tasted on Amalfi. Service was exceptional, food extremely tasty, prices decent, compared with other Michelin star rated restaurants. Must try dish is beef steak rolled and baked in dough!

Fantastic experience visiting here. Service was perfect, and made us feel comfortable. I loved that when we asked for sparkling water, they presented us with a whole book of different waters with different mineral and pH content. I did a two glass wine pairing since I didn't want the full wine pairing, they are good about customizing their services to suit your needs. The food was spectacular, very unique compared to other tasting menus I have tried since they used a lot of local seafood and other ingredients that brought out delicious flavors. Presentation was also artful. The restaurant is very hospitable, bringing out many extra surprises. I could not even finish the desserts, it was so much. Beautiful views also, if you can sit in the patio area.

Great experience in a great venue. The food was excellent and a well balanced menu of classic and modern cuisine. So many treats in between each course so be prepared to try lots of different things throughout the evening. The head chef came to the table after service to ask about are experience which was a great end to evening. Also being a chef myself it was really insightful to hear how he had prepared some elements of the menu. Highly recommended
