4.5 -5 stars. Such a beautiful place! So many amazing roses! I wish I had found out about this place earlier when all of the roses were blooming. Went there in the second week of October and still was able to take great pictures of the flowers. Also, there was some fall faliage as well.

This park is huge and amazing 😍 we literally spent hours playing at this park all day! The play structures are super big and fun. There are multiple structures and they are all under an umbrella of trees so even though it was 88° that day we were still able to play for over 4 hours in the hot parts of the day. The parking is on the streets around the park and on a far corner from the playground there is a parking lot. There are tons and tons of picnic tables. There were multiple birthday parties going on near the play structures. Located throughout the park there are covered areas to for parties. There were multiple baseball games going on as there are lots of fields for games. They had their bathrooms open. There was also a drinking fountain. There was a spray pad that was not quite open for the season yet. I believe they open in June. There's a market that is across the street from the playground in case you need a snack or something to drink. We had so much fun at this part we will definitely be going back and letting our friends know how great it is!

My first impression of this place was "wow!" My second impression of this place was "WOW!!" What a beautiful curated park this is! I didn't really know what to expect when stopping here for the first time, but any expectations I did have were absolutely blown out of the water. A huge rose garden, a reflection pool, huge open green spaces, tennis courts, a gazebo, and so much more make this park absolutely stunning! I can say with certainty that my first time here won't be my last!

This is such a beautiful hidden gem in the Portland area. With a very scenic view! I came here at dusk time, so I will have to be back earlier during the day! The rose garden is adorable, and the fountain is a nice touch, very relaxing. While walking through the park, we enjoyed a small 4 or 5 person band practicing in the gazebo. Super nice park that I would definitely recommend checking it out to others!

What a wonderful experience. So cool to see this place, oldest public rose garden in Portland. Kids ran around, were able to dance in the grass. The fragrance radiates all the way to the street.

This place seriously has so much to offer. It has a spectacular rose garden that not that many people know about. There’s 3 options for playing in water- a splash pad, an outdoor pond, and the swimming pool. So fun!

It was my birthday night out. Hot out here to dance and breathe fresh air in the cold night. I wish I can share the videos of the different fantastically dance steps I made. If I could make a wish, it would be that Google should make provisions for video sharing.

If you're looking for roses in Portland, most people think of the famous International Test Rose Garden... But the roses at Peninsula Park were actually more enjoyable. Well laid out with a variety of roses and a water fountain in the middle... What's not to love?

Love this place for a walk, picnic, day with the family, or taking portraits of my clients. It has beauty throughout the year but of course shines most when the roses are in bloom. I was there recently to take maternity photos.

Absolutely gorgeous park with a tremendous variety of roses, including hybrids. Some varieties, I had never heard of before seeing them here. A beautiful fountain is in the middle. Very relaxing and very beautiful. There is a reason that Portland has called the Rose city. The city of Portland has done tremendous job keeping this park clean & trimmed.

Good park with a fairly vast area and an amazing rose flowers garden, with a central fountain area. Events area, tennis court, basketball court, swimming pool etc.

Beautiful park with a couple of covered areas, bathrooms, benches, baseball field, and a historic rose garden (even a few roses in winter). Lots of cute dogs, paths are paved, there is a playground and splashpad

This park is totally amazing! I'm not a rose fan, but this place is actually breathtaking. The grounds are very well kept, clean, and tranquil. This is a gem in Portland !

This park is nostalgic. It's been beautiful forever. The unique selection of evergreen trees and shrubs, the enormous area for all varieties of roses, it's as far as the eye can see of roses, with a fountain in the mist, turned off but still there. Peninsula park still host children activities and feed children free up to the age of 18, 5 dollars if older. I didn't really walk around to the recreation room, the swimming pool area or the gym, but the building looks well maintained. It's was a amazing time with my grands, remembering my youth there.

The park is cracking any day and any time of the year here. The springs and summers are packed with blooms and groups of people enjoying themselves while the winter nights have music from local artists. When I visit, I always try to come here for a walk. I wish every city had a Peninsula park.

I was surprised to see roses in bloom this late in year! Fun little spot to walk around in the sun and shade. They also have wheelchair ramps but they can be steep (17% grade.)

Beautiful park with gorgeous trees, lovely lilacs, a hedged rose garden and large gazebo and fountain. Really cute and well kept playground for kids too. Fun for the whole family!

I was pretty disappointed in this park. It was kind of dirty and the roses in the garden were all either dead, or barely hanging on. There were not a lot of places to sit, and there were a lot of dogs around. Not a great place if you are not animal friendly. If you have any smell sensitivities, I’d stay away from here. Between the odor of the roses and the animals…it’s overwhelming.

My first time visiting and I was overwhelmed by this beautiful rose garden. My adult kids brought me here and I was touched by the gesture. This is the garden you'd want and strive for. Walking through with all the wonderful fragrances and beautiful blooms brought so much joy. I felt at peace here. Very calming and inspiring. Love it!!

A gorgeous rose garden with volunteers working hard to keep it beautiful. We sat on a bench after wandering and loved looking at the colors and fountain.

We enjoy playing in the fountain here on a hot day. Lots of dogs & friendly people. Beautiful setting. Splash pad at the playground is unfortunately one of the weakest of any that we've been to

We visited the park on July 29th, 2022, which is almost at the end of the season. The roses were not in their full glory but we enjoyed the outing. The splash pad is awesome for kids and my son thoroughly enjoyed it. It’s a peaceful and well maintained park and makes for a good outing if you have kids.

Great place to watch the roses. The rose garden is quite big with a water fountain in the middle. Also, the garden is kept alive with the help of local volunteers. Other great things to do in the park is lie down in the grass and look at the sky!

This park is beautiful. So many roses to look at, shade and sun depending on what you like. Lots of people having picnics. I took a nice walk around and got some pics of the flowers

There is a reason it's called the city of roses. This park definitely shows off the beauty of the city of Portland!

Great park with lots of space and activities. Basketball, playground, tennis, splash pad, field, seasonal outdoor pool, community center, rose garden with a fountain, walking path, picnic tables… so lots of options. And one of my favorite things about this park is the tall tress shading the playground.
