This kopitiam is widely renowned for its delectable wanton mee in Batu Pahat. However, be prepared for a short wait as the place tends to get crowded during peak hours. The menu offers two options for the wanton mee: original flavor and spicy flavor. Intrigued by the spicy twist, we decided to order both dishes. However, we found that the "spicy" flavor wasn't as fiery as expected. It resembled more of a mild chili sauce spiciness rather than a truly spicy kick. The wanton mee itself was a delight. The noodles were cooked to perfection and had a rich aroma of sesame oil. The wantons were flavorful and complemented the noodles perfectly. For those who appreciate the distinctive taste of sesame oil, this dish is an absolute must-try. If you're in Batu Pahat, this kopitiam is a must-visit for its famous wanton mee!

One of the best wonton mee I'd ever tasted in BP. Friendly services and efficient. Wonton is big in size and delicious. Tangy egg noodles and delicious gravy.

A very simple old school wanton mee that has been around for decades. Had this since I was a kid and the taste is still the same after all these years. We will usually takeaway a few packets back to Singapore!

My first trip to Batu Pahat. I’m very pleased with this delicious bowl of wanton noodles. It so simple yet tasty. The chili sauce was on point. I prefer this over those wanton noodles in Pontian.

This has been around for more than 50 years, one of my mom's favourite childhood stalls and it's so rare that it's still standing today! I tried it for the first time, it's not something I've tasted before but I really enjoyed that I got to taste the same food my mom had 40 years ago. WHAT MOM SAYS ABOUT THE FOOD In her words "the taste has never changed one bit, love the noodles and wanton, char siew is homemade! Nice hor!" :) It was a privilege to be there with my mom. FOOD AND TASTE Anyway, I love their WANTON NOODLE, it goes really well with the green chilli padi. I hardly ever eat carbs but I finished most of the noodles that day because it tasted really homemade and unlike the normal noodle with starchy taste in it. Didn't really like the char siew even though it's homemade, looks like toy. Loo Their WANTON SOUP is a must have, generous portion and we bought 2 packets of frozen wanton to cook at home. PRICE Very very affordable :) VIBE Their colors and branding wins the heart of the foreigners 🌻 so much old school feels, nostalgic

AhSee shop is the must go-to place for wan tan noodles in BP. Serves the local favourite noodles in tomato/chilli sauce. Limited sitting within shop so you may have to queue during peak breakfast and lunch time.

Be prepared for a wait. The small bowl costs RM5.50 while the big bowl is RM6. It's highly recommended that you add a separate bowl of fishball soup. RM2 for 6 pieces. Shop is small and packed but relatively clean. There's a wait because they prepare each bowl by hand and there's usually a queue for takeaway. The noodles are springy even when having it as a takeaway. Their special sauce... Is really special. Green pickled chilli is free flow

Came here for the famous wan tan mee! The wontons are undoubtedly really yummy! RM2 for 4 pieces of wontons which is quite okay for me. Soup base is refreshing and tasty. Noodle is good and chewy. The sauce is quite special as well. Only thing I would like them to improve on is the char siew. Char siew taste really normal. Right outside ah see wan tan mee, there is a small stall selling fried spring rolls along the alley. The spring rolls are awesome! Skin so crispy and the fillings so yummy! Recommend everyone to try the spring roll!

I really love wanton noodles and will try the noodles wherever I find a stall selling wanton noodles. The char siew could be better but overall the taste is very good. This wanton noodle is probably the best one I ever had in Singapore and Malaysia.

The wantan mee here isn't your typical dark soya sauce wantan mee The whole thing is actually pretty clear The char siew is still made the correct way(charcoal) Price here is cheap.... Rm6 for a small, rm7 for a medium and rm8 for a large The weird part here is they ask you if you want spicy which I've never encountered after eating so many wantan mee before I saw most locals who ordered takeaway here will opt for some spiciness but since I'm not good with spicy, I opt for non-spicy

Nice and springy noodle texture. Unfortunately char siew not roasted just some coloured meat with strong pork odor. Dry noodle version comes with starchy gravy. Soup version better albeit with MSG and pepper laden soup. Don’t bother trying the popiah stall next door.

Had a road trip to batu Pahat and decided to drop by ah see wanton mee for breakfast since I have previously saved this place for quite some time. Reached the stall around 10.30am and the place was pretty packed. The place was almost full but somehow managed to get a table near the road. Shortly a staff came and took our order. Their wanton noodle starts from MYR$6.50, we also ordered their fried wanton to go with our noodle. Our noodle came shortly after we ordered. The noodle was nicely cooked, texture of the noodle was springy. The sauce was not bad and has a strong sesame oil taste to it. Overall, food was not bad. The wanton noodle was definitely above average for me. Would recommend people to try!

Our 1st family trip to Batu Pahat, savor this popular wantan noodle. Taste very local & special, my family like it very much.

Local friends told me that there is nothing special about this wanton noodles, this is the taste of wanton noodles it supposed to be "How does that compare to Penang?" I asked (We both lived in Penang, this comparison is more reasonable) “Penang is of course loss ten streets🤣🤣🤣” And now I agreed. Is local old shop so don't expect quality service and good atmosphere here. + Wontons are good to eat

Wanton mee done right. The wanton has the right amount of seasoning and filling. Noodles were light and springy. Sauce not too heavy for stomach.

  • 4/5 Steven L. 5 months ago on Google
Old style wanton noodles. By old style, it meant the char siew is not roasted. Noodles are fresh and springy. The gravy is nice and not too salty. Only 2 wanton for the small portion. Can go for an extra bowl of wanton with soup if you're a bigger eater.

You have to be from Batu Pahat or hardcore of white WTM to really enjoy this. The noodle is thicker than usual and chewy. Sauce is a mix of sesame seed oil and ketchup. Wanton and soup mildly flavoured. The dyed charsiew is an acquired taste that ni amount of green chilli can save it. Just try it for the old school vibe.

  • 4/5 Poh Soh L. 8 months ago on Google
Old school WTM with pink colour char siew. Wanton not bad, umami. Noodle cooked nicely too, not over-cooked. Sauce a bit on the sweet side. Overall decent WTM. Love their wanton more than their noodle.

Friendly peeps despite being famous. Their wan tan mee has this not spicy kind of chilli sauce of it and it has pretty strong starchy taste for me The wantan is pure meat. It doesn't have prawns in it

  • 3/5 Jason C. 1 year ago on Google
To me, it was overrated. The dry version tasteless, same to their soup. Wanton also taste bland, savory chili also tasteless. I even asked for spicy type wanton noodles, everything tasteless😭. Maybe the town people here eating in healthier way la…

Taste unique but not to my flavour. Wantan mee sauce taste like thai chili sauce while wantan soup has sesame oil in it. Sesame oil is great to fry ginger chicken or egg but not other than these.

Nice tangy bouncy wanton noodles for a quick bite in the hot weather :)

Since this shop is so old it is an acquired taste for many of its customers who grew up eating this noodles. The taste is unique and different but I will not go through the hassle of waiting to eat it next time. Waiting time is long.

My must have every time back to BP. Must order extra wantan soup. Now they start to sell frozen noodle. The frozen noodle save the days when I have craving in KL.

Still the best red noodle in Malaysia. A must have whenever I'm in town. No dine in at the moment. Only can take away. This shop doesn't open at night ya.

Always order extra wantan because it's the best!

One of my favourite food in bp. 老字號...the noodle is nice, the sauce is nice, the wanton is nice (i always order all-wanton noodle without charsiew; their char siew is not my cup of tea). The taste is unique which u will know it's ah see wanton noodle even if u close your eyes and eat it. However, their wanton size has shrunk over these two years (haven't been back due to covid). A bit disappointed though. Overall, 4.6 stars.
