The overall experience is quite good: food served fast, clean environment and nice portion. There was a friendly uncle sells huge potato chips 😍

Visited this restaurant based on a recommendation from a local friend, and I must say, it was a good choice. The restaurant specializes in Kway Chap, and it definitely lived up to its reputation. The soup was clear without any unpleasant odors or flavors. It was evident that great care was taken in preparing it. What sets this restaurant apart is the variety of pork cuts they offer. You have the freedom to choose your preferred cuts, which adds a personal touch to your meal. It's a fantastic option for those who appreciate customization. Moreover, the restaurant goes beyond just Kway Chap. They also provide a selection of delicious side dishes to complement your main dish. It's an excellent opportunity to try different flavors and enhance your dining experience. One thing to note is their queuing system. Before finding a seat, you need to place your order and make payment at the counter first. And here's the cherry on top: they have an air-conditioned room where you can dine comfortably. This feature adds a touch of luxury and provides a respite from the heat, allowing you to savor your meal in a relaxed ambiance. Recommended if you are in Batu Pahat!

Kueh zap - 5 star for food, tastes really good and awesome. 1 star for ambience. The fried chicken tastes damn good. Its from next door. An uncle told us the CKT tastes good too. We tasted it but it is just so so.

Place is spacious and air-conditioned. Ordering and payment take place before you are assigned to your seats. Staff who served us was friendly and patient. Kway chap was clean, light on the tastebuds, not salty, and there was no strong porky smell. I enjoyed the egg tarts more than the kway chap. The filling was thick, custardy, and not too sweet, while the crust was thin, flaky, and buttery. Def better than average.

First, you need to queue to order your food but at the same time your friend can get a table while waiting. The kway chap definitely stands out from others. The soup is not too salty. But the serving time is a bit too long. Overall, highly recommended. Don't order too much because the fried chicken opposite you cannot be missed.

Must try restaurant whenever i am in B.P. Authentic and very delicious 'old taste' food, since i was young! Especially the braised pork skin, braised chicken feet, tofu & intestine dish. Recommended....

Worth a trip. The kwa was smooth and good chewy texture. Stock just prefect seasoning. The meat and offal were tendered, no funky smell and we'll season. Best of all they have blood cake. Chilli sauce traditional style and not over spicy and over sour.

Maybe I have too high of expectations to this famous restaurant in Bp,so disappointed for the food. Only can taste salty on kuew tiaw and lu wei. Even the chili sauce only got salt taste only 😓😓 Price and environment are ok.

Overall food is good, just the meat is too soft for me. Nice to eat with the chilli sauce. For people like me first time visit, may be not so comfortable as I need to rush for order due the local practice, customer to order at counter and settle the payment. I can only view the menu at the counter... people are queuing from my back ..I need to hurry up..😅

This is a famous Kuih Chap restaurent in BP. After renovation, this place is spacious and air-conditioned. Staff are polite. However, the prices have increased and the are using disposable plastic spoon for dine in. The pork roll seems different from old days. Don't order the herbal tea, too sweet that you can't even taste the Luo Han Guo. Came here just for the old days memories.

Family of 4, 2 kids of 5 yo & 3yo enjoyed their food so much. The wide kuey tiew is smooth and the soup were lightly taste. The dishes were all very good and clean, we like especially the skin and ear. Nice food and we will come back again.

Many selection of meats and soy based produce. Cheap eats while attended by friendly owner and employees. The broth seemed too plain and mild, though...Hope to return another day to tackle other offers. 2 thumbs up!!

The 滷味 kuah is 10/10, the innards were cleaned properly and had little to none bitter taste, the pork belly fats melts in your mouth and the braised tofu does not taste bland. Kway chap soup is a little bland but the noodles were ok :) The only drawback, is that the drinks were limited.

  • 4/5 Frankie L. 1 year ago on Google
The place is clean but with a kind of toilet smell all over the restaurant. If not because of the smell, the atmosphere will be rated 4 Stars. Food wise, most of its braised pork, tofu, beancurd, eggs are delicious and have a milder taste than what we can taste elsewhere. This reminds us of old and kampung style. 👍 Due to the limited service staff, all the processes are DIY, from queue to order food and drinks to payment.

Likes the soup of the noodles, tasty yet not salty. Waiting time a bit long but at least was given seat and wait inside. Portuguese egg tart also quite nice.

  • 4/5 Lynn C. 9 months ago on Google
Been here many times. Last time I was here, lean meat is sold out, blood cubes not available. This time all innards sold out. So depends on the day you visit what is available; else they do have the complete variety for Kway chap

One of must eat authentic food in BP, very delicious 'old taste' food. Staff service is polite and efficient, systematic service by queue up to order before being seated, great dining experience here.

They serve the best Kuey Chap in Batu Pahat. The pig organs and intestines are very fresh and are cooked to perfection. The egg tarts from "Hao Hao Chi" can also be found here. Definitely one of the best that I have tasted.

  • 4/5 See E. 4 months ago on Google
The food is good, worth a try. Kuey Zap is soft and smooth, flavorful and not too salty. We tried the soy marinated eggs, pork skin, big intestine, belly meat, and curdled blood. Overall they are all quite enjoyable. The price is reasonable too.

A well-known restaurant in Batu Pahat. For those who love to eat braised meat and bites, egg tarts, and other fried dishes found in this restaurant. Remember one thing is NO outside food allowed. 🤣

  • 4/5 Steven L. 5 months ago on Google
Good and clean place for lunch. The innards are clean and does not have a gamey smell. They have braised pig lung which I have never seen anywhere. It tasted good and spongy. The salted preserved vegetable is too plain for me.

  • 2/5 Victor N. 6 months ago on Google
Lovely soup broth. Big intestine head had nice funky smell. Good variety. Pity the kweh and mui chai were over cooked. Chilli dip was underwhelming. Should have made it more tangy. Luo han guo drink terrible.

No kidding when people say it's the best Kway Chap in BP. The menu makes ordering really easy. If you don't eat intestines (just like me, as you can see in the photo), no worries as the meat, 三层肉, tau kee and tau pok are delicious too. The chilli sauce is also great! Must try if you are in town!

Another old establishment that I managed to visit while in Batu Pahat was the most famous kwai chap place in Batu Pahat. After finishing my meeting in JB, I drove up north back to BP and timed my journey to reach the town around noon time. My trusted Waze brought my directly to the restaurant. Located on the same floor, they share the same building as Batu Pahat's Rubber Dealers Association. They don't allow indoor seating at that moment (I didn't ask, but most likely due to MCO) so I had to order on the spot where they took my order and then paid the bill before taking my seat along the corridor outside. Lucky for me.. it wasn't that hot & stuffy that day. As I was Hans Solo that day... I couldn't order much: ◾Kwai chap - silky smooth square rice sheets doused with light and aromatic herbal soup. Love their little touch by topping with fried garlic which made it tasted better. ◾Braised meat - many type of meats available, even spare parts. I went for their pork belly, pork skin and braised egg. Don't forget to dip into the given chilly sauce. Quite good I'd say. ◾Fried spring roll - not the best but definitely above average. ◾Salted vegetable Note: there's a truck outside selling crackers made of tapioca, potato and others...
