Stayed for a night here and was pleasantly surprised at how comfortable and clean the room was. I last stayed at Crystal Inn several years ago and had a bad experience then β€” but they have indeed improved by leaps and bounds. The recently renovated rooms are clean, comfortable and cosy. The smart TV includes Netflix and wifi was strong throughout the hotel (another plus point!). Would definitely stay again during my next visit to Batu Pahat, hopefully the standards remain as high :)

Might be a two star hotel, but the hotel was well kept, clean and tidy. Also conveniently located next to the main road, a supermarket and a restaurant. Highly recommended if one is staying in the area.

Wow, this place definitely exceeded my expectations. Would recommend for out of towners for sure. Very comfortable. Feels very new (seems to be newly renovated & refurbished), has all the amenities for a simple but very comfy stay. We were a party of 4, stayed in the dual-king bed room for 2 nights. Staff is extremely hospitable and helpful. Doormen always on standby to greet and open doors at the entrance for you. Their security guards are always present and would go around the perimeter of the building and they would always help guide our vehicle when we parked. Parking is free for guests in the parking spaces around the perimeter of the building. Plenty of spaces in my opinion, especially during the day, though it does get somewhat full towards the night but somehow there's always a spot to park. The lobby area has additional restrooms and was very clean and well maintained. Unfortunately there is only 1 elevator for all guests to use but 99% of the time during our stay here, the wait wasn't bad at all for the elevator. The entire hotel is only 3 floors anyways, so if the hotel is packed and you aren't carrying luggages, I found using the stairs just as convenient and easy going up and down between floors. Rooms are cozy with beds and pillows that are fluffy and comfortable to sleep in. We were surprised by the complementary snacks. This is probably the only hotel I've ever seen that provides you with so many different complimentary snacks in a basket, bottled water, and even juice, chocolates and canned jasmine tea in the fridge! They have a decent coffee machine, and an electric kettle that brews from coffee pods too. Each floor also had a communal/shared water filter/water cooler, that also has hot water, in the hallway so we were also able to refill our water bottles or kettles as frequently as we want 24/7. TV in the room came with Netflix, in addition to TV channels, which was very nice. Bathroom had all the amenities needed: toothbrushes, shower cap, shampoo, body soap, bar soap for handwashing, and a wall-attached hair dryer and mirror. Bath towels, face and hand towels too for each person in the room. I also liked that they provided slippers. They also have a safe, some hangers, and an extra pillow in the closet. No in-room iron though but I believe you can request for it as needed. Our room had motorized curtains & blackout curtains that were controllable by a switch on the wall which was very neat. While their only downside is the lack of an inclusive breakfast, it is an understandable thing and I don't feel like it's a big deal at all. There are tons of breakfast options in the batu pahat area and people can easily find food to eat. They do have a nice little cafe beside the lobby area that even has ice cream & waffles till the evening should you need some coffee or a snack. All in all very impressed with this little hotel. Good central location in town, and would definitely be my choice hotel to stay if I am back in town next time!

The rooms are amazing. Loved the interior design and thought put into the details. The room facilities are equal or better than hotels with multiple stars. The front desk service is excellent. And the hotel is close to the center of town and good food joints. If you're looking for a place to stay when you're in Batu Pahat, look no further!

Stayed at the newly renovated Crystal Inn Hotel (Super Deluxe King Room 310) from 18 Jan 2023 to 26 Jan 2023 for CNY. During check in, I was impressed with the moderness of the lobby and friendliness of the staff. I did not expect the response to my usual silly requests (highest floor, extra pillows) as the staff have already assigned me to the highest floor and there were already extra pillows in the cupboard. Note: I did not make this request beforehand Check in was prompt with no fuss and we were on the way to our room within minutes. Room was immaculate, modern (machine operated blinds, smart TV, UV mask disinfector), spacious and came with freebies such as free snacks, soft drinks and a coffee machine + coffee pods which are replenished daily. With that being said there are some minor points for improvement which management can consider: 1) Length of the bed is too short. I am 1.71M and my feet stick out from the edge of the bed. 2) WiFi was slow and unresponsive on the days where the hotel was full. Was unable to work and could barely load a youtube video in 480p. Counter staff said they will check but there was no noticeable improvement. Although this could be due to the number of guests as the WiFi was fine before Hotel was full. 3) House keeping was very thorough. Amenities and towels were replaced daily even though we hung our towels up and were intending to reuse them. The hotel should consider implementing a green policy of only replacing towels if guest requires it (e.g. towels on the floor) 4) Guests should have the option to request for 2 room cards. 1 room card is too restrictive as there could be multiple guests with different plans/schedules 5) Door could not be locked likely due to misalignment of the lock with the door frame. 6) Price of the rooms are higher than the other hotels but it is still worth it as there is nothing newer and cleaner 7) Mask disinfector is for lack of better words useless as most people use disposable masks Closing Thoughts: I am glad I stayed at Crystal Inn. It was fully booked throughout CNY and I can understand why. Without a doubt, I will pick Crystal Inn whenever I am in Batu Pahat as they are the new Number 1 Hotel in Batu Pahat. P.s. Thanks Wendy Foo for the recommendation

Nice and comfortable lobby, everything looks bright, clean and new. Professional staff who were welcoming and gracious host. Seamless check in, and efficient. All done within 5minutes or lesser. Friendly staff who gave children goodie bags for my friends kids. 3 storey high only, but everything was really clean and luxurious looking. Room was spacious, clean and pleasant to the eye. With free in room mini bars and snacks, with a coffee machine. However, room can have a little small walkway light when key is removed, because it’s complete darkness. Parking is right infront of the hotel. Easily accessible but under the hot sun. There’s a restaurant just right opposite the hotel. Overall a pleasant experience and will book this hotel again if I ever return to batu

Everything looks minty new and well maintained. It offers built-in hot and cold water for handwash and shower sections and the water pressure is delightfully great for a shower. Air conditioner is cold too. oh, one more thing- coway water purifier is available for water refill at common area. The only drawback is the carpet is a little dusty. Other than that, all good.

Very clean, comfortable and value-for-money hotel with good service. The manager Anne was friendly and gave us vouchers for coffee and ice cream. There's no breakfast here but the staff recommended eatery places for us to try. One area for improvement would be soundproofing the rooms as we can hear guests talking loudly outside our room near the lift. Otherwise, overall good stay.

This business hotel has been renovated around earlier 2023. I love the room interior. It's clean, modern, good finishing and comfy to the max. There are no restaurant in the hotel so we will not have a breakfast. However, the hotel provides free snacks in the room which they will refill every day. Recommemded hotel for you who visiting Batu Pahat.

Honest Feedback on the property just like other review - modern, newly renovated, everything is working well but lack of sound proofing, as I can hear every noises came from corridor area - so that's a 4 star. For this review below, ITS ONE STAR, zero if possible. However with regards to my check in experience, it was horrible. Even though hotel policy stated 2pm as check in, i was not able to. was told fully booked the night before and room is not ready. Asked to expedite but only on the third attempt with involvement from someone inside the room, we were able to finally checked in around 230pm. There was no time given to us on how long we should wait. Was explained repeatedly about fully booked the night before, but if Hotel Management cares only about maximizing hotel profit and allowing the previous hotel guest to overstay (again i was told guest checked out late), I DO NOT SEE HOW THAT IS MY PROBLEM IF THE HOTEL FAIL TO MANAGE TO ABIDE BY THE CHECK IN/OUT TIME POLICY, which is set by the hotel as well. I appreciate the gestures to "recover" the situation later on with some ice cream vouchers, but I should remind you that damage is done and I cannot accept a hotel that does not comply to their own policy and unable to manage the guest for the sake of maximizing room occupancy resulting to no back up. THIS IS WHAT I MEANT BY MANAGEMENT HAS A LOT TO IMPROVE. However, i would say that the front desk lady did her best, just that she lacks training and experience from the hotel management to handle such situation. But good job to her. So if you choose to stay in this hotel, you need to ensure that you can accept checking in way after 2pm, as your room lilely will not be ready at 2pm, and you need to go through multiple follow up to finally get your rooms, which you have paid.. doesn't sound too right is it? Paid ~RM240 for a 28m2 twin room. That same day when I was not able to check in, called Katerina Hotel which is 300meters away, cost rm150 for a similar 26m2 room. Think about it before reserving this inn.

The room was very clean and huge for family room. The best part was the shower, it is sooooo soothing. Difficult to describe πŸ˜… even my kids loved the shower. Only that parking is a bit limited, but you still can find parking though. All in all, we would love to stay in this hotel again in the future. Thank you for the great experience ❀️

Crystal Inn has been operating since 1992, with many locals being familiar with this property. Despite looking like a motel, this unassuming property had just been given a new lease of life last year with a fully renovated premises and rooms. The hotel is located 1.3km from Terminal Bas Express Batu Pahat situated in the city centre. I had boarded a coach from Larkin Bus Terminal and alighted at this bus station. There are many interesting cafΓ©s and shops in this area. I had lunch here, followed by a 20mins walk to the hotel. There is a friendly doorman who opens the main door whenever you enter or exit the hotel. A security guard is also stationed 24/7 at the hotel entrance. I had booked a Presidential Suite (Room No. 301) for my two nights stay here in Batu Pahat. Besides the bed area, there is a living room and a small walk-in wardrobe with a work desk. I like that I can close the walk-in wardrobe door which allows me to work privately in this cosy enclosure. The bed, work desk and sofa areas are carpeted, which gives a luxury hotel feel. The bathroom offers a rain shower and handheld shower, both which provided good water pressure. Dental kit, shower gel, shampoo and hair dryer are provided. In addition, there is a mini bar offering complimentary drinks and Ferrero Rocher chocolates. There is even a coffee machine for your enjoyment! You can store your valuables and documents in an electronic safe while you are out. There is a huge SMART TV and a large sofa in the living room. Besides Malaysia and Singapore TV channels, you can enjoy YouTube and Netflix in the comfort of your room. Universal power sockets, USB and USB-C ports are available for your charging needs. Despite the room facing the main road, I am delighted that there is no traffic noise. I had a good restful sleep during my stay here. The hotel offers welcome ice cream for guests staying here. Ala-carte breakfast service is served at the hotel cafΓ© located on the ground floor of the property. The breakfast menu comprised of items such as spaghetti, curry chicken with rice, puffs, pies and croissants. Guests are entitled to a 20% discount for dining at the hotel cafΓ©. There are limited dining options within walking distance from the hotel, such as Pizza Hut Restaurant Batu Pahat - (170M) and KFC The Summit Batu Pahat (350m). If you are looking for Chinese cuisine, look no further. Just across the road is Sea View Restaurant, one of the longstanding stalwarts of Batu Pahat. Incidentally, the restaurant owner also owns Crystal Inn. It was a great dining experience there. For supper, I took a 550m walk to an open air food court located in Jalan Omar. This place which serves Malay and Chinese food only comes alive during the night. For groceries and toiletries, there is a huge supermarket, The Store situated beside the hotel. Crystal Inn may be classified as a two-star property, however its rooms and amenities are akin to a five-star hotel. This is possibly the best hotel in Batu Pahat and I would highly recommend a stay here!

The hotel is new and the place is clean. Check in was fast and hassle free. Room was clean, aircon was cold, such a relief in this hot weather. Complimentary tidbit/ and drinks were provided courtesy from the hotel and very appreciated after a long journey to the hotel. Everything about the place is great and definitely recommended.

The room, cleanliness and amenities + free tidbits, can drinks & coffee/tea machine excellent. Also provides hot & cold water dispenser on every floor. Hope the high standard & pricing is maintained.

I stayed at this hotel for two nights. The hotel is newly renovated. The room was very clean. The bed was very comfortable. There is a capsule coffee machine, bottled water and some snacks in the room, and they are all free. The staff were friendly and check-in and check-out were quick. I don't drive in Batu Pahat, so the hotel location is not very convenient for me. If you drive, this shouldn't be a problem. You can also use Grab to get around in Batu Pahat, and the fare is quite cheap. If I come to Batu Pahat again, I will stay at this hotel again.

Hotel newly renovated. Clean and comfortable rooms and all the staff we meet are friendly and helpful. Lift is also new and useful for elderly. There is a cafeteria on the ground floor if you need a coffee or cake or muffins. Free parking available within the hotel premises. Overall it is a pleasant stay and the staffs from reception desk to doorman make us feel very welcome.

For a tiny 3 star hotel, the attention to details is impressive. No doubt we booked the higher grade room - double deluxe - but still the quality of the pillow is equal to some global luxury hotels we paid like 6 times more!

  • 5/5 Angela T. 1 year ago on Google
We booked connecting rooms for 2 nights stay. Newly renovated and very tastefully decorated. The min we step into the lobby, the feeling is so good. The rooms are very clean and cosy. Carpet in the room is clean, thick and comfy, importantly the bed and pillows are very good quality. We had good sleep. The rooms are sound proof. There is a coffee maker with capsules. Free minibar with snack and soft drinks. The reception’s service is very good and polite. Security of the hotel is good too. But I would like to suggest the management to consider fixing wall hooks in the toilet for us to hang our clothes or extra towels.

We stayed in the Family B room on 22 Nov 2021. Made reservation through Booking.com.... It looks exactly as the promo pictures. Clean and spacious. I have no complain at all on the room. I feel like I am getting more value than the price that I've paid. Strongly recommended for family of 4 and with limited budget. Btw, I can't give a 5-star rating because this is not a 5-star hotel.

  • 5/5 Edmund K. 1 year ago on Google
Clean rooms with all the essentials - excellent coffee maker, good toilet and shower, good bed (with firm mattress and pillows), great location, nice lobby cafe, reliable wifi, and very reasonable prices. With better decor or a 'gourmet' restaurant, this could be a boutique hotel.

A very good organised hotel. A big car park with a security guard. Front desk department very neat and with CCTV cameras. Lobby clean with soft music. Service time very exact. Room in and room out time punctual. The cafe is big and air conditioning. All of the food are Halal Certified. Food served hot and delicious. Service excellent like a 5 star hotel. They maintained a warm atmosphere with a polite manner and friendly service. They are located in the centre of town. Behind the hotel is a big shopping centre. The Store Hypermarket. Next to the hotel is Summit Parade a very big shopping centre. In front is the Police Headquarters. You can get the bus, taxi and Grab taxis in front of the hotel. Hotel has a free Wi-Fi network. There is a garden with a fountain just at the corner. It's beautifully lighted at night and have a 24 hours free WiFi. See you there. πŸŒ˜πŸ“

Highly recommended. Great value for money. Though the hotel is not new but you can tell it was refurbished, and nicely done. All the amenities like air con, hot & strong shower, ample parking were there. Only thing they can improve is change of mattress - a bit sunken in the middle. Will definately stay here when in Batu Pahat.
