Look out for the cleaner beach on the other side of the island where it is less busy given that the mainstream beach (facing the other gili / ferry) can get too crowded with people and horse carts. The beach is perfectly quiet and chill for sunset watching / sun tan. Will not really recommend swimming unless you are confident swimming in tide (the sea can be rough with the tides).
